While vacationing in Georgia, we hit something that bent our RVs retractable steps into a tangled mess. Road Side assistance wanted to tow the entire motor home to an RV repair center but we simply tied it up as best we could and found a local garage that was able to remove it for us. We found Garrett Automotive in Cartersville and stopped to see if they could help us. Nice, nice, nice and very helpful. They could not repair the wrecked stairs of course (Im sure replacing them will be the only option), but they were able to remove it for us and took time out immediately to help us get back on the road. They didnt even charge us a dime for their trouble. This is the kind of garage and mechanics everyone wishes they had in their home town and I hope this review brings them all the business they deserve.

Had a bad wheel bearings on two different vehicles and needed a float put in one because the gas gauge quit working. They were very helpful did an awesome job and had my car in and out within an hour. The truck they had to keep for the day but I had it back by 3 that afternoon. The only shop ive ever delt with that kept their word about how long it would take and didnt try to tack on extras after the work was done. When they found problems while fixing my truck they called me to let me know what they found and ask if I wanted them to go ahead and fix it or wait till another time. And they didnt try to scare me into thinking it was something that had to be done now. All in all a great experience. Next best thing to having my dad fix it for me. ( Because you know a girls daddy is going to do it right.)

Chris was great - I called this morning with a "check engine light" that was related either to transmission issues or the spark plugs. Chris was able to see me immediately, took the car for a quick spin around the block, then ran diagnostics on my 2010 VW CC Sport. He let me know it was an issue with the spark plug on cylinder #2 and was able to replace all of the spark plugs for a full tune up in less than an hour. Chris is knowledgeable, professional and very considerate. Id highly recommend Garrett Automotive (Chris runs the location in Cartersville)!

We had to get off the highway, while on our way to Florida, because our "check engine" light came on and the car started stopping at red lights and getting choked up. We found Garretts Automotove shop on Yelp, and thank goodness we did. We received the kind of service everyone hopes for, when having unexpected car trouble. We were out in little time. The guys found the most cost effective way for us to fix the engine coils, and didnt even charge us what most shops would. What a great experience!

I had removed the wheel hub from the van. All I needed was them to press out the outer race of the bearing and press in the new bearing. They quoted me 45 to 90 dollars. I am from Florida, the machine shops I am used to dealing with would have charged me around 15 maybe 20 dollars. CRAZY seems all the auto places up here are here to rip you off!!!!!!!! even if you bring them the part, do all the labor, they still want to charge you a days wage. What a scam!

Jeep broke down, called Garrett Auto (after Google showed great reviews), within the hour it had been towed to the shop and the issue addressed. They ordered the part, fixed it, and were able to get it all done by the end of the day! Super friendly staff and wonderful experience. We have all been to the mechanic who tries to screw us over or is just simply an ass, and I would tell you to head over here to avoid all that! Thank you!!!

Chris and the guys at Garretts provide outstanding service at very reasonable prices. When I first moved to Cartersville and was looking for a mechanic, a friend who raced cars, mentioned that Garrets was the only shop that he would let touch his cars. That was all I needed to hear. This was my first experience with Chris and Garrett Automotive, and I must say they are GREAT to work with! I had one of those problems that didnt occur all the time so it was hard to diagnose on my car. Chris was so diligent and so patient until it was fixed. Went here for my 1985 s10 and I will say this mechanic shop is willing to go that extra mile for their customers. Cool staff, fast/high quality work, and great prices Chris is the man to see! Garrett Automotive has SUPERB service, Chris and John are both very patient and very HONEST! They have economical pricing, while doing a QUALITY job!! I have to say John is doing a FANTASTIC job running this shop and i cant wait for the new shop to open on hwy Cobb Pkwy and McCollum Pkwy.
