I was a storage customer for 2 years with this location, that was recently taken over by Uncle Bobs. I had a wonderful experience with the previous location, I was on automatic draft, so I never had to come in to pay, and the facility was always neat and clean. I arrived on 3/31/12 to move my items to another location, because I noticed water getting into my unit from an overhead AC duct, to which the only resolution was placing a garbage can underneath it to catch the water. I rented a truck, and arrived to move my items out from my 2nd floor climate control unit which is indoors. I noticed that the elevator doors were stuck open. I went to the office at 6:00pm, and the new manager, Scott, had just locked the door and placed the "Closed" sign in the door. I knocked, and he signaled to me that "Were closed" and flicked his hand in the "Go away" gesture. I knocked again, and he could see me clearly through the window. He came to the door upset, cracked it open and said "Yes?!" I explained to him that the elevator doors were not closing and I had rented a truck to move out, and there was only one elevator per building, and it would be a huge inconvenience to try to move everything out by carrying it down a flight of stairs on the side of the building. His reply, "Im NOT an elevator repair man. I can call someone out, but it will be 2 or 3 days. Sorry." I politely explained to him, that since the facility was so dirty, the tracks on the elevator were caked with dirt, and the sensor would not allow the doors to close, and all I needed was for him to come and look at it, possibly sweep it out. He said, "Sorry, were closed. Nothing I can do" and shut the door. I couldnt believe how rude hed been. I fixed the elevator, got down on my hands and knees (your paying tenant) and scraped out the dirt from the track with my keys and hands. It worked after that, as I had explained to the manager Scott. The lack of professionalism, customer service, and sheer disrespect has made me NEVER want to store there again, let alone tell any of my friends about it. I was a model customer, always paid on time, and I believe that it is reasonable to ask for a clean facility, and polite staff. Truly unbelieveable. Fire Scott and find someone who cares about customers.....please!

I decide to write this review cause sometimes people dont show the way they really are if you dont buy what they are selling, is really sad and nasty to see and feel as a walk in customer about what happened to me at this store location, unfortunately for me i had to experience a rude welcome from the MANAGER in this location, let me be more clear: about 3 weeks ago I went there to check the place to rent a an storage unit, well I met the manager with big smile at her face and i ask for her to show me a couple of ones storages, anyway at that time I could not decide if I was going to rent or not then I left , well believe or not I went there today and really didnt know if I was there before until I met the manager again, anyway I was surprise and I said hi to her happy that I knew that was a good place to rent ;and like I said before believe me or not she welcome me saying that I was there before and she already had show me the storage units ,really?? 3 weeks ago???so if you go buy a car or whatever we sell in this world and if you dont buy is that right get treat like that ??? I told her : wow!! This is rude!! Anyway she did not apologized and I decided to move up and ask her if the units were available and she handle me an application and I say that I was only looking for the information, she ask me: So you are not going to rent?? at this point I decide to say that I didnt want rent that place anymore saying that was terrible her customer services and I ask to talk to the supervisor and she told me that she was the supervisor and if wasant enought get her treat me like that , I had to hear her staying that she would not rent to me the unit! !!!! This is ultrage! !!!!!, unfortunately for me as an immigrant theres a lot of people like that here in orlando

I came in with several questions and an unusual request, that Christina and Mayard quickly resolved for me and were very friendly and professional the entire time. Christina also let me know about some other things they offer that would help with my plans for the coming year, which I truly appreciated. I HIGHLY recommend Simply Self Storage on Douglas Avenue in Altamonte Spring, they really are wonderful! = }

They were the best when I was moving from South Carolina to Florida! They were supposed to close at 6 pm and they stayed open until 6:45 so I could put my things in and get our keys. I do appreciate their help during a VERY stressful experience and making it so much smoother!

If you want security, go somewhere else. Their gate is ALWAYS broken and left open. Talking to customer service on the phone is a joke, if they pick up. And yes, the "Manager" Scott at this location is a completely obnoxious schmuck. Overall IMO 2 thumbs Waaay DOwn...

This storage facility sucks! Stay away! If you want your stuff stolen, if you want to be accused of stuff, or if you just want crappy service then this is your place. Otherwise stay away you have been warned.
