First let me start off by saying I am the most computer illiterate person to occupy planet Earth! I had a hard drive failure on my Dell computer. I called all around where I live and got the runaround from all of the local computer repair shops. I finally decided to bring my computer to Best Buy and have Geek Squad take a look at it. While I was there waiting to drop off my computer a man in front of me was arguing with the Geek Squad representative in front of me. Apparently this man had a hard drive issue also and was arguing with the Geek Squad representative over the price of $450 that he was being charged for labor alone in replacing a hard drive and they lost all his data on top of that at that point I turned around and walked out the door. I was very frustrated and was scrolling through Facebook when I saw an article and a good friend of mines page that had an article about running from the computer tutor. I called up my friend and asked her about Scott and the computer tutor if she recommended him. Not only did she recommend him but she personally endorsed him knowing how I am with computers. And thats where my life with computers has changed. I traveled 65 miles to bring my computer to Scott and I will do it again in a heartbeat! Scott explained everything and the greatest of details understanding my situation with computers. I had a couple issues after the repair nothing to do with his work but my own ignorance and called Scott and he immediately called me back remotely got on the computer with me and guided me through explaining every step of the way what I needed to do. His prices are very very reasonable. His knowledge is amazing and the ability to communicate that knowledge with somebody like me is phenomenal! He did everything he said he would do and then some! He even added a couple little things to my computer to help me. As a disabled veteran on a fixed income I am extremely pleased with Scott and the computer tutor and would highly recommend anybody to go to them! My personal AAR: 1. Excellent prices 2. Excellent service 3. Recovered all the data from my hard drive. 4. Finish the job ahead of schedule. 5. Excellent communication with the customer. 6. Compassionate and understanding with this customers weaknesses and ignorance with computers! 7. Will not consider taking my computer for any repair to anyone other than Scott at the computer tutor!

I had a great and non-stressful experience with The Computer Tutor! I had a brand new computer and the hard drive crashed and I was no longer able to retrieve all data off my computer including several years of pictures of my children and family, I was devastated! Initially, I took my computer to Best Buy/Geek Squad and they wanted a hefty price and they still didnt guarantee that they would be able to retrieve the data and I would be out the money, with no refunds. A friend recommended Scott from Computer Tutor because he was successful in retrieving his sons college work off his malfunctioning hard drive. I called him and he gave me the reassurance that there was a good possibility that he would be able to retrieve my childrens pictures. A short time later, with a level 4 recovery, he was successful! I paid a very reasonable price and I got pictures of my children back, which is priceless!! You will be satisfied!

I live in Texas but have worked with Scott Johnson over the internet for several years now for all of my computer software issues. I subscribe to his service plan and he keeps my computer running in tip top shape all the time and I dont even know hes doing it. Its all done remotely. He keeps my computer free of viruses, malware, spyware and other malicious software that finds its way onto my laptop with my normal online activity. What I really enjoy about Scott is his weekly newsletter and pod casts. Ive learned so much about my computer, various software systems and all things related to my online experience through the years from Scott. Scott Johnson is the Computer Tutor. I contacted him because with each passing day I was becoming more and more concerned about the amount of valuable information I had stored on my computer with NO backup! I was also pretty sure that the stock virus protection I was using wasnt really protecting me. Scott quickly helped me address both of those needs. We dont even live in the same state! Scott is truly knowledgeable, and so easy to work with. He is fantastic at explaining, using a vocabulary that a non-techie like me can absorb. He explained options, never pushing to oversell anything. Fast, efficient, pleasant, smart. Great experience. I highly recommend. I didnt want to be one of those people with a crashed hard drive and no back up! Now I can sleep at night.

The Computer Tutor has always been very quick to respond. I had a major problem with my HP Office jet all-inclusive one printer. They discovered it was a software problem. It took time to diagnose, uninstall the old software and correctly find and install the new software. They saved me from buying a new printer. My HP printer, scanner has worked great ever since! I have the utmost confidence in Scott. I accidentally erased some files of stories and poems that are irreplaceable. I thought they were gone forever, however, Scott was able to retrieve them which Im forever thankful. The Computer Tutor is extremely knowledgeable and I trust them explicitly, and highly recommend them.

When Scott announced he was moving from Maine to Florida and would no longer be available to visit our home to bail us out of computer problems my husband and I felt like a limb had been cut off. That was quite some years go and, guess what, he still is able to take care of our numerous computer problems.
