Ripped off local hunger relief program. Charged $1800 for a water pump replacement on our truck without calling or emailing work order to our program. Not the first time theyve made costly repairs without calling or emailing a quote. This was after I was told it would be a simple repair and that a water pump could be as cheap as $30 by their head manager. I called a week after dropping the truck off to see if they had a quote and they said it wasnt ready. Half a week later I get a call from the shop saying the truck is ready to pick up and they then sent me an invoice. I had all my old invoices reviewed by two other diesel shops and was informed by both (one being a company that has helped us when purchasing trucks in Tampa. Never charged us) that theyve been taking us to town for a while on all our repairs. Replacing thermostat every repair. Weve had a lift gate that they have looked at THREE times and charged us each time and never fixed. Our driver found out it was a fuse and its been working ever since. Our program provides free foods to 40 feeding programs in Okaloosa and Walton County. They know this! I spoke with their owner over 2 months ago on the phone and told him all my concerns and he promised to call me back once he figured out what was going on. I know that they can charge as much as they like over retail, and thats their right, but theyre going to definitely need to provide a quote beforehand if they expect their customers to pay such outrageous rates. I had two other local mechanics quote me between $700 - $900, without me giving them rates we were charged. I told the owner wed pay half since I do understand he has parts and labor to cover. I never heard back from him. Their secretary Debra sent me a nasty letter saying how shocked she was that a nonprofit would rip off a local business after we paid for half the invoice they never quoted us. Thats right - sent them a check and they sent me a nasty letter. Insists they called on the quote. Apparently dishonesty is institutionalized at this business. Weve spent thousands with them over the past three years. If there wasnt a real good reason not to, we would pay them in full again.

Took my Motorhome there for an oil change, and had my fuel tank drained! Obviously someone broke in at night and stole the fuel, also cost me $100 for locksmith to repair the keyed door of the fuel cover. They admitted that it happened then refused to do anything. I continued to refer customers to them from my local business. Then when my RV was due for the next oil change I asked about the security of the lot and if it was safe. They called me back after speaking to the owner and said "We think you should go somewhere else if you do not think we are safe!" I kid you not! I said, "wait a minute, I give you my business for years, refer all kinds of additional business to you, you have my motorhome when my fuel tank is drained (no small tank) and you are telling me to go fly a kite?" Bob said yes he spoke to the owner and "We do not want or need your business!" Wow! I was nice as could be and Bob was RUDE!
