I will NEVER use or recommend Geek Squad to anyone for anything. I went into the Best Buy in Clearwater, FL on Sunday 2/7 to inquire about having the screen on my laptop fixed as I had cracked it. I was greeted by a guy who asked me if I had an appointment, to which I answered no. He went over to a computer and told me the earliest I can be seen Is 1:15, it was 11:30 in the morning and there was nobody there. I asked to speak to a manager and a guy came out from the back and very rudely "explained" to me the process and I questioned it as I had a simple question and did not understand why I could not get an answer. He finally listened to my questions after arguing with me and when I was told that 1) "We do not send items to the manufacturer to be repaired unless you have purchased it here and have the Geek Squad protection" and 2) "You have to go online and find the screen and bring it in to the store for them us install" -WHAT A CROCK!!! I left the store and went down the street to ubreakifix and they had an estimate within an hour and I picked my computer up 2/11, with a repaired manufacturer screen.

A 28 minute hold time to speak to a non tech geek. Way to staff appropriately, no wonder why the geeks at this location always seem annoyed Or have bad attitudes. Addition: I tried to call back and change an appointment only to be transferred twice and then hung up on. Nothing but class from these nerds!!! Avoid at all costs

Actually there process is an improvement, I went in told I needed an appt. came back at the appropriate time and was seen in minutes, they called me when it was done again ,in minutes, had to re submit because they missed the main reason I came there and waiting but so far seems to be a good process

The guys here were super helpful with me and my mom... She was buying a new computer and needed help getting the data off of her old laptop that had crashed. They did an awesome job taking the time to answer all of our questions and making sure we understood everything.
