if I could give negative stars, I would. I am not sure how this company is still in business. Do all of your customers a favor, and get out of the area. Sell off your network (if you can call it that) to one of the major companies around here, and close your doors. Where to even start. You pay for a speed that you will hardly ever attain. I seriously feel like I am going backwards 15 years for available services. The cost, for the bandwidth you get, is ridiculous. I spend more time making phone calls to attempt to get tech support to actually recognize that they are having an issue, than issues being resolved. If they tell me again to unplug my modem, and plug in my router (which I have already done, more times than I should ever have to in a day), I will explode. They have more outages and loss of service, than ANY internet/cable company I have ever been a customer of. I work from home, and have been in the IT industry since 1998. There are days, that dial up would be faster and better connected. Seriously, I am not kidding on this statement. They have little or no redundancy on their network, and if you are trying to do anything during any time after 3pm, the network is so throttled and choked, your speed will drop down to less than a 1/4 of what it should be. This is 2016, but this company is easily 10+ years behind a normal ISP. If I could get ANYTHING else with broadband here, from any other company without having to pay for a leased line, I would do it. With the amount of downtime and slowness I have, looking at other companies with guaranteed up times, and guaranteed speeds, is becoming a very real possibility, Also, due to FCC changes in regards to Broadband companies, and being able to say that you have a "broadband" service, your MINIMUM speed for services available are 24/2, not Maximum available.,

Not sure where these people who are having all the issues with Piedmont live because we havent had any in the year we have lived here. We moved from Columbia SC where we had Big City Uverse Internet & TV (which we loved) & it wasnt available to transfer here. So we went with the local company Piedmont & it has been fine! We have the medium speed & use their provided modem & router & have no issues. My husband & I are both on our laptops, tablets & phones constantly plus my wireless printer & no problem. My neighbor has their Internet also & she doesnt have issues either. She has lived here 8 years. When we first moved here they made a special trip out (no appointments available the day I wanted) to install initially so I could surprise my husband with having service set up. Later, I was having issues getting my wireless printer to work & I somehow reset the router so we couldnt log on. The guys came right out, figured out what had happened, fixed router & helped with my printer. We chose to go with standard cable service; no dvr/box & the only thing I will say negatively about that is the somewhat limited channel selection for basic. Overall, considering we live way, WAY out in the country & generally have no issues whatsoever we are great with Piedmont! SO thankful we didnt have to go with satellite garbage or Time Warner who we despise to the point we gave up TV altogether for 5 years rather than use them! So give Piedmont a try before you listen to the grumblers out there. There is no contract to sign so if you dont like it, you can switch but I doubt you have an issue.

Honestly i wish there was a negative star review because this company doesnt even deserve a 1 star ! We have had mutiple problems with this company , our internet went out for a week on top of this we have been paying for 8mbs and was getting 2mbs. The technicians came out didnt even call and left a tag on the door my fiance called the company and they sent him back out a hour later. They have been out twice to fix the problem and they didnt know how to do their job and check for the issue! They got it working right with the help of my fiance who works for another internet provider which is not available in our area (Because trust me if it was we wouldnt be giving our money to these greedy ,useless people) . After they got it fixed we got our next bill which included a disconnect fee , let me remind you they didnt disconnect our service they came out to fix a problem . We call them about the disconnect fee they said they would credit our bill . The next bill came no credit and they disconnected our internet before the bill was even due !! Also charged another disconnect fee!! It took a hour to get a manager and he wasent even concerned or worries about how badly a customer had been treated , just gave us the run around ! This company will not last long with the way they treat their customer! Windstream here we come . I wouldnt give this internet to my dog ! !

We have had cable and Internet through Piedmont for many years now. The prices and speed are good for this area. Both services rarely go out and if they do its usually due to an area wide outage or a storm. Those have been pretty few and far between fortunately. The times we have had to call to have a tech sent out, the company has always been polite and prompt. Usually they arrive within an hour, sometimes less, and the gentlemen doing the work are always professional and courteous. Anytime we have had a hardware issue they have replaced it immediately. I dont think you could ask for anymore from a small town company. They really are great and are quick to get any issues you may have solved.

Good service, great people, I recently relocated back to the area and I must say, I am very impressed with the speed/latency with the service (this coming from someone who has worked for 2 ISPs). I had an issue with old wiring and they were very quick and helpful in getting it resolved. The techs that came out were very friendly and knew what they were doing. I had "wideband" with my previous provider and the only thing that went up was the price every year. Very happy customer here. Thanks for providing honest service to our area at a reasonable price.

I would like to know what you have to do to have all your cable channels for one week without them going out. Everytime you call same answer we are working on it. What do you have to work on. You dont mind taking my check every month maybe I need to hold it for a while and see how you like it. I wouldnt even give you one star this company has some serious problems. Time warner here we come.

This company SUCKS!!! At least once a week our cable or internet goes out. It takes forever for them to fix it but they dont mind increasing the price. If you cable goes out on the weekend good luck trying to get in touch with someone the phone doesnt even ring to report a problem. Do yourself a favor and DONT waste you time or money with these FOOLS!!!!
