FIRST: Id like to remind each and every one of you trying to reach these people by phone that this post office is the HUB. It is where EVERY package goes to FIRST before it is delivered. If your post was lost....this is not their fault. Each package is scanned and placed in the proper delivery schedule. They can either be mis-labeled when a shipment comes, or mis-placed by a different post office. Sarasotas post has never mis-placed or missed any of my shipments, and the postal service that delivers your mail does their job from 4am until 7pm. Do yours and stop badgering and bad-mouthing them for issues that are not their fault. Let me also add in that I get over 40 packages a month, so calm yourselves.

I had a very time sensitive package that I needed to be sent by 2 day mail. They didnt send it to the location I specified. They sent it to me. To my return address. After checking the tracking its where they punched into the computer when I was there. Its really simple: TO is where it is going FROM is who it was sent by. Go to FedEx or UPS. This place is full of morons. This a ruined a lot of things for me. Not to mention I cant get anyone to talk to me on the phone, so I have to go down there and demand a refund, which I doubt they will give me. I cant even send the package to the correct address, as I said before it was time sensitive and now it is too late.

I gave them one star because I have to so I can write a review. That rule must be so they get at least a star. These are union federal employees(the current anti union administration wants to break every union except the gov ones)make excellent wages and exceptional benefits. If I performed at my job on par with these employees Id be out of there & my compensation is less for doing highly skilled college degree required work of more value. Just another glaring example of: if you want it to fall apart let the gov run it. Disgusting. I vote faithfully even though Ive lost faith in my vote being below meaningless.

Pros: The post office opens at 8 rather than 9 like most around here. Cons: This branch is lazy, unprofessional, and does not take itself seriously. I put a letter in my mailbox with the flag up and it was not picked up for SEVEN DAYS. You cant just pick and choose which days to pick up mail when that is your job. Also, when a package was delivered a few weeks back (clearly labeled "fragile"), it was thrown over my 6ft tall gate and landed approximately 10 feet up my driveway (on a very rainy week, no less). Not pleased.

Tracking system stated "attempted delivery, notice left" - There was no attempted delivery, no notice left. I have cameras set up recording, there was no attempted delivery. I tracked my package and this is the office location that "attempted delivery". Some restructuring of employees needs to happen at this location, I paid for 1 day shipping and I needed that package the next day.

This post office LIED and told my customer their package had no house number and therefore could not be delivered. Stated it was thrown in a "lost mail" pile. Package had a barcoded label with full address and return address. Tried to call, but they NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. Submitted formal complaint with FL Post Master.

would love to know why they never answer the phones.....why have a phone number if your not going to answer it....tried many days in a row they NEVER answer it...drove there to find out my package is not there is being delivered...and to get back home to find i missed them again....thanks guys....your AWSOME.......NOT

i wish i could make it to where they get no star. i have been waiting on a package and i cant even get a hold of someone at this office because their phone wont allow you to talk to a person. my package says out for delivery but the mail has already came and gone and i need to know where my package is at.

I have used this post office on Ringling Blvd for the past three years and have found the skill and service orientation of the employees exemplary. They manage very complex transactions, helping customers navigate the requirements for local, national and international mailings. Very professional!

Calling for hours no one answers their phone My mail forwarding was confirmed but mail still going to old vacant address after two weeks No email postmaster doesnt answer another mailbox takes messages but was full Typical bureaucracy with no incentive to provide customer service

Very disappointing. Tracking number says package was scanned and left at door. Unfortunately, he brought up the regular mail and left the package in the truck. This location has two phone numbers and both are not being answered. Im sorry but I would get fired for such behavior.

Not only do they not answer their phone, the system spits you from the local number into the never-ending central loop of HELL and makes it impossible to get anyone to answer, and very possible to drive up your blood pressure. No wonder this government institution is failing.

I have been trying to call this branch all morning. I get a recording stating they are busy and gives me an 800 number to call, and then terminates the call. I tried the 800 number and they cant help me. I need to speak to someone at this specific branch but cant. Grrrrr.

This place literally doesnt stop at all of their delivery spots. Worst of all they dont answer their phones and wont even look up your tracking number when u walk in. They said "when it comes in....we send it out. PERIOD" VERY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS

Tried 11 phone calls no luck, Took time off work to go in person since they dont answer the phone, find out they put my box as vacant even though i live at same address for 3 years and check my mail daily, mistake s happen but then get attitude, wow

Been trying to call them several times .. I am out of the country and have my mail on hold... need to talk with someone because I am not coming back at the time I put my mail on hold... twice they picked the phone up and hung bit right back up...

My regular mailman is 100% but the Thursday man that fills in on his day off is a 0 ... he never brings Priority mail to the door ... and is a lazy Ass ... always leaves paper in box ... I am disabled and this is a great inconvenience ...

Downtown post office. Nice employees but slow at times. Great place to people watch. Some real characters slow down service but employees handle them all with politeness and willingness to help. Parking is a little difficult at times.

Tried to call this location literally 10-15 times in one day and every time the phone rang and rang until it just eventually disconnected. No one ever picked up the phone. Its impossible to reach this place. Totally unprofessional!!
