On my way home in Jacksonville from vacation in Alabama, I got off I-10 at Tallahassee for gas and food for my family. After starting my car in the Chick-Fil-La parking lot, there was a loud whining noise and steam came out from the hood. It was 4:30pm on a Saturday so I knew there was very little time to have the car fixed. I first went to Tuffy and they said it was too late to take me with only an hour to go before their closing time. So I limped along to Firestone at the 501 North Monroe Street location thinking that I had no radiator fluid left and my engine was going to overheat any second based on all green fluid I left in the Chick-Fil-La parking lot. Tony Alexander helped me - he was great, very competent, calm (as opposed to me), and efficient. My family sat on the floor for a while because they were very busy with 5 customers in front of me. Still, within 30 minutes they got my car looked at and Tony said it wasnt my radiator but my A/C line had come apart. We talked about what they could do and I said to please fix anything to let me get home to Jax. Later, he said my A/C Compressor was shot. I couldnt believe it since my Toyota dealer in Jax had just installed a brand new compressor before I left on vacation about 10 days before. Anyway, they fixed the car so we could get home. The price was very reasonable. We got home and later I took the car to my Toyota dealer. Tony was right, the A/C Compressor was shot and my Toyota dealer replaced it for free. Long story short, I was in a bad spot. I had engine lights on, green fluid all over my engine compartment and it was 4:30pm on a Saturday. Tuffy had already declined to look at it and my family was looking at local hotels to stay at for the night. Pulling into this store and working with Tony Alexander was the best thing thats happened to me for auto care in a very, very long time. They helped me despite having 5 customers ahead of me with 90 minutes left to go on a Saturday. This is a story Im telling my friends and acquaintances and Im definitely giving my local Firestone store a try for maintaining my car from now on..

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! If I could give this place no stars I absolutely would!!! Ive been having issues with my car while up at Florida state and Ive taken my car to this Firestone to investigate the problem a few times. The first time I went I explained my situation to a man who was watching tv the whole time I talked about it and then explained to me they would not even look at my car because "my oil change was not up and we dont just hook up the cars to the sensor". Which is ridiculous but I was shuffled out so quickly I could barely contend my case. He sent me to a transmission guy. The transmission was fine, but when he hooked me up to the sensor he found a problem and sent me back to Firestone. I went back for an oil change and they found the problem the transmission guy had already diagnosed. I dropped my car off early in the morning the following days, and they kept it until late the next afternoon without calling me that theyd be keeping it overnight (I had to call them!) I get back home to south Florida and my car is billowing smoke and basically all of my hoses are in need of repair none of which was mentioned to me at all here when I paid to have my car inspected completely. This place is a nightmare.

Shysters, charlatans, scam artists! Clearly that one good yelp review for this place is someone whos related to an employee. All the other reviews are spot on. I needed front and rear brake job and probably some new rotors. It was $16.11 to inspect it, and Im so happy thats all I had to pay to get out of there. They said I needed three new rotors and were going to charge $80 something for these $30 rotors, plus another $80 to switch out the brake fluid, which had very recently been topped off and didnt need to be flushed. Overall, it was going to be $535. I immediately took my car to a place my friends had recommended (Jakes Brakes) and they said the rotors didnt need replacing and could be fixed in house. Jakes Brakes got me out the door and saved me over $200. I delivered in this town for 10 years and dealt with a lot of cheats when it comes to car repair; Firestone is the epitome - they rely on churning and ripping off college kids who dont know any better and just want to put it on daddys credit card. Even if you have Firestones credit card, Id suggest driving or getting towed to a different city. Youll save yourself time, money, and stress

Please forgive me of any typos. Im at work and writing this fast. work is crazy during the legislative session. The customer service people at the front desks are extremely nice. Tony and Mitch are good people. The facility is clean and comfortable. However, there have been two occasions where firestone forgot to take care of my requested repairs. one time I went in for an oil change. I think they forgot about my car. After three hours I asked about it. Then it was ready ten minutes later But the biggest issue i have is that they lied to me. They told me i had a cracked oil pan. Would have cost me $400 - $500. I took it to the super lube on tharpe street. Met an employee there, James, hes really nice. Looked at my oil pan for free. He took a picture and showed me that there were no cracks. That I just had a leaky oil pan gasket. A $100 - $150 repair. Ive given this firestone around $2500 as a long time customer and dont know if I was being tricked the whole time. They have lost my business. I do not trust them. Maybe Ill go back for small stuff, but ill always have doubt if i ask them about a major repair.

While returning with my family to western Florida from Orlando, our car developed unexpected problems, forcing us to spend the night and find local auto service the next morning. Options were limited since I had to be on foot, and I was not thrilled to find that the most convenient place had a lowly 2-star rating which I virtually always avoid. I showed up at 6:53am and the doors opened a few minutes early. After explaining our situation, Chris promptly got everything taken care of for a fantastic price. It would have been easy to overcharge us and take too long, but neither was the case. Nothing more to say except great job on this one, and check them out before writing them off based on older reviews.

Had a horrible experience here. I came in at 8, and I was told that it would take 3 hours to be completed so I should go and come back and they would call when it was done. So I did. At 1:13 approximately, I called because I hadnt heard anything back and after being on a long hold the guy Bill said oh yea its being pulled in right now it will be done in an hour. So I come at 2 and I see my car parked in the same spot that I left it at 8. I go inside talk to someone and they say Im next. I sat in there until 4 and my car had not moved an inch so I asked for my key and left. No remorse for lying, no nothing. I wasted a whole day to have nothing completed and I am very upset !!!
