Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Sarasota is a rip off. I purchased a garbage disposal at home depot and called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and asked if they could install the disposal. They said no problem but there would be a $59 service fee. I said ok come over to my home and install the disposal. When the Technician came he told me the installation was $275.00. since he was already at my home I told him to go ahead and Id talk to his boss later about the charge. He spent 20 minutes installing the disposal and didnt even hook up the power to it. His explanation was "Oh were plumbers....we dont do electrical work" (Even though the office said he could completely install the disposal). Oh $275.00 for 20 minutes is over $800.00 an hour (what a crock). He spent the next 17 minutes trying to sell me air conditioning services and water purification services. I have called their office every day for a week to speak to a manager and each time they tell me someone will call you back. I havent heard a thing. Stay away from these people.......far far away. Biggest waste of money. I will never have Benjamin Franklin out for service again. When I scheduled an appointment with them for service I explained that I needed my sewer lines replaced. The representative assured me the service could be completed as long as the service man was aware of the issue. The service man came out told me my sewer lines needed to be replaced ( mind you I stated as much when I called for service. Charged me $59.00 to tell me what I already informed the company of! Then said let me schedule you to have someone come out with a camera at $300.00 for that service. I declined!

Plumber could not fix our water heater, yet charged us $129 for the "service call." In addition, he broke the latch on the unit. Supervisors have not returned our multiple calls for 3 months. We were told the $129 would be refunded, but it has not been, and it has been 3 months. Beware: the estimates are not free, and customer satisfaction is definitely not a priority.

The technician was prompt, courteous and efficient. We are new to this house and this kind of plumbing, the valves of which function in a completely different and illogical fashion. He politely showed my wife and I how to turn the water on and off and turned it on, All of this took approximately fifteen minutes. Thank you, Jean and John Young

Your employee was very efficient for what he did, but he didnt have to change the donut under the toilet. Therefore I think I was overcharged. I dont think buying a contract offered by One Hour, Benjamin Plumbing and Mister Sparky is a good value. I could have had this work done for a lot less money.

Colin arrived on time and got the job (install a new kitchen faucet) done in an hour +/-. He was careful to clean up when he was finished. Overall a good experience. Only reason not 5 stars was that the price was rather high $275 for a not so difficult job

I was impressed with the work done by Joe Morin and Chuck. Joe was able to find the source of my well problems--burning out ten pumps in since 2014. I now have a new system and new piping from my well and feel confident my previous problems have ended.
