You know how Tuffy gives Warranties for all their work? As long as it happens to not break, the warranty works great! I was told that having my ignition cylinder would be a "Simple Job" last december, cost about $500, ready in a few days... After two weeks with my car, I was just happy to have it back. Five months later, when the ignition cylinder broke again, they told me to bring it back, and spent the next two weeks trying to prove it wasnt their fault that my car wouldnt start... Three weeks later, I was happy to have my car back with a new ignition cylinder, and swore Id never go back to this or any other Tuffy again... Three months later, last month, the key wouldnt work again. I, again, was told it would be under warranty again if it was the cylinder, but that if it wasnt I would have to pay for the tow and any diagnostic and repair fees. They had it for a week before calling and explaining, it wasnt their fault that it keeps breaking. It is the Dealerships fault for sending them bad parts. And in the process, the engine light is now on saying the wiring from the cylinder is broken, but Im going to have to get it all fixed elsewhere, No refund... They were not even going to pay to tow it to someone competent enough to fix what they broke... And THEN corporate Tuffy said they cant do anything about it because it is the shop is privately owned, and it is their prerogative to ignore the warranty. But I guess corporate wanted them to give it one more go, and I finally got my car back working, with a threat that they wouldnt fix it again. The reality? They are completely incompetent and theyve been jimmy rigging my car each time with no clue how to fix it... So, if you have a problem with your car that is more complicated than an oil change, only take it to Tuffy if you want to pay them and then pay someone else to fix what they break. In fact, dont go to any Tuffy under the illusion that the corporate office cares at all about customer service. Because their assurance that they can fix something is about as useless as their warranty. Gosh, what a mess...

Horrible customer service. I gave the manager (I believe that his name is Joe) two opportunities to keep my business and he failed on both. The first failure happened when I arrived at 6:30pm one night after work for an oil change. The posted closing time for this Tuffy is 7pm. I was immediately turned away by Joe. The conversation went something like this: Me: Id like to get an oil change. Joe: Youll have to come back another day. Were closed. Me: Isnt your posted close time 7pm? Joe: Yes it is, but an oil change will take more than 30 minutes. Me: Ok [irritated and leaving]. The next day I called the corporate office to complain. My complaint was filed and Joe called me two days later to apologize and said, "Bring your car back and Ill take care of you." I brought my car back, and found out that Joes idea of "taking care" of me was to just schedule me for an oil change. No discount. No coupons. So I begrudgingly had the oil changed in my car. Now for the second failure. Two weeks later, as I pulled out of my driveway, I noticed I had a flat tire. So I called AAA, they told me I had a leak, filled my tire, and I reluctantly drove to Tuffy for either a patch or new tire. Of course, my pal Joe was at the counter. I described my situation and emphasized that I would only get a patch if Joe was sure Id be ok. Me: Id prefer a tire, but if you are absolutely sure that a patch will hold up, then Ill take a patch. Joe: Ok. Let me check. (3 minutes later) Joe: Youll be fine with a patch. Me: Ill take the patch. I made a huge mistake. I started my drive to work (in Lake Mary), and luckily got past the Lake Jessup Bridge before I started hearing the horrible sound of a flat tire. As youd expect, I had a wonderful day that day. Shame on me for being fooled twice. I will never go back to that Tuffy and its horrible customer service. Instead Tire Kingdom off Narcoossee now gets all of my business (including a recent installation of new brakes on my car). They have excellent customer service.

I have been driving for many years, and this store has by far, the worst service. I just switched my auto insurance and had to go to Tuffy for an inspection to keep the insurance company happy. To save a little time, I also needed an oil change on the car and figured I would knock out two birds with one stone. I went there with a scheduled appointment, none the less. They got my car in the shop pretty quick and I had all of the paper work taken care of. An hour and a half later, the manager came up to me and told me "I am sorry." He told me that they had to charge me three times the price that I had already agreed to. It took them an hour and a half just to tell me that my oil was 0W-20. I proceeded to wait for another half hour before the car was finished. I could have driven 5 minutes down the road and had my oil change done in 10 minutes. During my wait, five other customers came in doing the car inspection as well, and were out within 5-10 minutes. They are good when it comes to inspection for insurance companies. From my experience and apparently others that have reviewed this place, they are not good for other services. By the way, I dont mind paying for the higher priced oil for my car, but an hour and a half to tell me, "Oops, we screwed up!"

Thank you to Tony and the guys at Tuffy Tire and Service center. I went there today to get my tire replaced as I had a screw in the tire. I had excellent service there. They were all very friendly, very efficient, and were honest. As soon as I walked in someone greeted me with a smile, listened to my concern, talked to me about what was involved, and took care of my car. Their waiting room is very comfortable and clean with nice tropical wicker furniture and a flat screen TV to watch. The mechanic that was in charge of my car brought me outside for me to show him my concern and then he took time to teach me a little about the issue and what I could see in the future. He was very friendly and I was thankful for him taking time to teach me about my car. I went back inside and within no time, the gentleman told me my car was ready and I was very thankful for the cost efficient price that it took to complete the job. With the experience I had today, I feel like I can trust these guys to take care of my car in the future with good work, an honest opinion, and a cost efficient quote to complete the job. Thank you again to Tony and gentleman who worked on my car for a great experience at Tuffy Tire and Service! : )

I dont think there is a person that looks forward to paying for their car being fixed. As a relative newcomer to Orlando, I have had difficulty finding trustworthy auto mechanics (example: I was going to a nearby competitor that "accidentally" added on extra charges on two separate occasions). I found the Curry Ford Tuffy Auto Service Center because they are AAA approved and offer a 10% discount on labor repairs that take place in the shop. The manager, Tony, was dealing with a really rude, irate customer before me. It was clear that the customer was simply venting to the wrong person. Tony handled the situation with a gracious smile and offer to remedy anything that he could. In my situation: Tony took the time to call my dad, who is the family auto expert. He discussed options with my dad and even saved me about $500 more by taking the extra time in an effort to preserve my deteriorating front calipers. Tony is just a good person, and no, I have no family/friend affiliation with them. This is just honest and exceptional service!
