I went in for a voucher for a free oil change. The staff member told me my car is "special", that it requires a different kind of oil, and that it will only cost me $17. I told him I was confused, as my car is a Chevy Malibu, there isnt really anything special about it. I just wanted a standard oil change. He was adamant about me paying. He said that since I had to pay, he would rotate my tires for free and check the air in them. He then did a "free inspection" and suggested I change my break pads, flush my break line, and flush my radiator, and replace my wipers. My wipers were working fine. My break line could use a flush. However, most cars never truly need their radiator flush. I did some research. Its just a gimmick, an upsell shops use to get you to spend more money. With most cars, the radiator fluid lasts as long as the car itself. Only in extreme, rare cases, is a radiator flush required. My car is a 2011 with less than 100,000 miles on it. How could it require a radiator flush? He said that I need to take care of the breakline and breakpads immediately. However, my breaks work completely fine. As I left Firestone, I checked the tire pressures with the built in digital gauge on the dashboard. All of them were unbalanced and required more air. They may have rotated them but its obvious they did a poor job putting air in them. Each tire was at least 5 PSI off from the other on each axel. I will never go to this place again. Though the guy was polite, he was obviously trying to rip me off. Be prepared if you have a coupon or voucher for a "free" anything, because chances are, your car will be "special" too.

I am so upset, went there for a simply oil change on Friday and ended up with a bad engine. Besides my $60 oil change they advised me one of my back tires had a screw that did not allow the tire to be repaired it needed to be replaced. So I ended up purchasing a new tire for $80. was taking a trip and wanted to make sure I could drive safely so I didnt questioned it, Now I wish I would have. When they returned my car the battery was dead they had to give me a boost to turn it on.. After I left my tire signal and engine light come on and so I had to bring the car back the next day, tires were low and unbalance and told me the engine light was due to that battery issue prior. On Monday on my way back from my two hour trip my engine light comes on advising me the engine was over heating. Its a 2011 lancer straight from the dealers I should not be having engine issues. I took the car back on Tuesday and one of the employees tells me for them to diagnose the car I would have to pay $60. I feel this place is what most people warn you about, the types of mechanic that are just trying to get money out of you. I dont trust them and will not take my car back to them. It is sad I work in the hospital across the street and it is very convenient to drop my car of to them and I will definitely speak to other staff members and let them know not to take there car there.

Went in to protect my friend from these crooks. He had taken his car in for a simple flush of a hose and get his brakes doubled checked after a new caliper and brake pads were put on two days earlier. They told him it was the wrong part, when I said it wasnt he changed his answer to it being "on" wrong. My friend had asked about a a leak that he had been quoted on in reference to the master cylinder only to have the subject changed and told it was a fair price ($700 for master cylinder and brake job he didnt need). He then proceeded to tell me that i needed to be quiet when I brought up the price and the fact that the part numbers were identical he proceed to change it to shutting my mouth. After all was said and done he frantically tried to tell me that had 5 Google stars and had perfect review. I checked of course on my phone outside and the review was written by himself. Thinks very highly of himself I might add. The man fixing the lights, although he need not butt in, had proceeded to tell me he always took his car to Tire Kingdom, which I found hilarious since we were at Firestone and that is who he was defending....liars dont always think before they speak. Moral of the story, dont tell a younger customer with full mobile access to the wonderful world of interwebs, that you have 5 stars on Google review....STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!!!

I had a very unpleasant experience with this shop; they tried to scam me. Too bad Yelp doesnt allow a zero star rating. I had a vehicle inspection done and was told my front & back struts are leaking and should be replaced. I had purchased these struts just several months ago at Sears, and went to Sears to fix (since its under Sears warranty). Sears checked and they showed me there were no leaks whatsoever. I returned to Firestone, told them what I saw at Sears and asked them to put the vehicle on the lift to show me the leak, Initially the admin person at the front desk said the manager will not allow the mechanic to move my the car into the garage because its raining and there could be lightning. I said Id wait. When the rain subsided they said the leak might not show because of the rain. I asked that they check anyway. With the car on the lift, our conversation went like this: Mechanic: Theres the leak. Me: Where? I dont see any leak. Mechanic: I must have been confused because we do so many cars. Im sorry. Admin person: Yes, there is a leak, I saw it. But Im so sorry, it was really a small leak Me: Well where is it? I dont see even a small leak... I then asked the manager to explain this behavior and he said: we didnt say you "need" new struts, we only "recommended" you get new struts.

If you like getting taken for your cash give them a try. I have been a long-standing part time customer since 1998 this is the second time I feel like theyve tried to rip me off. I pulled in to take advantage of my lifetime alignment and getting oil change and to have a tire patched first thing a Salesman says is we cant patch your tire just as he pushes his quote of a thousand dollars for four brand new tires across the counter to me. I told him to keep the quote change the oil and put it back into alignment when I went back to pick up my truck they told me my line without to tell and the reason my toe is out with because I had a nail in my tire part of that Ive driven over 2,000 miles with no problems as he tried to sell me a thousand dollars worth of tires again. prior to that my truck was having trouble with the brake lights I took the Firestone they told me a hundred twenty dollars to diagnose the electrical problem they diagnosed it said I needed an $800 part. I said that didnt seem right to me, take it to another mechanic shop to hook it up to a diagnostic he reset the computer and fixed the problem for free, took less than five minutes. I will never go back to Firestone again even with a lifetime alignment on my truck. and anyone else who read this and does would be foolish!!
