Went in to get two tires replaced on my car. After waiting for almost two hours, I asked the manager what was taking so long and he said that it was because I had an "odd tire size on my car" and that it was "taking a while to mount them correctly". The tires were 215/50/R17 and they were being mounted on 17x7 wheels, which is a common size among modern cars, despite the manager saying otherwise. When I finally got the car back, the manager told me I had a bad tierod, a leaking radiator and a leaking axle seal. He then tried to get me to fix all the problems on the spot ($600-700 total).I declined since I already knew they were trying to rip me off, since I knew 100% that my radiator was not leaking (had done a coolant flush eight months earlier and hadnt lost any fluid in that time). Instead I went to an ACTUAL mechanic the next day and told them to see if all this was true. As I suspected, none of what the manager at Firestone had told me was true. My car was in perfect working order. Dont trust these guys for a minute, even with your tires. Because to top it all off, they curbed the absolute hell out of the two wheels on which they switched the tires. If you need new tires, I would highly recommend Discount Tire on Beville. For any other service, I would highly recommend Theresas Garage, as they do an excellent job at reasonable prices.

I own and operate an auto collision repair shop. One of my customers which happens to be a 70 year old woman was stranded 200 miles away from home in her Honda Odyssey . Her towing company towed her car to this service center. The supposedly professionals there told the woman she needed to replace an Alternator and the total repair cost would be $500. The car was towed at 4:30 PM to this center . They close at 7:00 PM. They said they could not help her until next day after they knew she would have to spend the night in her car on their parking lot. I felt bad for my customer and I found a mobile mechanic in the area. The mechanic had the car toewed to his house and repaired the car which he finished at 11:30 PM. After he finished repairing the honda, The mobile mechanic called me to tell me that there was nothing wrong with the alternator. A tensioning pulley had gone bad which caused the belt not to be tensioned and therefore the alternator was not turning and not charging. The repair cost was less than $150. Whatever is the case here, be aware of this service center . They either do not know what they are doing or they deliberately ripp people off.

I needed to have the battery replaced in my old car. They said it would take about one hour. After waiting 2 and a half hours, I enquirer as to what was happening. They said they were still waiting for the battery! I asked them to cancel, I was leaving. Miraculously within 5 minutes the new battery arrived and was installed, in 2 minutes. After driving away the the car was vibrating and a noise coming out of the engine. Took the car back next morning, to find out the battery was not properly secured. The tool that was supposed to hold the battery in place was missing - so they tied it with a zip tie....but the old battery was firmly in place when I dropped the car off! The corrosion package I paid for was not done, and deducted from the bill. CANNOT recommend this place - shoddy work, and lies from beginning to end - at top dollar!

I lived in Daytona for 2 years and never went anywhere else to get my car serviced. Not only were there great people working there, but they were determined not to screw me over. Once, my check engine light kept going on and off sporadically. One of the managers (who was the only person there whom I found a bit flakey) said they could run a diagnostic on it and figure out what it was, but after he left the room, one of the other personnel told me it was probably just a loose wire or something very small and insignificant. He said that the diagnostic would cost much more than the cost to fix whatever small problem it had. SO I said thanks and didnt waste my money - THATS great service. Honesty and a sincere will to help you out.

On Monday, August 6, 2012 one of our company vehicles went to this Firestone in Daytona Beach to have a tire repaired due to a nail in the tire. The tire was fixed, and at the same time they stated to our driver that another tire had a screw in the side wall that could not be repaired, but needed to be replaced. The driver told the person that he did not have the authority to make the purchase without authorization from the office. They told the driver they received the authorization, when in fact, they did not. Nor did they show the driver the tire with the screw in the side wall of the tire. The cost - over $200.00 to fix a flat and buy an unneeded tire. BEWARE OF THIS FIRESTONE CENTER!!!

Took my vehicle in for the $20 advertised oil change, had a good experience. Had my father go down for the same, and they found a stripped plug in his oil pan. Its really tough to say whether it was the old oil change place or this one, but it gets better. He was pretty much stuck dealing with them at that point. $500 later the technician was slamming the underside of the car with a 3lb sledge trying to get the oil pan either in or out. My dad finally got management involved and they corrected the fellow, but the damage was done, and the cost. Beware the $20 enticement. It will cost you in the end. Unless you get lucky on who is working on it.

The manager lied and said there were multiple nails in 3 tires. I took the car to a trusted mechanic and found out that there was only one nail in one tire. This deception was clearly just an attempt to get another sale from a "naive" college student, as the manager also tried to sell me four new tires. I am very disappointed in the lack of integrity displayed at this store. On a side note, I was the only person in the lobby, and an oil change took over an hour and a half.

It is conveniently located right inside the mall parking lot so you can walk over there while you are waiting. I would strongly recommend ordering your tires online, schedule an appointment and call to verify that the tires that you ordered actually came in before you head over there.
