I do not have any complaints about the facility itself. HOWEVER, I do have two issues with their policies. The first issue is that when you open an account, they ask you if you have homeowners insurance to cover the storage space. When we told them we did have insurance, we were told that we have to provide proof of that insurance. Within 2 days we came back and provided proof of insurance. Even though we provided the proof, they STILL charge you their rate for 1 months insurance. So much for good will to new customers. I understand that there may be people that just say they have insurance and then never provide proof. But it would be a much better policy to credit a customers account for the first months insurance once they have the proof they requested. My advice to a prospective customer - BRING PROOF OF INSURANCE at the time you plan to open an account. The second issue is BEWARE OF PRICE INCREASES!! We have now had 2 price increases (of $5.00 each) in the span of one year. We are about one price increase away from finding somewhere else to go.

I have utilized the services of 2 storage facilities in the past 2 years, one here in Atlanta and the other in Jacksonville FL. I was very disappointed with several aspects of the past properties; Cleanliness, security and price. One weekend I decided it was time to find a new facility and I decided to start shopping around and I was surprised at what I found - they all seemed the same. That was until I stumbled on this location and then everything changed. The staff has been GREAT!! Their prices could not be beat and once I visited the facility I was even more impressed. VERY CLEAN AND SECURE. If you desire clean and safe and you like saving money then look no further than Extra Space Storage!!

I reserved a unit at one location (Abbotts Bridge Rd, Duluth) on 4/17/15 which would be held until 5/1/2015. I was informed that paperwork would need to be signed prior to using the unit and that could be completed at any location. I went to the location on Cheshire Bridge Rd on 4/20/15 to complete the paperwork. It was not quick because of two locations involved but was told, after the paperwork had been filled out, the rent would start on that day. I didn’t need the unit until 4/27/15 but I was told there was no way to delay the billing date once the contract had been signed. To save another trip I am paying for an empty unit for one week.

This is a good clean storage facility with a good variety of storage room sizes. It is easy to access and conveniently located for quick weekend stops, but the area can get quite congested during rush hour. The staff is friendly and the prices are pretty good, but be prepared for the standard move in "Deals". I got most of a month free and a free lock for the storage closet in exchange for signing up for their insurance plan. As soon as I canceled the insurance my storage rate went up, though I suppose it might have been a coincidence. They also offer an online payment option that makes my life a lot easier.

Today, I stopped by Extra Space Storage to check for any available units. A little flustered with having to move out in 2 days, I was put at ease with the whole process due to Charlies fantastic customer service and availability in units. Charlie was awesome in helping me find the perfect unit for my items! I feel at ease knowing my personal belongings will be stored in a safe, clean, and convenient space. The units prices are very reasonable for what you are getting and the process is very streamline to get set up. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone needing to find a safe, reliable storage unit!

I needed a storage space for about one year as I would be on the road all the time. I started searching and found this great facility. The facility manager was very helpful, as I was not sure what size of a storage room I would need. She was professional and polite, and made great suggestions, with a back-up plan for me during the move in day. Moving carts were readily available. Security was good. If I ever need another storage unit, I would definitely use this company again. For the security, air-conditioning, and convenient location, I highly recommended this storage unit.

I honestly have not had a bad experience at this storeage unit location. It is so clean and pleasant and the people have always taken great care of us, no matter who it was. Most recently Hannah was amazing. From the moment I walked in shortly before closing with some questions.…she was very patient. She was cheerful and helpful and reassured me that I did not need to worry about closing time…that she could stay late. Right till the end she was super pleasant and made sure I was completely taken care of. Thanks extra space. Wouldnt go elsewhere!!

I had to look around a few places last minute for a unit. I went to 3 different places including extra space. Alicia gave me the walk through and really seemed to care and was very helpful. Even though Extra Space was a bit more expensive than the other two, the customer service I got from Alicia swayed my decision to get a unit there. Overall I had no problems what so ever getting my stuff in, and checkout was quick and easy. I honestly dont think I could of gotten better customer service anywhere, Alicia was great, and cute to boot.

Seriously...when you rent a space here you not only get an EXTREMELY CLEAN and SAFE place but you get Alicia. She is the best!! Thorough, professional, informed and cheerful. What more could you ask for. I got the perfect space for what I needed and excellent customer service! Cameras, climate control, and a code to get into the building where the indoor units are. I always feel safe when I have to drop something off after dark. Highly recommend this place. You definitely get more for your money.

Today, I went in to purchase boxes from this location and then found that they didnt fit into my car. I had a little hiccup when I tried to return the boxes so that I could come and get them with a friend that had a larger car later. I was a little upset about this, but Cara worked really hard to get results that I could live with. Later, her boss ended up bringing the boxes directly to my house! To say that they went above and beyond was an understatement.

I would definitely recommend this location to any and every one I come across that asks about Extra Space Storage. At a time when customer service is not a priority to many people /companies, it is obviously a priority here. My experience with Charlie, Lauren and the rest of the staff, completely amazed me. Thanks for everything! Especially your patience and understanding when dealing with me. Yall are #1!!!!

The facility is everything you could want in a storage facility. Its secure. The staff seemed to genuinely care that you are storing your possessions on their grounds. Its clean. Very clean. And they work with you to make sure all of your needs are met in terms of space, location access and climate control. The pricing also seems very reasonable and flexible. I would definitely recommend Extra Space Storage.
