Zero stars. I did not have a good experience here at all. My husband purchased a package for me to get a massage, pedicure and manicure. I expected great service because of the location and price. The massage was just okay. I told her the problem area I always have because she asked, but she didnt spend any extra time whatsoever going over that area. The deluxe pedicure and manicure were completely underwhelming. I didnt receive any sort of massage which is customary with these services, and is also clearly stated in their description on the website. The polish on my fingernails looked like it had grown out for two weeks. It did not look fresh or new. I mistakenly made a haircut appointment within a few days of this appointment (I know, why go back?!) and that was the worst experience of all. I wanted a simple haircut. It wasnt a complicated request. The first lady made the haircut I came in with even more of a disaster. She said she had been cutting hair for 45 years, but to me, someone with that much experience should be able to cut a simple bob. She did not shampoo my hair or section my hair off to cut. Im no hairdresser, but I know that is something that always has to be done! She asked how the cut looked and when I looked in the mirror, I was shocked to see that it was completely uneven. Obviously uneven and horrible. After an unpleasant exchange with this woman, she pawned me off to someone else who actually did a good job and cared to ask how I wanted my hair cut. She took time with me and didnt rush me like the previous person did. Kim, the second lady, did her best to fix the mistake that she said was obviously there. I wasnt delusional...the haircut was atrocious. She did a great job, but that is not enough for me to ever go back there. Please, do NOT waste your time or money on this place. It is overpriced and the quality isnt there.

In January, myself (Bride), my mother and my bridesmaids visited Sanibel Day Spa for wedding day pampering. I found Sanibel Day Spa using the Google Search and would have appreciated feedback from previous brides or clients before spending my time and money at their Spa on my Wedding Day. I want to publish our disappointment with the staff and atmosphere at Sanibel Day Spa. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, we did not feel the staff cared about any of us. Their facility is a very impersonal place of business. Which is a shame, because I was actually very happy with my hair and make up. The problem was with the attitudes of the receptionists. When we first walked in to the spa, the two girls at the front desk failed to greet us, never said “hi”, “how are you”, “Oh! This is your special day, how exciting”. Nothing. They were not friendly nor were they welcoming. My wedding was a destination wedding, which is becoming more and more popular. Many people will see my pictures and ask questions. Some brides-to-be may want recommendations on Sanibel Island. Then the questions starts. “Where did you get your hair and makeup done? Would you recommend Sanibel Day Spa”? We would NOT recommend Sanibel Day Spa. The bill for my mom and I was $248.00. That was very expensive, as all we had done was our hair and makeup. For $248.00 we should have walked out of there will smiles on our faces and feeling really good. But all we could talk about was how the Spa employees dampened our spirits for the prepping portion of my special day. I hope this Review will open their eyes enough so that they make an effort to make bridal parties feel special on their special day, whether it is a big bridal party or a small party. We certainly did not feel special.

Up front, I want to say that I have not actually been to the Sanibel Day Spa. My review is based on how difficult I felt they made it to even book an appointment. My sister and I wanted to have our hair formally done for a vow renewal we are attending. When I called to schedule appointments for hairstyling I was told that I had to use their website and complete the bridal contract. To be clear, my sister and I are not in the ceremony in any way, we are only guests who have no skill at making our own hair look nice and thought it would be fun to have it professionally styled together. I asked if they made all people simply attending a wedding/vow renewal complete this contract and they said yes. Some people may not mind jumping through hoops to make a hair appointment, but Im not one of them. I think its ridiculous to ask that of potential customers. To say the least, I did not book with them and am going to look elsewhere for a salon that wont make booking appointments such a hassle.

What an absolute disappointment! I struggled with the less than professional receptionist to even attempt to make an appointment, was put on hold and needed to explain about 2 separate appointments for 2 massages. She put me on hold for nearly 5 minutes and said she was the only person there. No an inviting or relaxing experience and we never made it through the front door. We choose the Sanibel Day Spa based on recommendations and social media, both sources were very good and they are rated very high. Not really sure what happened here, but I cancelled due to the tone of the conversation. They also want you credit card number "to hold" your services. This was a new one to me. I have been enjoying massages all over the country for years and have never been asked for my credit card in advance. Maybe I am missing out on something special here, but first impressions mean a lot and this was a miserable failure.

I am a licensed skin esthetician. During a getaway to Sanibel my boyfriend decided he wanted a massage so I thought I would get a facial to treat my sun-parched skin. This is pretty much the only place on the island that provides these types of services and to call it a spa would be an insult to all the fabulous spas out there. From the moment I walked in, I felt uncomfortable. Unfriendly faces, no professional licenses posted, no medical information was taken before the service and, unfortunately, my European facial was the worst I have ever received. In fact, it was so bad, I wanted to walk out in the first five minutes but, I suffered through it and thought about what else I could have done with my money wasted at the Sanibel Day Spa. For Petes sake, do not bother.

I am a monthly to bi monthly visitor to the Sanibel Day Spa where I experience hair, nails and massage. Most times I dont go to anyone in particular. Its a family atmosphere, its very clean, all the staff is very seasoned and professional. I happened on the these reviews as I was looking for a place to get my nails done today. The spa is closed on Sunday except in peak times. I like the salons products too, they are all uncommon to most salons except I heard they are going to go back to using a really popular nail brand but a higher grade of it because so many visitors keep calling and asking for it. Dont hesitate to see for yourself.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT A SALON!!! BRIDES- DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! They did not treat me or any of my bridesmaids like we were clients and all together they received $700.00 out of us. IN FACT the owner kept telling us we couldnt stand in certain areas, because it was for clients. my hair dresser was fantastic (thank goodness) BUT my sister had to go get her hair done some where else because her hair looked horrible! The staff is SOO RUDE! They literally gave the worst service! BIG MISTAKE! Hope I can save someone some money from this review! I would give them 0 stars if I could! HORRIBLE!!!!!!!
