LOCAL GYM definition: a place where one can go to and lift weights, do a source of cardio, and maybe just maybe get a decent workout done.... CROSSFIT BLUEPRINT definition: a place where everyday makes one feel BETTER THAN YESTERDAY....Explaination: I started to workout the fall of 2007 at a local gym, doing my thing, a little benching here and there, squats, flys etc....I thought I was a killer, benching 225lbs weighing in at 178-180lbs.... I cared for nothing else but to get BIG... I thought my conception of getting STRONG and looking GREAT was in the right path....I WAS MISTAKEN.... In 2010, I stepped into a whole new world of WORKING OUT and BEING FIT.... (Mind you, i was still around 175-180lbs, thinking i was strong and fit).... It was called, CROSSFIT BLUEPRINT.... The first day I stepped foot into CROSSFIT BLUEPRINT was probably a TREMENDOUS eye opener to how UN-FIT I actually was...Just like most of us guys, we are all hard headed and think we can do anything that involves fitness....WRONG... Once I finished the BASELINE( first time work-out).... I knew that this is what I needed in my FITNESS world.... The next day, I was sore in places I didnt know could be sore!... Well I approached one of the coaches( Jorge Perez), and told him " Yo...I want to be at 180lbs, lifting HEAVY and looking FIT"....and he said " Ill see how i can help you".... A couple days went by, and I saw coach Jorge Perez WODing(Work Out of the Day)...and he was lifting REAL HEAVY weighing around 155-160lbs...I WAS SHOCKED!...and told myself, this is what i want to be.... a fit dude LOOKING SEXY, and LIFTING HEAVY!!....it has been my motive ever since.... To anyone that cares about living great, and feeling unstoppable, you MUST come to CROSSFIT BLUEPRINT... even if you got an injury, that is not an excuse, I came into CROSSFIT BLUEPRINT with a torn miniscus, and a dislocated shoulder, and now im back squating over 265lbs, deadlifting 400 lbs, and doing close to 30-35 pullups unbroken....this has been LIFE CHANGING for me... i would have never thought that i could lift so heavy in my LIFE....NEVER...but now I am...and Im currently weighing in the range of 153-156lbs, with 7.6% body fat....and have a NASTY SIX PACK ;).... THANKS TO CROSSFIT BLUEPRINT!!!! I get a bit tear eyed because of all i have accomplished with in a year.... enough about me, I want you guys to come try it out, and feel what I feel/felt ever since that first day..... I can sincerely say that I LOVE CROSSFIT BLUEPRINT, AND THE CROSSFIT BLUEPRINT FAMILY I HAVE THAT HAS MADE ME WHO I AM TODAY..... NO WORDS CAN DESCRIBE THE EXPERIENCE, SO STOP SEARCHING, AND COME ON THROUGH TO CROSSFIT BLUEPRINT.... :)

I was looking to change my life after I participated in my first OCR Race: Run For Your Lives in April 2013. So I started exercising by running 3 times a week & changing my diet. It was working, I was losing the weight & getting in better shape for OCR Racing. For my next 2 races I did much better than my first race, the only thing that was missing was the upper body strength to do the obstacles. So I got on the net & started researching CrossFit & Boot Camps to go to the next level in my self improvement. On doing the research I came across a Groupon for BluePrint Training. After several conversations with them on the phone, I decided to take the plunge & try it out for a month. They start you out with a 3 Session CrossFit 101 Course where they go over the fundamentals of CrossFit & start to teach you proper form. These first classes are conducted by Founder/Owner of BluePrint Jorge, I have to admit at first those moves are tough to do. After the first month I stuck with it & kept training at BluePrint, for those first few months I was sore all the time. When I did my next OCR Race there was significant improvement in my performance, I also hurt my left arm bad. I was going to stop going to recover from the injury but of course the coaches convinced me to keep at it & would even modify the workouts for me so I could keep training. I recovered from my injury & was ready for my next race which happened to be the Spartan Super. Thats when I noticed that I made the right decision to train at BluePrint. Fast forward 9 months, the coaches not only push you to do better but also advise you on downgrading & working at your own pace so you dont hurt yourself. Theyre always more than willing to help you if you have any questions or doubts about anything, not to mention their community events are epic. Theyve changed my life for the better & they will do the same for you. Youve tried the rest, now join the best!

This is specific to the Sobe location: Ive been crossfitting on and off for a year, and while Im not any good, I know what Im looking for. The Good: Coachs are nice, and try to work with you as much as they can. Form isnt left to the wayside. The Bad: NO ONRAMP: Not sure how this is even a thing, but there isnt an on ramp. Tried getting my girlfriend to go, but with the lack of instruction for core movements, she was hesitant, and I dont blame her. Programing: The strength programing is pretty much nilche. They have a strength segment thats not included in the regular WOD, and pretty much the same movements at different percentages. The Main location seems to have a much better programing mindset, but sobe might as well not even bother. 30 Min metcons pretty much only. Schedule: The programing isnt what I was looking for but luckily theres alot of great stuff online (outlaw, football, etc) so I figure I could come in and kinda do my own thing, so long as they felt comfortable with everything. Problem is, there is no open gym period. At all. So pretty much your limited to just doing their programing. This is a bit out of the norm from the 3-4 boxes Ive been to. Sometimes there was an "unofficial" open gym time, but that seemed to have come to an end. Alot of this is out of the coaches/trainers control and they are some mean machines, who really work hard to motivate you and offer you pointers. The problem is everything else.

If you think youre in great shape...think again! Every time I would go through conditioning for baseball and Id always excel in them, but when I joined Crossfit Blueprint Miami, it seems there is no way to catch up. Crossfit Blueprint Miami provides every athlete with a great environment to get better everyday and there is a new workout that is more rigorous than it was the day before. I have been training with Crossfit Blueprint for about half a year now and the results have been great! When I started, I could barely finish workouts and I couldnt even do the Rx weight. Within the first month and a half I barely finished my first workout with Rx weight and now I can do most workouts at Rx weight(for example power cleans at 155 and Rx+ at 185) The coaches are great and the workouts are very competitive among athletes. Without them, I would not be driven to my maximum capacity everyday. They also allow give athletes the opportunity to take advantage of a strength program that is not time consuming and gives results very quickly(For example, when I first started, I could barely deadlift 245 lbs, now i can deadlift over 330 lbs!) In half a year i have gained 20 lbs in muscle and I weigh 160 lbs now in my junior yr of high school. To conclude, Crossfit Blueprint Miami is the place to be!
