Ive been going to this place for a year . Ive loved it .. up to this point . My normal stylist is Chris but I went in on Friday and Chris was not working . So I decided to go with James . Initially on sitting down in someone chair you talk .. Im pretty sure It has been this way forever . I chose to go with James .. BAD IDEA . In the first few minutes of talking .. we realized that we had a mutual person we know . He straight up told me .. Dont even say his name .. I dont like him . . I feel now he took his personal vendetta out on my neck and head . I realized this too late .. of course after i get home ..and take a closer look .When I sat in his chair .. I told him .. im growing my hair out so dont touch the top . Im so glad I did this .. or i would have a bigger mess then this . I only let him cut the sides and back . . When he was cutting my hair and got around to the back .. he was scratching the hell out of me with the edgers felt like he was digging them in .. and asks me ... DOES IT HURT .. the only reason that he stopped is because .. one of the STAFF workers next to him .. said .. HES SQUINTING ~ and then he stopped . . When he asked How do you want you hair line ROUND or SQUARE .. i said .. whatever you think looks better ... its not square or round just crooked .. i told him the sides were too puff in the front so .. he trimmed one side .. and asks me .. OH .. do you want me to do the other side .. ?? ok?? Normally every time like clock work .. when IM getting my hair done by any other stylist throughout my whole life .. when ive gotten a cut .. they go around my head with a mirror .. and show me there work .. James didnt do this .. he distracted me by putting GEL in my hair .. the only reason the top of my hair looked good is because he didnt touch it and it had gel in it .. when i got home and looked at my hair .. he left some parts balder than others .. the hair line is all JAGGED and all not blended at all .. you can clearly see a hair line on one side .. and not one at all on the other side of my head . WHEN i called the manager .. she did say .. I could come in and they would fix it .. When i tried to tell her .. about the incident .. her take on it .. was .. we will fix it .. and I DONT REALLY WANT TO HEAR ABOUT THIS .. So after today i will never be back .. but if you do go here use CHRIS hes amazing .. Dont use JAMES hes shady .. Management will get your hair fixed or NOT . but dont expect them to listen to u if you have a bigger issue .. they dont have time for that . So on that note .. Find some otherplace .. my Neck is still burning and its almost 1:30 the next day !

DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE!!!!!!! NEGATIVE 5 STARS!!!!!!! NOT KID FRIENDLY!!!!!! I dont know the womans name that we delt with, but I wish I did so I could call her out directly. We brought our daughter in for a haircut, the lady does the shaved part of the haircut, I ask my daughter about a mark from a bump she had on her head. The woman cutting her hair automatically says it looks like ring worm and scared my daughter by the way she explained it, and then says she knows all about it, because she has 5 kids, and promptly informs us that its contagious, and if it were ringworm she could not longer continue with the haircut, also saying that the ringworm isnt round yet so its fine. Its nothing of the sort, its a healing scratch from a crack on the head she had while playing. She proceeds with the haircut, and as the lady is taking her 1st couple of snips with scissors, sees a bit of fuzz on my daughters hair and immediately decides that its lice. She then without even looking again to be sure says that she cant, and wont finish the haircut. She said this , not in a low voice, but a volume that EVERYONE in the place could hear over conversation, and in a shameful tone denoting that we were disgusting people, and it felt that was the message. From the beginning it seemed like she didnt want to do the haircut, I dont know why. My daughter didnt understand why all of a sudden we were asked to leave , and was upset by it. We then went home and my wife and I both took a very close look for lice and found NOTHING! We then went to another salon and explained the situation the stylist there, and that stylist stepped out to look at my little girls hair closely and FOUND NOTHING AT ALL! She then gave my daughter the haircut she was asking for and was excited to get. It looks great now! That person at Hot Heads couldve just said she was busy or something, if she didnt want to do the haircut, or actually looked a little closer before belittling us, and hurting my daughters feelings for no reason. I will never go to any of their locations for any reason ever again! There is no excuse for what happened at Hot Heads today. I will tell everyone I know what happened, and I will tell anyone who will listen what happened, and never to step foot into ANY of their salons. I wish I could give a negative 5 stars and just 1.... Once again, I will tell everyone I know not to go to hot heads!

I did not have a google account so my friend used hers to write this review to let EVERYONE know that this place is horrible. Their staff is beyond rude and very uneducated about doing hair, and their supposed to be certified HAHA! Unfornately i had to put a star but this place deserves no stars I had gone there Saturday for a Perm.I had Lisa do my hair and she was so rude because she had other appointments and my perm would take about 3 hours. As shes doing my hair shes throwing her hands at my head in anger. I leave the salon there is no curl to my hair i go back the next day and the hairstylist (if you could even call her that because she is horrible at her job) Lisa tells me that i need to cut my hair and she said i should have done it when getting the perm but she didnt want to say anything. HELLO your SUPPOSED to be a PROFESSIONAL. So i let her cut my hair the next day and she then tells me to get oil for the frizz and get the "goodys" curling rods. Oil and perm will fry my hair so LISA is "very educated" on perms. And to go buy curling rods after spending 150$ on a perm you lost your damn mind. I have been calling all weekend and and since monday to speak to the owner because they do not want to give me my money back but a gift card to get the same treatment done on my hair.. as if i trust HOTHEADZ or Lisa to do my hair. YEAH OKAY. I called the NEW port richey location this morning and was told that the owner would be in at 10am.. i called at 10:20AM and now the owner will not be in til 12pm. I wasnt offered a receipt and i never signed anything. IF I DO NOT HEAR FROM THE OWNER TODAY I WILL BE CALLING THE BBB and i will show up at your location and let all your lovely clientele know how certified your employees are and how you all are a bunch of crooks who dontt want to refund a customer their money back but to give me a gift card to return to this horrible business. YOUR STORE KNOWS WHO I AM. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!
