Probably the worst store ever...Maurice at the service center wanted literally nothing to do with me...I felt like an inconvenience in asking for tires. Was told they werent in stock when he went and looked at maybe 5 tires... Was told they didnt match to the online price, was told no other store had these tires in stock. Continued to answer the phone while I spoke with him and kept walking off.Was incredibly rude the entire time. I actually had to say something to him about his attitude. I wasnt rude or disrespectful and he immediately came across like this was too much for him...(when paying a grand for tires you would think you would be nicer since I know you get commission on them) Another female staff was amazing she went to the back found the tires that just "wasnt" there before" However they were took old..called another store and they got the tires and shipped them to me, and told him he could price match the online price. He still refused to do it said he had been working there for 5 years and knew what he was doing. Tires showed up he told me to come back at 230 and the tires would be put on so I came back was told it wouldnt even be done until 530-6PM I couldnt wait asked for an appt. was told it could be up to 3 hours to wait. Got my appt for the morning went in at 930, one of the tires was wrong, had to come back at 130..didnt even start working on my car until 2 PM took HOURS to change my tires... Seriously you guys have horrible customer service, Maurice doesnt seem like he has much desire to be working up there and is incredibly rude..I got my tires but thats it Im done and will never return... I bought the extended service and will go to the north lake store just in case something happens to not have to deal with him again.

Pep Boys was running their buy 3 get one free tire sale. The tires I got were fine, but the service I recieved was terrible. They told me that it would only be and hour and a half, but two hours later they tell me that they have broken the tire sensor in one of my tires. Then I had to wait another half an hour for them to temporarily fix the tire. Then on my way to work I got a flat tire, which I am sure was from the missing tire sensor. When I finally brought my car back to get the tire sensor fixed, I asked politely if there was anything they could do to maybe remove the service fee, but then one of the service men tried to charge me to take off and put back on the tire that they improperly installed! They even went as far as suggest that they can not take responsibility for the flat tire, that it might have even been my fault! When I complained that I could have gotten better service somewhere else they said oh well, at least you are getting a free tire. Umm why cant I get a free tire and good service? What is worse is that my tire pressure sensor continues to go off and Ihave still not received my rebate 1 month later. I dont think I will ever go to this Pep Boys again.

Went to Pep Boys to have brakes pads replace. Quoted a price for all four. The price seemed reasonable so I gave the go ahead. They only replaced the front and saying that I was only quoted for the front. Price was no longer reasonable. Labor for changing out the front brakes was $138. They never even checked the back brakes. I also requested a tire rotation and an oil change. I have yet to find out if they actually changed the oil and filter but I know they didnt rotate the tires as one of my back tires has a plug and the air cap is missing. When I called to tell the manager, Matt, that the tires were not rotated he came up with some crazy story about a new law passed in July that prohibits rotating the tires if the tread on the back is better than the front. Even if that were true, my tires are worn all equally (I had them checked). And I was still charged for the tire rotation. When I brought that to his attention, he claimed that I got a credit on the charge. This is not the case. There is no credit, just a charge of $9.99 for a tire rotation. The only thing I will be going back to Pep Boys for is to get a refund of $9.99.

This rating is for the towing service that they provide through another party. Needed a tow for my car on a Saturday. It took 5 hours to send a tow vehicle. Numerous calls to the pep boys towing number, the service provider and endless holds. Is this how you take care of your customers? Wish I could give zero stars for their repair service as well. I needed to replace my starter. They quoted a price of 214 USD. Told them , isnt there another starter available since this was expensive. They said there is nothing else available. Did some searching around . And guess what - found a starter for 135 USD. Gave them the part. After that they made do two trips back and forth. First it was the socket is wrongly positioned then it was bolt pattern is wrong. Cant you tell me all the problems in one trip????!!! Finally got the repair done at 133 USD lesser than their quote. My bad experience does not end here. I come home and find that whoever worked on the car had completely ripped out the lever trying to open the hood. Its completely broken!!!!!!! Advice; look for a local mechanic. Not these guys for sure. Never going back.

I was had to purchase a battery for my car and went in PepBoys store for an estimate they quoted me a price and told me there would be an installation fee of 14.99. The battery was 15 % more expensive than Walmart at 91.99, both batteries came with a three yr warranty. After the work was complete, they had added an additional charge of 8.53 for a shop fee, they had already charged when I had agreed to the 14.99 ,installation fee. When I tried to get them to remove this charge I was simply told thats the way it is, take it or leave it. I had know recourse, but to pick up my car, as I was 60 miles away from my home.I will be protesting the charge with my charge card provider. It no wonder Walmart is putting everyone out of business. I will never shop in Pep Boys again. I will be posting this story all of the internet and telling everyone about it.PepBoys is ripping off the consumer ,by adding these hidden charges , that are fabricated for ther own business gain. Fraud and misrepresentation. I stand by my complaint , Mimi Alvarez of Port St Lucie , Florida

Three moms and a truck-full of kids were headed on a road trip Friday night, when we noticed a flat tire. We called Pep Boys 10 minutes before closing to let them know we were on our way and would be there in 15 min and they said, "No worries, Blake will wait for you" When we got there Blake found what he thought was the problem, but wasnt too sure. He couldnt find any other nails, but did not believe the one he founf was the problem. He could have easily plugged the easy find and sent us on our 4 hour drive at 9 pm with 5 kids. BUT, Blake decided to do it the hard way - the RIGHT way - he took the entire tire off, dunked it to find any more leaks and repaired it. He also checked all the other tires. He stayed almost an hour past closing on a Friday night to help a bunch of moms and the kids hightail it to Weeki Wachee :) He was gracious and kind but most of all caring for not putting us on the highway with a fix he was not 100% sure of. THANK YOU BLAKE! Pep Boys and Nick, you have a great employee in Blake - hes a keeper!!!
