I visited a total of 5 times, 90 minutes per visit, for a single problem. My drivers side window stopped activating recently, and it became apparent that this was an issue with the window motor. 1st visit (Feb 8, Mon) - after calling and explaining the nature of my issue, they told me to bring it in. I was there for 20 minutes before they let me know that the electrical expert was not in at the moment, and I should leave. I was to come in the next day. My concern level - low. 2nd (Feb 9, Tues) - taking off a few hours from work, I go over lunch. Im told it will take 50 min to get to my car and that this will be to determine the issue, not fix, so I go get food for an hour. I come back to find the door panel still on and two guys looking at it. One of them tells me its the first time this make and model had this work done here. 20 min later, its still on, and they cant find a screw that needs to be released. I YouTube it, and quickly find the last screw. They open it, and 30 minutes later, say they will order a part, and itll be here tomorrow. They have me pay for the whole job, to completion, now. My concern - medium 3rd (Feb 10, Wed) - I come in earlier, 10 am, today. I am taking off a half day of work. After 50 minutes before they get to the car, this time they open it in the first 30 minutes. I go to get food, and after I return, the door panel is open, and there are two different guys looking at it. The motor, they say, is attached to the door with rivets, and they cant remove it today. Theyll call me over the weekend to schedule a time for me to come in. My concern - medium 4th (Feb 20, Sat) - after a week of no contact, I call Friday (Feb 19) morning. I am told they havent called because the part isnt in, and I explain that the part was there last week. He asks to call me back. 20 min later, I get a call asking me to come in now, theyre ready. I reschedule to Saturday, as I cannot take off more work. Today (Saturday), they see me, and after I go eat for 2 hours, I return, and the door panel is being replaced. Its done! The window works! I retrieve my keys, and nothing is mentioned about my experience. I flag down the General Manager, explain my situation, and after some cajoling, he parted with a free oil change. I had just had mine done, but it was an OK gesture. My concern - medium, but consoled Were done, right? 5th visit (Mar 6, Sun) - after a few days, I noticed that my door wouldnt open. I crawled in from the other side and discovered the panel overlapping the frame. One of the screws had been left out, though the cap had been replaced. Irritated, I ignored it for a while, adjusting the panel when it caught. I called them on Saturday, and they said they were busy, come in tomorrow. Today, they had me wait for 20 minutes till I asked if "I could fix it myself, I know how to operate a screwdriver". They screwed it in, gave me my keys, and walked away. No explanation, apologies, or anything. My concern - *sigh*, this is what I get for asking for an " experts" help. Next time, Ill stick with YouTube and dealership body shops.

TL;DR: Went for warranty replacement, they didnt understand or want to learn it properly, over-charged me. After getting a puncture in my <3mo old Continental tire and looking for a Conti dealer open on Sunday I came to this location. Per Contis Road Hazard Warranty if the tire is less than 12 months old or within a certain amount of wear then a new tire is replaced free of charge. This location had my tire in stock so good to go, right? I was first quoted the full price of the tire and after explaining the Conti warranty (which I also had in writing in front of me) to the Conti dealer they said "ok" and I reaffirmed that all I would be paying for was their labor to replace the tire, and the associate concurred. When the tire was ready I get up to the register and the final bill was $50. "To just switch out a tire your labor is $50?". I was charged a pro-rated fee for the new tire instead of getting one free of charge per the warranty. After reading the warranty back to who appeared to be the service manager she told me "No, thats only if its directly through Continental, every tire is pro-rated." After asking if the wear was within Contis warranty limits she replied "we dont measure wear like that..." Well I just got off the phone with Continental and thats completely false. The Continental rep even offered to be contacted once I went back to the shop in hopes they had the old tire so she could walk them through the proper warranty process. While impressed with Contis service I really dont want to go back to this location because even with the warranty printed in hand they ignorantly fed me false procedure and over charged me (even later discovered in the detailed receipt I was charged for their own version of a Road Hazard warranty that I never asked for - *got a refund for that). If youre looking for an authorized dealer who knows how to handle your brands warranty coverage, look somewhere else.

My sisters car had misfiring cylinders, so we brought it to this pep boys for inspection and replacement. After inspection, the man at the counter (cant remember his name) said that two cylinders needed to be replaced (though he recommended replacing all of them). One of the cylinders was located under the engine manifold and because of this, the labor cost was going to be very high. Despite this, we agreed for them to do the work on just the two broken cylinders. Not even a month later, the car was having the same exact issue (misfiring cylinders). We assumed that it was the other cylinders that were going bad, so we brought the car to a different car service location to get an inspection. The gentlemen at this place informed us that the car had three faulty cylinders, but we discovered that one of them was the cylinder that Pep Boys SHOULD HAVE replaced (the one under the manifold that was very expensive due to labor). We were super surprised after hearing this, so we decided to call Pep Boys to verify the work that was done on the car. Interestingly enough, they claimed to have no record of ever working on the car. If thats not scammy AF then I dont know what is. We are hunting down our physical receipt now (although I think they never gave us one at the time because "it was in their system..."). My sister was charged 700 dollars expecting to have two cylinders replaced, but pep boys blatantly lied and only replaced the one that was easy to get to. And somehow theres no record of this work being done? This is disgraceful, and I would avoid this location at all costs. There are many dishonest people working here and its sad. Also, half of the reviews you are reading for this place are damage control reviews by fake accounts. Go look if you dont believe me. Bring your car to a local place. Pep boys is a joke.
