If I could give less than one start, I would! The USPS has never been noted for their outstanding customer service, but this location takes the cake for HORRIBLE customer service. I was in need of a PO Box, so I reserved one online. I got an email telling me to take the receipt, as well as the identification to the location, and they would assign me a box, and get me my keys. Should be simple, right? Wrong! First off, I have NEVER seen more than ONE employee at the counter, but at times the line for service was out the door! I went to the agent, handed him my receipt, and paperwork, and he went to work to assign me a box. After close to 30 minutes of standing there, I was finally handed two keys to my box, and the box number. Since the line was out the door, he told me to try the keys, and if they didnt work, to come back and see him. Well, you guessed it, I tried the keys, and they did not work. I got back in line, and after waiting close to 45 minutes, told him those keys did not work. He then took about 25 minutes to "assign" me a new box number. He gave me two brand new keys, and told me to try those in the new box number. You guessed it, those didnt work either. He told me to come back in a few days, and there would be keys at the desk. I went back four days later, and he handed me new keys. I tried those and they worked. A week later, I got a call from a donor (I run a Not for Profit) and was told that the donation check that they sent me was returned as incorrect address. I looked online, and my post office box shows "closed." I went back to the post office to show them the returned letter, and I was told that was "impossible." They showed me a screen that showed my PO Box was assigned to me. I showed them the webpage that showed my box was closed. I was told to wait by my box and someone named Roman would come and talk to me. Roman basically called me a liar, even though I showed him the returned letter. There is a post office in both Riverview and Ruskin. I suggest you use one of them.

The individual and individuals who are in charge of the Sun City Center Post Office, both past and present are idiots to say the least. An organization who does much dirt behind the innocence of a once thriving retirement community again to say the least, I could go on about this misguided, shameful organization who’s in plain sight agenda is to manage by fear to its employees and customers to say the least again. Anytime a Postmaster can leave an incompetent idiot (Buddy) to manage any post office is very detrimental to the operational effectiveness of the organization. Don’t think Mr. McCullough I’m giving you respect because all s**t starts at the top, now focus where its starts, now think about yourself, you get the picture. I’ve been in there many times where this idiot displays no personal skills whatsoever. This office needs to be carefully monitored because many instances of unjustified decisions have been displayed there ever since the McCullough character came into town riding a jack**s. No wonder this character has been trying to transfer out of this great place. From what I hear in the community he’s only well known for only a**hole attributes which in my opinion reflects the state of the United States Postal Services problems as we speak. Don’t get me wrong probably the best place in the world to live for seasoned folk’s but with the level of subpar intelligence that runs this organization here in Sun City Center by those who have sold their soul. Rochfish1 your one of many who isn’t afraid to stand up to these a**holes, trust me their being watched and don’t even know it. Cheers

Counter folks are nice (and deserve five stars); however, the female supervisor on 9/2/2016 in the morning is NOT Customer Service oriented. Apparently, only a "Supervisor" can be called to handle a Priority Mail Tracking Number issue. Counter personnel paged the Supervisor at 9:15 AM with three (3) more pages up to 9:35 AM. When the Supervisor approached I realized she had walked by at least two (2) times since the first page and did not have the professional courtesy to say "I will be with you shortly...". Then the answer to the issue that my Priority Mail Medical Letter to Anchorage AK has been sitting in Battle Creek Michigan since 8/31/16 (delivery was to be 9/1/16 in Anchorage) was - "the machine scanned it incorrectly"! My 21 years in the USAF and 25 years in the oil/gas industry 99.9% of the time it is the human element, not the machine, that causes the problem. Oh, did I get offered a refund for a service I paid for but did not get, nor, if I had not come in and questioned what was going on, the medical letter would still be in Battle Creek, MI. Less than professional by the Female Supervisor at this US Post Office. T. Jones, MSgt, USAF, (Ret)

I have been having to go to this location to pick up my mail since July 2016 because my new community does not have kiosks set up for delivery yet (for some reason someone thinks its more convenient to keep all mailboxes in one location instead of individuallying at a persons home). Only certain people are able to retrieve my mail. I have also tried to call prior to going but no one EVER answers the phone. Today alone I have tried 12 times in the past 2 hours. It rings and rings and then hangs up. When I try to call back, it either does not let me or its a busy signal. They also fail to provide packages upon pick up when I get notification that its there - hence trying to call prior to pick up. Overall terrible service. However, Buddy is definitely the nicest one there and I try to go when hes around in the mornings.

I stopped in here and mailed some letters, so not too much excitement, but overall the place was clean, and the line was short when I was there. So all seemed good at this location. It is a bit hidden behind some other businesses in a strip mall, so although plenty of parking and easy access, it can be a bit tricky to find. The lobby is open 24/7 so you can check your box anytime.

Lady behind the counter tried to tell me that my large envelope was a parcel....not an envelope. Ive only been mailing out envelopes for 10 years with no issues.....so apparently Im doing it wrong. Steer clear of this USPS.....
