They are taking forever to get my car done. They were supposed to do suspension work, and a few minor things like a blinker and wipers and they told me that it would be done the next day. They are charging me 1600 dollars for what seems like should be a lot cheaper (not the reason for the 1 star because I really dont know). I took my car in last wednesday morning at 10am and told them of some of the problems, and they did diagnostics and recommended that i get new tyrods, ball joints, and a power steering line or i would have bigger problems. They are also fixing the blinker socket, and wiper transmission. So I gave them the go ahead wednesday afternoon. the parts cost in itself is about 950, so I guess its legitamate if they spend a lot of labor time on the car. I was expecting a really good mechanic as everyone else has said but they do not seem to be doing good at all, in fact, my experience so far is horrible. they never call to tell me what is going on with my vehicle, and as of now, my car has been there for a week. They told me every day since I took it in that my car would be done the next day but came up with an excuse each day i called them at 5pm. I may never go back depending on what happens later. I thought this would be my new mechanic in the area but I will have to find another one that is more well renowned in the East Lansing area. If they would have told me right off the bat that it would take a week to fix my car, I wouldnt be complaining and they probably would have gotten more stars, depending on how well they do in the end. But since they seem to not ever tell me what is going on the "next day" when the car is supposed to be done, I am writing this review early. Others seem to have a great experience, I dont see how... I am a college student, with a job and commitments and 1600 dollars in car repairs on top of not having a car for over a week makes things much harder for me. first they had a lot of shipping issues, and it took forever to ship the parts, than they ended up getting the wrong parts, so they had to send them back and get new ones. They said today that they messed up and need to redo some things in the suspension before I can get my car, (they said by tomorrow or the next day) so i guess i will just be patient. I will update that they called me today and said they are replacing my windshield for free because they accidently broke it, and they apologized for the inconvenience and explained everything, they also took a few hundred bucks off, and seemed to explain why they took so long well, ill go from 1 to 3 stars. they guarenteed that it would be done tomorrow afternoon.

This is a great establishment. I was driving to Ohio for the weekend and blew out my rear break lines. I called them up and told them my situation. Martin (President) was up front about everything, telling me he would try to get me back on the road asap but made no guarantees until he was able to look over the vehicle. When I arrived they had a bay open, and immediately started working on my truck. Within 10 minutes they had the problem diagnosed. Improper installation of my exhaust system wore out fittings on the break lines. He said he would be about an hour to bend the new lines and bleed the system. They even modified the bracket so that my break lines would clear the new exhaust (even thought it was a horrible installation done in Grand Rapids). In 45 mins I hear the truck fire up. They fixed my truck before our ride showed up to take us to Ohio. Martin (President) is a very kind and reasonable guy. Along with luggage and a girlfriend (even more luggage), she brought her cat. He had no problem letting us hang out in the lobby, and kept me up to date with everything going on in the shop. And as I mentioned they fixed my truck before our backup ride even showed up. The bill was reasonable, and mainly I was just happy that I didn’t have to leave my truck there while I was out of town. He even wrote in the bill (before I was able to ask) that the damage was all related to the exhaust I had installed less than a month ago. This will help me out when I go give them a piece of mind. Definitely please with their work, and will continue to use these guys.

I recently purchased a Ford taurus and one day a jerking motion started on the car. I took it to a car shop that I trust and they told me that my cylinders were misfiring and I knew the car needed a tune up but couldnt get it done there. I started looking into other places for quotes. The first place was going to charge me $45 to do a diagnostic when I already told them what was going on. They did a visual inspection and confirmed what I knew but did not feel comfortable with the people who were there and they way they handled themselves and comments they made. I went next to a very well known franchise. I waited for three and a half hours for them to do something that took 20 minutes. They wanted to charge me $70 to do a diagnostic but told me they wouldnt charge me if it came up as the same thing I had told them. As it did show up as a misfire they let me leave but told me the full tune up would be over $600! I finally went to Auto Pros, laid it down straight to them and they were very receptive. They quoted me for half of the price on the spot! I immediately felt comfortable there. The shop is immaculate, the owner is right there if problems were to arise- a rare find these days- and they were very professional. I left and called them an hour later to schedule an appointment. They got me in and out in less time they quoted me for and the problem is completely fixed. I am very happy with this shop and as a student, I will go there with any other problems and recommend them to my friends!

took my wifes grand prix in for a second opinion and a laundry list of repair items from a GM dealership on the south side of town. I emailed back and forth with the owner, Marty, at length about what parts they would use, the pricing for the parts and labor and we worked out a great deal which was far, far cheaper than the dealership estimates for the same exact work. Marty was very nice in the shop, did the work in 2 days as promised and even took charges off for a few nominal cost parts because they would have put him over our agreed price for the work. Mechanics are mechanics and Ive been to plenty of crap ones around the Lansing area but I always try to go in well prepared about the parts and labor involved with a task and Marty was great to work with in this respect. I got a LOT of work done for less than half of what other shops wanted and my only regret is that I didnt have a lift and the equipment to do the work myself since Im a hands on guy. This was the next best thing and nearly 6 months later the car is still purring like a kitten. Id recommend these guys to anyone looking for a good mechanic in the area.
