I tried to post this twice. Turns out there are rules against that. So, the tuffys at San Carlos park is simply the best shop around. I dont use that lightly. For years I, like any normal person, kind of bounced around looking for an HONEST mechanic. I over-payed, dealt with near criminals in some big name shops, and had bad experience after bad experience. After consulting the Google review for this tuffy, I decided to give them a call. This was over a year ago.... We have four cars and I am VERY picky about their maintenance. I gave my oldest and most needy car to them for some routine work. I sent it to them knowing it needed more work in a few specific areas, but I didnt mention it as a test to see how "honest" they were. When they called me back they listed each infraction in order of how important and not a SINGLE thing that I didnt know about it. I of course had them fix these things and since then I have been hooked. They have worked on my track car, my dailies, and my garage car. I have also brought work trucks to them and they have never ever let me down, always have been fair, and MOST importantly.... HIGH QUALITY WORK! There is simply no better option for any vehicle and any use. If you are going to build a relationship with a shop this is the one. I will say, they are BUSY as a result. So be patient, they may not get you in today, it may not be done in twenty minutes, but it is all worth it. Go see Steve and Nick!

I have been having my cars worked on at Tuffy since I moved to South Lee in 2000. The owners and staff have always been good to us. Steve is honest and forthright about what your car needs and does not need. When an engine got blown in my wifes car due to a bad oil change at one of those fast change places, I knew exactly where to get it fixed. They got the job done within the budget I had and the car runs great. During the whole process they communicated with me on what is going on with the car and how things were going. I do not hesitate to get my car fixed there, from small jobs to big jobs these guys get it done.

Tuffy Auto Service Center is awesome! When we arrived in Fort Myers for the winter and were having some car troubles, Steve and his staff performed a thorough, honest assessment of our vehicle and told us the truth about what we needed to have done to make it reliable and safe. We had the work done and were very happy and satisfied with the results. At the conclusion of our three month stay in Florida, we returned to Tuffys for an oil change before making our 1,500 mile journey back home. Will we go back to Tuffys when we return to Florida next winter? Oh yes we will!

I dont usually write reviews but this shop deserves one. I had a quote from another shop and not only did Steve beat the quote but my car has ran better and smoother than it has in a while. Steve is seems to be a very honest guy and made sure to go out of his way to make sure that he is upfront about everything that he does. It is obviously important that having a good reputation is important to Steve and his crew. It is a very busy shop for a reason but he still gets things done in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Steve and his employees to anyone.

These guys are the absolute best! They have been nothing but helpful in the two times I have visited them lately, all for major work on my car. They are thorough and precise in what they do. Have answered many of my questions and given great advice along the way. I trust their service and have already recommended it to any of my close friends and will continue to do so for any person that needs car work done from an oil change or wiper blades, to tires and a timing belt. I agree with the others who report that Steve and the staff at Tuffys are honest, reliable and fair. As a woman, it is refreshing to be able to get automotive repairs and maintenance without the worry and expense of being sold parts and services that may be unnecessary. I appreciate being able to drop off my vehicle and the ride home that Tuffys provides, so that I can work while my repairs are being taken care of. After 10 years, I am still a loyal Tuffys customer.

I went there to get a second opinion on my car because I assumed there could be a problem with it. They told me there was no problem, but tried selling me on an oil change and tires. Since I didnt want to purchase anything they were offering me they charged me a magical $25 to drive my car around the block. Typical mechanic just trying to get every dollar they can from you. I came here based off of the reviews and do not agree with them at all.

Our Family has had our vehicles happily maintained by this Tuffy location for several years. Recently we had a rather challenging and illusive problem. Steve and Robert were determined to find and fix it once and for all. We were very impressed with how they handled the warranty aspect. The parts or labor not under Tuffy warranty were clearly communicated and priced fairly. We would recommend them to anyone without reservation.

These guys changed my break pads and rotors today and they were so, so nice and friendly. They answered my questions and explained why they were doing what they were doing. Im a female college student so it is nice to know that I have a place to take my car that is honest and fair. There were a few other people in there while I waited who were treated like old family friends...Ill definitely recommend them to everyone.

I went to another shop for an oil change they found a problem with my truck and told me they would fix it right away. I asked for an estimate and they slapped me with a $1,350 price tag for something that isnt to hard of a fix. I brought my truck to Tuffys and they not only fixed my truck quickly but cut the other shops estimate in half and were very helpful and friendly.

Steve and his team are fantastic! Great customer service, honest, timely and considerate! I have a 2007 and a 2010 Toyota Corolla. I bring my cars there regularly for maintenance. They are helpful and work to get our cars working at peak performance. They have always gone out of their way to assist. I highly recommend this location and the team at Tuffy!
