This was my first experience with Midas and probably will be my last one. I decided to go here because I needed service on my car, and most of the local repair shops are closed on the weekends. I trusted them because they were a name brand but unfortunately that was a mistake. Not only are they very pricey, but I thought the attention to detail and care with my car was poor at best. I had a list of several things I wanted fixed on my car (including a loud rattling sound), and everything seemed to be going smoothly up until it was time to actually pick up my car. After the appointment, I picked my car up and started driving half way home when I started noticing an even louder rattling sound. Frustrated the problem hadnt been resolved, I took it back to Midas not even 10 minutes later in which the same person that originally checked me out didnt remember me! It hadnt even been 10 minutes. Rather than making me a priority to fix their mistake, he had told me that the technicians could take a look at the issue during their emergency time slot at the end of the day which was 4-5 hours away. This was a huge inconvenience especially since I had out of town guests visiting. Before leaving, I confirmed they would call me as soon as the car was done. The day rolled on, and it was getting dangerously close to the end of their working hours so I called them back to see what the deal was with my car. It turned out the issue was the technician who worked on my car forgot to properly attach the heatsink back on, and the car had been sitting waiting for pick up. I was very frustrated with the sense of urgency and care to quality. Frustrated by this experience, I decided to move on since everything had been working fine for a few days. I noticed they had cracked one of my hubcaps when trying to change the brakes, and I soon lost that hubcap a few days later. I also later found out when getting new tires that they had completely busted my tire pressure sensor when also doing the brake replacement. This cost me a significant amount of money later. I eventually voiced my frustrations and filed a complaint with Midas. The district manager reached out to me and listened to my concerns. He seemed pretty genuine and told me he would call me back either way to find out what exactly happened. I never received a call back. Long story short, Id recommend you go to local repair shop or choose a different place if youre looking for quality work on your car.

Please do not take your car here. I took my car my to Midas to have my spare looked at. The techs found out that there was a leak in the tire. They were confident that they could fix the tire, and put it back on my drivers side for me. When all was said and done I was told that the price would be $24.99 for tire repair and wheel balance. So just a quick recap I went into Midas at 8:30 AM and was done by 9:15 AM. While I was driving my car later that day I had to go onto the expressway, to my surprise when I reached 40 mphs my Jeep Wrangler began to shake uncontrollably. I immediately called Midas back and spoke with the manager Tim who had helped me earlier in the day. He told me to bring my Jeep back up and stated that the spare that they had put on my car was balanced, but they probably needed to balance the other front tire. I agreed. At 6:45 P.M. I brought my Jeep back up to Midas. As soon as I pulled in the Manager and another guy came up to my vehicle. They immediately began to talk about how my tire (the one that they patched and okd 5 hours earlier), now showed signs of wear and tear. They said I needed a new tire! It eventually turned into me needing two new front tires. So I was trying to figure out how did we go from balancing my tires to now I need to replace the tire that they told me was okay to patch up and then drive on? One tech took me for a drive so that he could feel the shake. He felt it. All he wanted to talk about was that it could be the suspension or this and that. I kept telling them that all I wanted was for the tires to be balanced. For those of you won own a Jeep Wrangler I am sure that you are used to the death wobble or something close to it. I told them that I had already experienced this type of shake. I also told them that it was fixed by balancing the wheels. The Manager and techs went from helping me in the morning, to acting like they needed to cover themselves. I would have rather had them tell me that the tire couldnt be fixed, versus them patching it knowing that it would give me problems later. So at the end of the day, I had them put the my spare back on, and left with no positive results. If you want an honest opinion on how to fix your vehicle dont take it here. Hopefully I save someone the frustration that I had to go through. I really had hopes for these guys and this shop. Im just happy that I didnt spend anymore time or money at this shop. I can handle losing the $25.39.

I give them two stars only because they didnt charge us for a diagnostic (there normally is a charge, but their sensor didnt fit our car so they couldnt run a diagnostic). Other than that, I would tell other consumers to avoid this place. My wife was driving to work when her check engine light started flashing and her car started shaking. It shook more at idle, but it also didnt like accelerating. We took it to Autozone and got a read on what the problem was, and they said it was a misfire in cylinder three. I bought new plugs and wires and changed them myself, but it kept happening. My next guess was the ignition coil, but I dont have enough experience to fix that. My wife and I decided to take the car into Midas because they said they could look at it that weekend while we waited. I went in expecting to hear talk about an ignition coil. Keep in mind, this car is 20 years old and KBBs at about $1200. After telling the Midas mechanics everything here along with the information that the drivers window doesnt work and that we had been planning on selling the car this summer and that we wanted it only to run, the mechanics got to work trying to figure out whats wrong. As stated before, the diagnostic machine didnt work, so they were admittedly in the dark minus what I told them was happening. They started doing some diagnostic sheet and completely missed that our horn doesnt work. They also rolled down the drivers window (we were very lucky to get it back up). After an hour or so, the mechanic comes back with an $1100 quote to replace not only the catalytic converter, but also the resonator and the muffler too. We heard absolutely nothing about the coil. The mechanic tried to convince us that misfires were connected to a bad catalytic converter and that we needed to replace everything from the converter back in order to get this car back into sell condition. We promptly declined and escaped without paying a fee and took it a different shop. Within a couple days, the mechanic there called me back and explained that the issue was the ignition coil like I thought and that he had swapped the coil and tested it just to be sure. I approved the $175 fix and the car now works just fine. In conclusion, I highly advise you to stay away from this place. Either they legitimately didnt know (yikes) what was wrong or they knew and tried to rip us off (also yikes). Either way is not good. Take your car somewhere else.
