It has been an absolute pain to get a passport. I am a teacher and cannot get there before three. I tried calling for two weeks to (preferably) talk to someone or at least leave a voicemail and their mailbox was full those two weeks! I finally call again Monday and left a voicemail. STILL NO RESPONSE. My boyfriend called six times in a row until he got someone and they told him as long as we get there before 3:30 we will get seen as the Saturday appointments were booked out months in advance. So I go there today (only four days later mind you) at 3:15pm to find the numbers are gone and theres a new policy where they want to see everyone by 3:30 and if you are left over you arent seen. This is the most atrocious and absolute WORST customer service experience Ive dealt with! I wish they had an online appointment scheduling system so I dont wait for a returned phone call that will never come. As a teacher and a worker, anyone working full time can hardly make it before three so it makes this entire process almost impossible. If I could give negative stars I would.

Its no wonder US postal service is where it is today. I sat in the passport section at 12:30-3:30 when i first arived they were serving number 1 and i pulled number 54.How the hell do you work from 8am. Till 12:30 and service no customers? (Its a federal job) They have 3 counters to help customers but only had 1 person working the counter while 3 other employees would come out look at how busy it was and go back and hide.(its a federal job )That is just poor customer service and poor management. Think of all the lost revenue they lost! No company ever stayed open by losing money that fast. (Again... its a federal job) Someone should be fired!!! And we all know that wont happen. Come on everyone...say it with me!! (Its a federal job)I bet the only way you would lose your job there is if you jumped up on the counter and mooned everyone! Good luck staying open. Americans have a way of getting things done when government cant. Will be glad to pay more for better service. Here that FedEx and Ups??? You should start a passport section at your local drop off sites.

Giving 5 stars because of too many complainers. Someone mentioned that they are a teacher about 10 times in their post as if she should deserve special treatment. She also makes it seem as if anyone getting a passport before 3 PM must not be a "worker" like she is. Get over yourself and as much as I believe educators are severely underappreciated I dont believe they deserve special treatment over other citizens. We live in a FREE country and hopefully for many years to come, unless we get more people who fall in love with welfare giving Obama. This means you are free to choose your lifestyle and your career. Im tired of people entering a job or career, begin to hate that job or career and then take it out on everyone else. I love USA and I will always stand up for my county, my constitution and especially my fellow patriots. God bless America! As a side note, Ive lived in 5 different states and in every single state the post offices either dont answer or I get a busy signal, accept it people.

WASTE OF TAX PAYER DOLLARS (passport office) This post office screwed up my wifes passport application by not signing the DS 11 properly TWICE (2). It was rejected by the Department of State each time.. (Each time the official told us we couldnt witness the signing because it was a "secret process"). Each time we went we arrived at 5am to beat the crowd, due to the fact its the only walk in facility in the area. Everyone we met working at the post office seemed to disregard urgency, common courtesy, common sense and everything else you would expect an official representing the US government to have. Long story short, this place screwed me out of $$ because of the incompantancies and we missed our trip. Biggest group of degenerates your money can buy!! Side note: Ensure your postal officials in the passport office are bilingual (at least Spanish speaking) because it takes an additional 20 minutes to translate Spanish to "im an English speaking postal worker who cares less" language.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The waiting room is the most germ infested small room one could imagine, thank goodness the mothers finally decided to take their crying busy little kids outside. From my count they average 6 customers an hour. Which is the most ridiculous thing when all you hear is talking on the other side of the wall from multiple employees. They were on number 39 for about an hour and no employees were helping anyone at this time. Also, do not bother calling for an appointment for the weekend. The number provided is a automated response that I listened to for almost a month. No contact with anyone! This location has the worst customer service. This process has shown me why the USPS is struggling to keep customers. In the review it says customers usually spend 15 minutes to an 1 hour here, LIES! Make sure you have a clear day to waste at the lovely Bessie Coleman USPS in Tampa.

Have tried at least 30 times, during business hours yesterday and today, to call my local post office (3600 block Hillsborough Avenue. Have gotten busy signals each time. Apparently they keep their phone off the hook to avoid answering calls. Tried to call the Spruce Ave. office, also during business hours today, only to have it ring repeatedly with no response. Service is the worst on earth! I have two items (one letter mailed from Laurel MS 12/21/15, the other a parcel sent in time to arrive for Christmas. Neither has shown up as of today, 12/29/15. I think the postal service should shut down, forcing businesses to transmit payments via direct deposit to their bank accounts and to send all packages via Fedex or UPS, where delivery can be reasonably assured! In my opinion, the postal service is an example of unions gone berserk, with overpaid, employees and bureaucrats in charge!!!!!

This place and their tape rule is the epitomy of why bureaucracies dont work. I broghut a heavy package in duct taped and it has been proven that duct tape has a much stronger glue than most tapes. Now the cashier sees the duct tape and says I cant ship my box because it is electrical tape and that I need to buy the packaging tape there for 3.50 and to re tape my box if they are going to ship it. Now why in the hell would I take a stronger bonding tape off to put a weaker tape on because "if the box gets wet then the tape will peel up." The box shouldnt get wet in the first place because then the electrical contents would have gotten ruined anyways and tape would have been the least of their problems. Just dont go here if you dont absolutely have to and even then be ready for getting the 2 hour run araouund from a bureacracy.

Very rude and unhelpful. This does not even deserved a star. When came in there were one person ahead of me and One being served . the person at the desk Rod saw that we came in. When he was done he attended to the other. While waiting observed that he did not change from the last 2 customers he did not change any numbers. When we can up was told that he could not take without a number. By then several people came in. When I went to get the number it was not working. So while waiting additional 1 and 1/2 hers later he pretending to do something just not attend to us. When we finally came up by another person only to be told that we have to go I inside of the post office. All that we we was trying to do was to new my mothers passport who is elderly and can not fend for herself. Is this the way you treat your senior citizens?
