A well equipped family run gym to that I give it 5 stars. But it is dirty and run down changing facilities and bathrooms in need of a serious upgrade. The toilet stall partitions were so greasy with filth on the inside I had to use toilet paper to touch the doors. The bathrooms are basically disgusting. Trainers that claim certification most are not not nor are they insured which is illegal in Florida. Some of the trainers carry concealed handguns on them inside the facility while training their clientele. Much of the equipment is old to very old albeit they are kept in decent condition. The tanning beds are ancient. The male owner is arrogant and intimidating. This is the dull feeling energy you would expect from an older run down establishment. If you want a clean energetic feeling progressive facility this is not it. If you are after cheap membership than this is a great place. Simply put it is old and looking run down and gym etiquette is not enforced all the while being monitored by closed circuit cameras..wonder why? If a prison was attached it would be perfect. Want proof go and pay the $8 for the day pass and walk around but its best to go during peak times so you can see for yourself..

Its been 5 years since my last review. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. I promise you this, once you go there you would not want to train at another gym. They offer a 30 day free gym membership without any attachments to it. This place is extremely well organized, the staff is super friendly and always helpful. You will not have to wait in line for using their equipment. If you are new to the gym field, and need help with getting started, they have a lot of professional personal trainers, that speak a variety of languages and help you to reach your own personal fitness goal. The staff keeps the place very clean and the equipment is well maintained. Disregard all the negative posts because those are all false. I kid you not, but this is the best gym in all South Florida.

WOW! what a great Fitness center, i just moved here from Boston,and i tried out You-fit, and LA fitness all they were was a big meat market with a bunch of young punks hogging all the equipment.and a big fashion show ! The Athletic Factor gym is a dream come true for anybody who loves to train, A ton of equipment, biggest dumbell area i have ever seen in a club, i just started training with one of there trainers who is an ex professional athlete. The thing i liked the most about the club is my second time there the whole front desk staff new and addressed me by first name. WHAT A GREAT PLACE! THANK YOU ATHLETIC FACTOR!

I have trained at many gyms in S.FL and I have to say Athletic Factor is by far one of the top gyms around. They have great equipment and the dumbells go up to 150lb. Its a real gym for people seeking real results. The atmosphere is great, the crowd goes from beginners to professional athletes. The staff at Athletic Factor is by far the friendliest staff, there isnt many gyms were the owners get to know you and know everyones name as soon as you walk through the doors. If your ever in the area make sure you stop by and check it out, you wont regret it!

I was encouraged to join the Athletic Factor Gym from my doctor. I have a herniated disc that makes moving around in the morning very difficult. I joined the gym and was helped by their personal trainer on what machines to use so that I would ease into a program that wouldnt disable me. The first week was really hard on me, however, after learning the proper way how to lift and exercise, I feel like a new person. The gym has been around for many years and I found the staff and clients very nice. I would like to recommend to anyone that this gym is the best.

I LOVE Athletic Factor Gym and all the staff! I recently moved to South Florida from Georgia and I couldnt be more happy that this gym is a place I can call home. The staff are always friendly and greet everyone that walks through the door. Every time I leave the gym they ask me how my workout was and tell me to have a great day. I look forward to my workouts at Athletic Factor! Their equipment selection is HUGE, a few machines you wont find in your typical chain gym, and always clean! The folks at Athletic Factor Gym really know how to encourage to stay the course for a better life style when it comes to working out. Im always asking questions how to have a better body and these guys have the answer. Ive come along way getting in shape and I must thank the people at Athletic Factor Gym. The really help me motivate myself and the results are great. I have lost 27 pounds and feel like I can concord the world.

Wish i knew about this gym sooner. Exaclty what i was looking for. Low key No BS everyone is there to train and not look for dates. Good mixture of amateurs and pros. Lots of good equipment, good music, and a shake bar.The owner and his staff sealed the deal. From the first day they treated me like they knew me for years.

Ive had three gym memberships in South Florida and have trained at several others. This gym is my favorite by far! A greatly run facility with a great staff and old school type equipment with tons free weights. It has everything you need in a gym and a lot more! Pretty motivating atmosphere as well.

Amazing gym. Everyone including the staff is friendly. It feels like a family when i workout there. Btw i drive from downtown fort lauderdale to workout here. Thats how much this gym rocks. I wont go anywhere else.

I am very disappointed. I went there one time and found out that one of their personal trainers whos name is Richie is a convicted sexual offender. My wife, myself nor my children will never go back there!

The athletic Factor is my favorite gym here in pompano beach!! Awesome old school equipment, friendly staff, and $20 a month, cant beat that. If you dont believe me try for yourself, first month free!

the place needs remodeling, things are falling apart smells like fart and sweaty arm pits only one shower works bathrooms are so dirty, even the rats and roaches wouldnt sleep there.

Awesome location very hardcore gym hospitality is better then any gym Ive ever been to. Smoothie/snack bar has some delicious items after your done working out
