Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE service! The absolute WORST! All I wanted was color & a trim. Pretty simple right? Wrong! First, I told the owner what I wanted, she told me to text a picture to the colorist, I texted her the picture with a very clear description of what I wanted, very simple just dark to light brown ombre. I get to the shop which was empty & STILL had to wait an hr & 13 mins to even get in a chair. The girl started my hair & then stopped midway through detangling my hair to do another customers hair. Mean while the owner was on the phone with a friend talking about everything under the sun from peoples man problems to peoples children. The man in her chair had been there since 10 am (when I left at 9:30 pm he was still nowhere near done)it was so bad that the colorist kept suggesting that maybe she should get off the phone. Anyway, she got back to my hair then stopped AGAIN to cut a womans hair (keep in mind that she hasnt cut or started coloring my hair yet). Fast forward to the shampooing, they dont use professional products, she was using "mane & tail" a pet shampoo that CAN BE used on people then tried to sell me the conditioner that comes in the dye kit for $14! After she cut my hair, she says to me "the back of your hair is WAAAY longer than the front.".... Thats funny, it wasnt like that when I came in the shop but by this point I had be in the shop for nearly 5 long, disappointing, miserable hrs & didnt want her touching my hair anymore so I just decided to fix it myself when I got home. She finally turns me to the mirror to see the end result & instead of the light to dark brown ombre I asked for I got gold tips. It looked as if my hair was gold & I just let it grow out. It did not look like I paid someone to to that to my hair. I was so fed up I couldnt even speak anymore. I get to the register & the price she tells me is $20 more than she quoted me over the phone. When I questioned her about it she said it was $10 more for the trim & another $10 for detangling. I was so upset that I just left but when I got home, my mom was so upset about my hair that she called them insisting that they fix it. The owner ducked & dodged us for 3 days before she finally got on the phone & ARGUED with my mom, told her it was my fault because I didnt specify what I wanted & my hair was nappy & matted (I cowash & detangle my hair daily by the way). I ended up having to even out my own hair & dye it myself. You couldnt pay me to go back to this shop & if I didnt have a life Id stand outside of the shop everyday & warn their potential victims. THATS how strongly I feel about this shop. Get on YouTube & learn how to do your own hair before you go to this shop!

Everyone was super sweet however the lack of customer service really does no justice for the wonderful attitude that the staff has. when I got there I originally booked a bridal consultation with the owner and I was under the impression that my hair would get done that day unfortunately that was not the case and I completely misunderstood what the receptionist meant when we initially booked the appointment. The owner was super sweet and offered to allow me to get my hair done despite her busy schedule, I was really grateful and looking forward to it especially because I had a photo shoot that same weekend. So after getting my hair washed and blow dried by the receptionist, the owner/ lead stylist was going to flat iron my hair and we would talk more about what I was looking for in my bridal hair. She was just finishing up with a client and I waited for about 10 minutes then after that she asked me to sit in her chair and wait for her but she never came back. She was actually speaking with another client and I had already expressed that I was pressed for time and that did not seem to be any of her concern. What really got me was at the end when the receptionist went to go and tell her that I was getting ready to leave she one actually allowed me to leave without apologizing or asking why or seeing anything else that she could do, she literally allowed me to leave and said goodbye and not only that she did not offer any sort of a discount for allowing me to walk out of her salon with my hair undone. Now I am super inconvenienced because my hair is completely messed up its hard as HELL with Lord knows what kind of product in it and who knows I think I mightve even gotten heat damage. So my advice to anyone who wants to go to this salon make sure you have time, patience, and use to poor customer service, because if you are looking for top of the line specialty trying to feel your best honey this is not the place. It breaks my heart because I love black businesses and love when black people are trying to do it big. But we have got to get our stuff together because the competition out there is fears and on point and if you want to compete and you want to be Kim Kimball you have to be fears and on point. I wish I had better things to say about the salon and all the wonderful people that were there but unfortunately I do not. It saddens me but this is the ugly truth. Hope it helps!!

I want to save anyone who is reading this the trouble of wasting your time and money on this place. I have been there twice and shame on me for the second time I went because I told myself I would never go back. This place is waaayyy over priced and neither time did I walk out pleased with my look. I really dont mind spending money on quality work, however I was charged $50 dollars for a wash and about 10 flat twists in my hair. I walked out of there looking like snoop dog. The stylist didnt even attempt to place the twists in a suitable way that looked decent to go out in public with. When I took the twists out, my hair was saturated with oil but didnt feel moisturized. $50 dollars and a few days later I ended up with oily hair, dry ends, and twists that didnt even produce curls once they were taken out. To put the price point in perspective when I used to get my hair permed, trimmed, and/or deep conditioned I paid between $60-$70. Please understand those price points come from more than 1 salon and in more than one state. So for about $10- $15 dollars more I could have gotten a whole chemical process done with a style. From the couple times I have gone, I notice the clientele is mostly kids getting their hair braided and the same older woman who know the owner. There seems to be no real variety of repeat customers. As a pervious person stated on one of there review, back to the drawing bored!
