I have a chevy work van that I am about to sell but befpre doing so there are a few things that needed to be done. New tires, check engine light, tire monitor service message. First stop was to Big O Tires in Leitchfield Ky. I asked about the tire monitor service message on my dash and was told that a sensor was faulty. I asked how it could be verified and I was told that it had to be scanned. I asked how do I go about that and he said that he could do it. I asked how much it was and I was told that it was no charge, so I asked if he could scan it for me. I was told that it would probably be a more in depth problem because when the message comes on it means that one or more of the sensors was bad. I asked about resetting them and he again said that the only reason that the message comes on id that one or more of the sensors was bad. I asked how much it would be to replace a sensor and I was told $100.00 per sensor and that it could be one or more of them. He then said that if he started to check it that I needed to be prepared to make the repairs because he would have to pull the tires off from the rims to check the sensors. I told him that I would get back with him on it. The last words that he said was "Its a lot of money for a light!" . I thought its not just a light its also a message and all 4 of my tire pressures read -- instead of the actual pressure. So I went to Walmart, which is right down the street, and asked them if they could check it and they said yes. they pushed a button on the dash and them went to each wheel with some kind of tool to reset each sensor and guess what? it fixed it! I no longer have the tire light, nor the service tire monitor system message and all four wheels display the tire pressure. It took Walmart less than 5 minutes to fix it. I went ahead and let them do all of the other work since they had it in the bay. I couldnt be happier with Walmart and I am very disappointed with this Big O tire store. I have used Big O tires for years and this is the first store that I have been unhappy with.

It seems as the tire man can not read tire gauges. Had one tire repair and found it had over sixty pounds of air. Told the manager about and he seemed that it went over his head. Kinda let it go as a mistake. But later bought a new tire from them again checked the air and it had over sixty poundd in it. Again said something about it. He didnt seemed to care about it. So if you decide about having work done please double check everything they do at the store. You may end up with a blown motor with no oil in it or two much oil. So if you want to use them think twice or double check everything. Im not going back due to two mistakes that was simple whats is the next mistake that could be major.

Very poor I told them I wanted my oil changed and tires rotated and they changed the oil but didnt rotate the tires they never do what you ask them to do cause they want to sell you new tires they tried to tell me my tires were wore out and they not if you ask someone to do a job for you they should do it and to top it off they charged me for rotating them I also had grease on the Sterling wheel when I got back in my car so please be careful what you want done at big O I will never take nothing to them again

I have bought several sets of tires from them and had minor repairs done to my car there, headlights etc and they service is great, the people are great. It is so much nicer than having to go to Wal-mart.
