Worst post office branch ever. Slow and incompetent. Even when fully staffed. Not only that, but if you dare ask a question you will nothing other than a condescending reply, a reproach and a referral to the USPS website -- never an answer. If you drop off packages that are already labeled, the only ones that will show an acceptance scan are Priority Mail packages. First Class packages will not be scanned until receipt at the Tampa sorting center, or until they are delivered. Which means that if a packaged dropped off at the post office is lost, they wont have a record of ever receiving it. The Annex office, which is supposed to handle questions for this retail location is not much better. If you call with a question that you are not able to find an answer to on the website, they will refer you back to website anyway. In other words, useless. Theres ONE person at the annex site that is helpful, his name is Justin (or Dustin) - if someone else answers the phone, you will be greeted with annoyance, incompetence, lack of professionalism or the refusal to help - "Look it up on the website" is the preferred answered, even if youve already informed that the issue is not answered in the website.

Ive never had any issues with this post office. Even during season when the line is out the door, the clerks are always helpful. Yes, the lines are long sometimes, and I have had to wait awhile for my turn, but they do have the clerks with the portable scanners that walk through the line to check out anyone with a simple mailing and a credit card. This is a USPS office so dont expect to hand your unpackaged item over to the clerk to have them package and mail for you. If youre looking for that kind of service head over to UPS or FEDEX store. Also, if your credit card will not scan but the persons before you, and after you does, then maybe there IS a problem with YOUR card. Pros: they open at 8:30, clerks are able to answer questions, parking is easy, they are always stocked with packing materials. Cons: gets very busy, potentially long waits, not so cheerful greetings by clerks.Yes, a cheerful greeting would be nice, but its a post office, not Walt Disney World. Go in, wait your turn, mail your package.

An employee by the name of Peter has mislead and misinformed the public on several occasions. The last incident occurred on May 16th, 2011. Peter denied the unused portion refund of a PO Box. The incident was brought up to a supervisor, and consequently reported to the Postmaster. It is unfortunate this kind of conduct occurs within a great institution, that has taken so much pride throughout the years. Furthermore, it is a shame that Peter has repeatedly mislead the public - as he pleases, and whenever he feels like it - when other employees take their job seriously. Many times, above and beyond their responsibilities. No wonder the United States Post Office has lost so much money.

Mustache man needs a new job, he obviously doesnt like his current one at the USPS. I asked to ship my item and all he said was it needed to be ready for him to do anything. Its as if he didnt know they sold boxes and packing materials... even though they were visable. He offered no suggestions at all and just expected me to have boxes in my home. If i have to vist this post office to first buy packing materials, then go home and pack it myself, then go back again... I might as well use the UPS store down the road. Very unhelpful and obviously sad man.

I received a letter from the Estero Post Office and needed clarification before calling the sender. I tried calling the number that was given to me on the letter (signed by the supervisor of the Estero PO) repeatedly for over 30 minutes and the line was always busy. I have to presume that they just take their phone off the hook so they dont have to deal with calls. That, to my way of thinking, is lousy, lousy customer service!!! Ridiculous to think that Id have to drive to the post office and stand in line to get a simple answer to my question.

Ive shipped many items from this stations. If people would have their items prepared to ship, the lines wouldnt be as long. I know what Im doing, what it should cost, and already have the shipping label made and box tapped. I dont know why people assume they will do all that for you and the lines wont be long. Just go in, ship your items, no small talk, and leave. No need to ask questions you could find the answers to online and slow the line up.

Employees take most of the parking that should be for the customers. The hell with customers , they can wait seems to be the mantra in Estero The customer service reps should be educated in manners and the correct manner to help rather than making excuses, good thing they have a lifetime job, could not work in any other place due to their incompetence..Supervisor should be monitoring the service area rather than staying sheltered in the back..

Yeah the lines may get long but hey thats life. Learn to have some patience... the employees are doing the best they can with that they have. I always have a positive experience here. Love that they have the 24h drop box. Except one time the box was locked so I couldnt drop off my package but thats ok. I just went online and scheduled a "package pick up" from my house.

I went to mail a package to my boyfriend and when the package was received it was ripped open and the contents inside were stolen. Which means someone must have stolen it before it arrived to his house. I am so disappointed in whoever did I and I hope they get caught because its illegal to do something like that. I dont plan on returning here for future mailings

Excellent service. Sign on door acknowledges previous customer comments/concerns and describes USPS efforts to improve. I was fourth in line when I entered; done five minutes later. Employee was cheerful and helpful. Theres an addition to the building in progress.

One register open inside at 11am? Line of over a dozen people waiting! Update yours signs, shows your mail drop box is outside. One of the worst post offices Ive been to in lee county.

Worst post office ever. Surly, unhelpful people displaying an incredible level of incompetence. Whatever it is you want they cannot do it, even though other post offices can.

This is the third time that I tried to use the self-service kiosk in the lobby on a Saturday only to leave in disappointment, again, because it was not working properly.

I use this post office a lot. They have good days and bad days. They also have good clerks and bad clerks. Overall though its a pleasant place to mail packages.

This location has a nice self service kiosk that can be used outside of normal business hours. Used it on numerous occasions without any trouble at all.

Pretty sure the DMV is faster than this place... 3 people working... 5 customers deep... but only 1 of them helping customers... come on now...

Every time I send something even if it is going overseas, the recipient always gets my package or letter.

Love that they have the machine in the lobby for 24 hour service.
