Im from out of town and was recommended by a family member. I went to have a blow out and flat iron. I had previously shampooed, blow dried and sectioned off my hair in 4 the night before. I added no product to my hair as I didnt want to cause adverse affects to whatever products used by the stylist. Pretty much a blank canvas to work with without having to rinse etc. The salon is very nice and has a professional staff, which made me to further believe I was in an environment that knew their stuff. While waiting I noticed the price board listed prices for junior stylist and master stylist. Impressive I thought. The stylist I got was a master stylist. Again, that made me comfortable in the service I was about to receive. My style of choice is always a blow out, so needless to say Ive had countless blow outs before. This one was different. Very, very different. Stylist made mention that my hair was "so dry" which I thought was odd because Im now sitting in your chair under your care, do whats needed that it not be dry, right? Some product was very stingy applied to sections of my hair, not thoroughly through - then the devastating flat ironing began. My hair was literally fried, roasted and singed row by row by row. Smoke and the smell of burnt hair engulfed our section the entire time. A completely different experience Ive ever had. Im not sure if the flat iron used was top quality creamic or not but I do know that the heat was most certainly too high. Half way through I just gave up on my hair because I knew it was too late to say anything. At the end of it, my hair was fried so badly it was limp with absolutley no body/volume umph, nothing. Total disappointment. I have never in my life had a blow out that resulted as such. Not only was my hair literally fried, today marks 3 days since and the strong burnt smell of hair is just now subsiding. I was tempted to shampoo the same night I got home but couldnt bare totally wasting $45.00. Today is day 3 and Im now getting my hair braided for a sew-in and the stylist is shocked at how my hair is literally falling out from being burned so badly. The most disappointing thing about this is, Ive been working on healthier strands, which is why Ive been getting blowouts for quite sometime. Only to come on vacation to have it all ruined and having to start all over again. I cant speak for other work done. Maybe they are really good at other things. But their blow outs will ruin your hair. No matter the hair type/texture, if youre a master stylist, youre a master stylist. Im sorry I have to give such a bad review but my disappointment in my hair and my money spent is far more important. I gave one star because the salon is nice and also because I couldnt post the review without giving a star.

Please dont waste your time and money on these thieves. Like most Ive read the reviews and wanted to experience the proper hair care and great service that others have described. Boy was I completely wrong!! The salon owner Sandy did my hair . Sandy barely washed my hair it wasnt cleansed properly. She also installed my full lace wig incorrectly. My wig was rolled up on both sides of my temples , were as its a full lace shouldve laid completely flat, with none of my natural hair out. Still that wasnt the worst of it- Sandy just slapped some GOTS TO BE gel in the front of my hair and with out drying it applied my wig and wouldnt allow me to check her work. Sandy was very rude and unprofessional. She didnt want to fix the errors made to my hair, she did the bare minimum. Told me to just to wear my hair down after she finished. When in fact prior to her starting my hair we discussed the look I was going for and she agreed. Now that she had damaged my wig she wanted me to wear it down. She booted me out of her chair with a glob of white wet hair gel in the front of my hair and told me to wait an hour and everything will be fine. Not the case at all the hair gel dried up and was white. Wearing a wig is to be undetectable. I was better off watching a YouTube video and doing it myself. However, I had to pay someone else to actually do my hair properly. Its a shame I had really high hopes for this salon.

I am an avid traveler for work. After experiencing a horrible encounter with a stylist when i first came into town i was Blessed, Happy and Over joyed to find Sandy at Shallamars Hair Solutions!!! From the beginning she was very communicative, direct, upfront with her services and prices along with keeping a Very clean shop. From my 1st appointment i was Pleased, Relaxed and Sure i had found the Right Stylist for me. Continually Sandy delivers excellent service, spaces her appointments where i am not waiting forever to be serviced, accommodating to my special request, flexible with my hectic work schedule. To top it off Sandy is a People person. Her sweet, pleasant, professional and direct character will leave you feeling that you have received good and honest service which is many times hard to find in a stylist. I have to add if you have Not made an appointment then dont second guess it because you are Surely to be Happy that you chose Sandy at Shallamars Hair Solutions as your Premiere stylist and Salon

I went here for the very first time today and Im pleased to say that my experience was top rated. The stylist who turned my fuzzy wild fro into a beautiful head of siilky flowing goodness without a relaxer or any chemicals was Matanya. You cannot go wrong with her, she really outdid herself & I will be going back to her again. There was also a gentleman there who I thought was the receptionist till I observed him doing a Dominican blow out on another ladies hair. They are all very talented here. If you dont get Matanya ask for him, I cant speak for the others but Im sure that they are all just as good. If you dont like going to just anyone and you like to go by word of mouth, take my word for what its worth. This is the place to go to if you want phenomenal looking hair. You will not be disappointed. They also do everything. Natural hairstyles, sew ins, colors, keratin treatments, you name it, they do it. The place is also very clean & comfortable. Try them.

Shallamars Hair Solutions Amazing Simply put and Professional. Where do I begin, is there anyone that cannot relate to a bad hair day. I was having a lot of those until I heard about Shallamars, all the way across town and in a different county. Now, all I am only thinking about what look I feel like having this week or to hold on to for the next two weeks, and two weeks, only because I love those messages from the shampoos...not having the stress of what to do today with your hair in the morning for work can be quite a relief. Its a wonderful thing knowing that if you have an emergence you have someone with a team that is well able and competent to handle the job or take care of you. Shallamars got it handled.
