I came back from a trip to Europe and I drove over to be connected again. When I came home nothing worked, so I had to go again. Now the employee told me they had changed their system and my private owned modem/ router combination would not work any more. So I went and bought a new combination $ 127,00. But instead of everything fast it was slow as hell, couldnt send any mails, and Netflix didnt work. Next morning on-line with Netflix first. It took us first 3 hours on-line chat we lost our connection through bad Internet and than again 4 hours, this was their conclusion. Netflix David My research team detected that there are fluctuations on your internet, what they detected is that, your internet provider appears to be changing the region of your internet , that is why the Netflix app is unable to connect. With that information i went again back to the office, he told me this was an issue out of his reach so I had to call Atlantic broadband headquarters for this. Drove back home and called and got finally connected with someone from the technical dep after 1 hour and 12 minutes waiting on the phone. First thing she told me they could send a technician out in about 9 days, but they would charge me $ 40,00 for that. remember my Internet was just working perfect when I left the country. I got so upset told her that i didnt need their service anymore and drove to the next ATT store trying to get their service, but guess what, they told me straight forward that Atlantic Broadband was the only provider on the beach. (That should be forbidden) Now we drove back to the office again and the service guys their told us he could schedule it for the next day between 2:30 and 4:30 pm. In the meantime we realized that that was again a lost day, but yep we live in 2015 and where are you without Internet. Now we agreed and where at home buy those hours the next day, after waiting two hours of course nobody showed up so we drove again to their office, and guess what while one of us drove there as soon as he steps into the door of the office a phone-call went and last minute a technician from another district nearby Bal Harbor knocked on my door. He was sure he could solve my problems ant told me several times he would, did some mickey mous jobs in the house and his conclusion was, you speed it to low you need a better plan, and he left. So if i understand well Atlantic BB sells plans with low speed and you can send mails and opening up a page takes about 5 minutes, but again I did what i was told to and called the number he gave me, but have to admit after so many days I was stressed and frustrated. I went to the bathroom and cried like a little kid, where could I go who would help me, this is supposed to be my vacation not spending 4 days on a row just to get a decent Internet connection. But what can you do, I called in again and after yes another 1 hour and 20 minutes I could speak to someone. But guess what he did put me on hold again for 15 minutes, and than that person did the same again, it was all not their department. Finally I got a nice guy on the phone he did everything he could and even checked stuff that we had checked already with everyone so far, but better be sure. Now finally he told me there is nothing I can do the only thin I also would advise is to raise your plan to a higher speed, so he reconnected me with the next person. Ans yes they did sell me that more expensive plan. We ended our conversation and where very hopeful that this was the end of the problems, but guess what no way. Still no capable of sending e-mails opening pages would take at least 5 minutes, and Netflix did not work either. So we called in again, they did all the checks again ant told us again that they new there was a problem, if we didnt know it already, they would schedule another technician again for next week, and I we would like it quicker there would be a chance if we would drive over to their office again. Thats what we did sharp 8:30 am we walked through their door, and we are now scheduled for this afternoon.

This is crazy! I cant believe they are going to increase prices again and more crazy fees. I already noticed an increase on my atlantic broadband bill this month again "It like two times a year now for this bad over price service" Americans that have cable, will be making a serious decision in deciding if the rising cost of cable television is worth paying & cost increase of sports channels that they dont watch. I am Tired of subsidizing the high-cost viewing of sports on cable with this force sports surcharge $7.27 scam + tax / $30 in fees When the things I watch (news, documentaries, science, and related) are the low-cost items. It would offer cable subscribers the option of opting out of sports. I want a opt out of sports - and save money! Satellite/cable TV has already passed my breaking point dollar wise and all Im doing is waiting for my contract to end to say good-bye. I am getting a HD antenna to get the local HD stations.Cable TV is already one of the worst values in modern entertainment. They should think very carefully about what a change in price will do to their customer base If you are paying for limited service aka "local channels only" that cost around $40 with taxes. Do your self a favor & buy or make a HD anteena to get the same channels + more for free. You will get around 74 HD channels with the HD anteena without the monthly bill with high fees from Atlantic broadband. this part of florida has good over the air hd signals and if you still arent sure about your current TVs digital capabilities, go to the manufacturers Web site.I have a new fee for atlantic broadband! I just cancel my service and will be saving 2g a year.No more bad over price service with crazy fees "$30 just in fees". more fees are coming to you.the FCC was considering allowing cable companies to encrypt basic-tier cable channels, which means subscribers would no longer be able tune in these channels using the Clear-QAM tuner in an HDTV or other A/V device. Instead, you would need to use a set-top for each tv "more fees on your cable bill" What next paying higher taxes to subsidizing for a professional sport team owned by billionaire hedge-fund investor so they can build arena/stadium with empty seats? Or colleges increasing spending on sports faster than on academics and the students paying the price? Atlantic broadband is MONOPOLY of Aventura, Bal Harbour Islands, Golden Beach, Miami Beach, North Bay Village, Pinecrest, South Miami, Sunny Isles Beach and Surfside FL.

OKAY guys. I have a solution for how to reach customer service: SALES department is the only one that answers the phone. BUT --- inside info, it actually goes to an OPERATOR who only has 60 seconds to determine if it is an actual SALES call (upgrade/new service) before dumping you into the bottomless pit of customer "care" (billing/tech support) SO: >> STEP 1... press number for sales department >> STEP 2... tell that operator that you have multiple issues and waited on hold forever and a day and that you got hung up on (hence the reason I know all of this and made friends with aforementioned operator) >> STEP 3... request that they have customer service CALL YOU back and put it as an EMERGENCY order which is the only way they can guarantee a call back within 30 minutes I literally have done this a total of four times now and I got called back in about 20 seconds each time. Yeehaw! At least the method is tried and true. And I scored a $20 credit for such a horrid inconvenience. Sad you have to do this, just trying to help the frustrated.. I got stuck with this company because HOA has contract with them for some horrifying reason... (0)_ (0) Also do NOT bother ordering DVR. It is completely dysfunctional and Ill leave it at that. I cannot believe were having to Fred Flintstone our smart TV asses back in time with the worthless equipment this company offers. STAY as FAR AWAY from this shell of a service as humanly possible.
