I came in to get a black to blue ombre color. The lady that serviced me gave me the expectations that we can do that. I had a picture to reference from as well. Well... Lets say that it didnt go as planned. My hair was originally black and it still looks black after my service. I paid $255 for a hair cut and color. The hair cut was done poorly, as one section wasnt even cut and was noticeably longer than the rest. I had sections of COPPER in my hair. It was supposed to be black to blue. The rest of the staff at the time even came over to justify that what was done was done WELL. There is such a slight slight shade of blue but looks nothing like what I asked for. If the hair professionals know that the look I wanted was unrealistic, they should not have put me under the impression as if this what I wanted was possible. I am still in awe that I HAD to pay almost $300 for this terrible cut and color. I will be speaking to the manager. UPDATE!!!!!!! I recently went back to the salon to get my hair redone from the first mess up. I am so pleased with my hair and treatment I couldnt ask for more! I had Kat doing my hair and she is awesome. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to do some fun colors in their hair as well as any other types of color and styles. She was very professional and enjoyable to talk to (: my haircut is awesome and my hair looks and feels awesome! Thanks Kat <3 Also I would like to state that the previous stylist is Chantelle and I wouldnt recommend her if you are doing any other colors besides blonde, brown, and black. She was very nice and pleasant as well, however I dont believe she knew what she was doing. She told me that clarifying shampoo was OKAY to use on colored hair... That is actually the opposite to the truth for anyone else wondering. Also she used the wrong technique for my hair as she did weaving instead of slicing. The worst was that my hair wasnt even cut evenly from her. Just simple long layers and face framing snips was what I asked for. Just go to Kat! She is great! Cant wait to go back and retone the color in a few weeks (: the only reason the review is 4 out of 5 is because the first time in was so bad. Otherwise it would be a 5 out of 5 for my second visit !

I have been coming here for a little over than three years. Kristine has been my stylist and I could not be any happier! I discovered this place soon after I have relocated from Chicago, where I used to go to another Aveda salon. So, I had high expectations, and the courteous and friendly members of this location have never failed! I have coarse, unruly, wavy, and fully gray hair, and all four different styles that Kristine cut for me worked out terrific! Kristine knows every trick that a hairstylist is supposed to know--at least the ones who cut my hair!--from thinning out to cutting perfect layers. She is never shy of trying new styles, and best of all, if you showed her pictures of different styles that you like, she will give you one that combines all! Super creative without being crazy. She, like other staff members here , is very patient with the endless demands of her clients ( I brought in a co-worker for a hair cut, and Kristine did her daughters hair and put a really nice, light, make-up). Well, in short, every time I get a haircut I know I will get compliments, even from my husband! I recommend the Salon and Kristine with no reservations for a 100% satisfactory experience!

DO NOT SEE SARAH!!! I went to her 3 times. Each time, she never remembered my name and thought she was meeting me for the first time. I assume she sees a lot of faces, so no big deal. During the second visit, she was a bit late. Today, I went to an appointment I scheduled 2 weeks ago to find she double booked me. I was going to leave, but she assured me shed be done in 20 minutes, so I waited. 30 minutes later, she sits me down while the other girl she booked is sitting there waiting to have her hair blow dried (awkward). I give her an idea of the color I want, and she tells me its too complicated and would be considered a color correction (ie more money). I asked for highlights and a root touch up. Nothing fancy! And she was the one who colored my hair last, so any mistake she was "correcting" would be her own. I say screw it, just cut my hair and touch up my roots and Ill be happy, and she refused then suggested I talk to the owner about scheduling an appointment with someone more experienced with highlights. Then she simply walked away and began blow drying the other girls hair. Un-freaking-believable.

I had a great experience at Salon Norrell last week! I was warmly greeted by Jalynn, who was so helpful in connecting me to the right stylist based on my needs. She showed me a menu of relaxing rituals to start my service, from which I could pick two. Kristine was my stylist and I could tell she loves and lives her craft. She gave a thorough consultation and had pictures on hand to help us both get an idea of what I wanted. After having a few bad experiences since moving to Florida last year, Kristine was able to clean up the mess others had made of my hair. Beyond her skill, which she seems to fine tune with regular continuing education, she had a bright heart and personality, and Im grateful to have been connected with her. This was the best salon experience Ive had in Florida yet and recommend her to my own clients when the opportunity arises! Salon Norrell is the place to be for stellar service and awesome people who love what they do.

I moved to Tampa 10 months ago and the first thing I needed to do once I settled in was find a hairstylist. I love Aveda in general, so when I encountered this salon I was down to try it out. The best thing that has happened to me since I moved to Tampa was to get Chelsea as my stylist. I have been to the salon 6 times now and Chelsea has cut my hair 5 of those times. She is amazing, hilarious, talented and overall the best person to have ever styled my hair. The other time I had my hair cut by Kat and shes pretty cool too but for my own personal hair needs Chelsea is it. The salon is great, the service is outstanding, and I highly recommend Salon Norrell to anyone looking for a new place or for some serious professionals that will take care of all your hair goals.

Im a full time mom and assistant working full time . When I looked up salons online near me this facility came up . I saw the ratings and called for an appointment. I had no trouble getting a last minute appointment. Rebecca was my stylist . She gave me the exact haircut I wanted . The products smell amazing . My hair looks great and now I dont look like I only get 4 hours of sleep a day haha . Thanks Rebecca. Ill definitely be back .
