My car had starting problems and so I took it to Midas Altamonte Springs and left it there overnight. Next day I called to fallow up and they said it was ready, the problem was the break-light switch was miss-placed and I had the break-lights running constantly and draining my battery O.o I knew for sure that wasnt the real problem but as long as it worked I truly didnt care. Next morning, the car still had the problem, once it started I took it back there and they did another diagnose. Next day I called to follow up and they say "the fuel pump is being LAZY and needs to be replaced". It was actually funny because I have never heard of a lazy pump... anyways, the repair was 700 box. I order to save $100 I bought the fuel pump on ebay, but while shipping I downloaded a diagnose procedure online because it was hard for me to believe the fuel pump was the problem, since once the car starts it ran perfect. Turns out based on the downloaded diagnose procedure done by myself (not mechanic) the problem was the computer. I took the shot and bought a computer, put it on, car ran perfect. Went back Midas verrry frustrated, told them that they made me spend 5 days with no vehicle, 100 dollars in a needless fuel pump and 6 hours of labor. In addition to all that I pay them $70 to fix a break-light switch that had NOTHING wrong. They refused to give me back the $70 dollars.. They dont know what they are doing. They talk like they do but dont let that fool you...

Had a tune-up done on my vehicle and they told me that my alternator was bad and I did not know my alternator was bad there was no reason for it to be bad. Once I left Midas several hours later my vehicle breaks down. I am a couple of hundred miles away from Midas had to have my vehicle towed and still paying labor hours on my guys driving the truck. How to get a rental vehicle for the guys to get back home and had a loss of work for a day on the guys. The other mechanic said a faulty alternator was installed in my vehicle.. I brought paperwork showing that I had the alternator replaced to Midas and they said that they cannot give me a refund that they do not have any money. They cannot put money on my credit card northa can they write me a check. He said he would have to get with his big boss and after he did this he says he does not know what they are going to be able to do for me since I did not bring it back to their particular location. Had I had it towed several hundred more miles were they going to pay for the tow truck? They are apparently not paying for anything. I called them for days ago and spoke with the manager and he did not get back with me until I walked into his office.. I would not recommend anyone at any time to take any vehicle to this Midas in Altamonte Springs unless you do not care about a warranty.. sad that people can be this way and rip-offs hard-working people.

This store is under new Management, I worked directly with the Store Manager, along with the new owner. I had come in to have my front brakes replaced, they were grinding, and I knew I was going to need new rotors in the process. Being that I recently moved from Michigan I needed to go somewhere I could trust and this is the place! They did a full inspection and checked to see if I could save some money and have my rotors turned, unfortunately they couldnt be, however my brakes were factory, and lasted 100,000 miles, :) Back to the Store under full inspection they brought me out to review my rear brakes, (shoes & drums) they looked awful from my own inspection, they were able to turn my drums, and I had new shoes put on. All in all, I have better brakes than when I bought my car at 28,000 miles!! $$$ wise they also worked wonders with me, I came in with a budget and even though I needed extra work done, I spoke with the owner who was very sympathetic and he decided to lower some costs here & there, bringing my total down to $40 less than my max budget! Will definitely come back for any work I need on my car, and if your looking for some true people, with excellent skill this is the Midas location for you!! Highly Recommend!!

After recently relocating to Altamonte Springs, I wanted to find a service center for my car that was within walking distance from my home. I chose this Midas location prior to reading the reviews below (...I would not have had I read them prior). .. but I have to say-- perhaps due to new management as of Sept. 9th, 2013 -- my experience was A+ and couldnt have been any more pleasant on all levels. From the knowledgeable man who answered the phone when I called for an appt (who remembered me as I walked in the door ...from our phone conversation) to the service technician who worked on my car, I could not have been more impressed and/or satisfied. I will be returning with future car needs. My feeling-- GREAT customer service, Competitive Pricing... and they are eager to earn your business!

What a bad experience! I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. I mentioned that one of my tires might have a slow leak. They said a visual inspection was free and to put it under water was $10. I told them to try the free option first. I dropped of the car at 9am and waited hours until I called them to see if it was done. They said they were finishing up. I picked up the car and they charged an additional 10% of my oil change in shop fees. They said they took care of the tire leak at no charge. What shop fees?! We are gud about how that was ridiculous but to no avail. I took the car home and in the morning noticed that the tire was low and in the same spot! Talk about lazy. I wont be going back.

Went in for a break-change. We were told that our car had major problems and that the repairs would cost over $1200. We were informed of a broken wheel, leaking joints, multiple parts needing replacement, an a/c issue and a water-pump in need of replacement. They were extremely pushy about the need to take care of these issues immediately as it was a "danger" to us. I made a call to my regular mechanic (who was busy for a few days which is why we went to midas in the first place). Our mechanic laughed and said that the car would be fine and to drive away...which we did. We spent a total of $300 elsewhere and the car ran great. This was almost two years ago. Car is still running great.

I went for a diagnostic because my engine light went on,the service was fast, and not helpful..after i denied the Extremely over priced services in wich they recommended, they printed a paper diagnostic of my vehicle in witch they withheld important information,Until i found out the next day and made them give me the actual results..the guy in the front desk Sean was very rude and said that the part was gonna cost me 500$..in witch I ended up paying 80$, and he said the installation was gonna be 40$..and i ended up putting it in 5 minutes.. the people from auto zone gave me a free diagnose with more results and tips in how to do it myself FOR FREE!!!!..
