My move-in process was rather simplistic and quick, given that this was an interstate move. Fynesse (PS employee) assisted myself and the movers to the storage unit after I completed the paperwork. Upon entering the building where my storage unit was located, I noticed the temperature was fairly warm for a "climate-controlled" facility. Actually, it was warmer than the temperature outside. I pointed that out to Fynesse and she looked into it by comparing the flow of the A/C on the opposite side of the facility, in which the air was blowing more cool air. I also noticed the light bulb directly above my storage unit was out and Fynesse told me she would notify maintenance, so they can replace it next time theyre on the property. On another occasion, I came by to check on my storage unit and was unable to enter due to the door keypad. I tried several times and called the front desk, in which Quanyse (PS employee) explained to me how that specific door can be tricky to open at times, but to try my gate code again and wait for the 2nd click to turn the knob and enter. Unfortunately, after many failed attempts (6 times), I gave up and left. Since Ive been back to my storage unit, Ive had NO problems with the door keypad and have been able to enter with no issues. Although, the light bulb in my storage unit still has NOT been replaced nor has the climate become cooler in that building... its still too warm. I look forward to Public Storage rectifying these concerns that I have, as its been almost a month since Ive moved in and I complained of these issues on my move-in day (4/28/14). On the contrary, I must commend Quanyse on her outstanding customer service the other day. She helped my Mom and I retrieve a few suitcases that the movers placed way in the back of our 10x25 storage unit where we couldnt get to it ourselves. We greatly appreciated her selfless actions and help; she went above and beyond her call of duty! Fynesse also has been affable and professional every time that Ive interacted with her. I would have given this review 5 stars, had it not been for the issues that have yet to be rectified, but Im certain that Public Storages corporate office will make sure that my needs are met upon reading this. Today, I had the opportunity of working with Miss Shawn and my experience with her was the highlight of my day. Miss Shawn was funny, energetic, witty and accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met. After reserving a unit online, I learned that my unit was not available. Miss Shawn immediately offered me another unit that could accommodate my needs, searched other stores to accommodate my budget and needs, and ultimately ended up giving me my original unit after opting to prepare the unit herself so I could move in as soon as possible. She went above and beyond to ensure that both my financial and storage needs were accounted for and I greatly appreciate her service. She told me that she loved her job and her attitude reflected her words. She turned a "usually not-so-fun experience" into a fun and memorable one that I did not want to end. Thank you for your hard work and service, Miss Shawn! You are doing a great job! Also, while the register area smelled strongly of moth balls, the units were clean and spacious and the grounds were well maintained. I loved how the storage is gated for additional security.

Rushed me to get paperwork done while attending to movers, with noticeable damage to items (obvious miscommunication at some point). Did not have a chance to make preferences known to movers and in the end my storage unit was a mess with broken glass all over the place from coffee & end tables top broken from inexperienced mover(s). Was eventually left to redo entire until nearly alone, after a long drive from another state. The experience started off mediocre then turned disastrous, after numerous calls as to my arrival in which was delayed do to unforeseen circumstances prior to my arrival. Welcome to Atlanta......the worse ever experience from a storage facility Ive ever had, given this is not my first time renting from public storage.....but will be my last at this location or any other with same staff and management. Left feeling disheveled & destitute in the end! Next day an attempt was made to be more friendlier and helpful with cleaning-up glass after all the damage had been done. 1st impressions are everything & will never forget this experience.....horrendous!!!

Shawn was a huge help & was very pleasant in helping coordinate our moving needs. She is definitely 5 stars all on her own, BUT I am rating this location only one star though because there seems to be issues at this location. There was a horrible stench in the office the day we went in & we thought maybe it was just from something in the outside air. After we got in our car, the stench was all over our moving boxes & filled our car. That night the boxes stayed outside in the garage in hopes of getting rid of this funky smell, but no! I tried to call this location all day the following day, but kept getting voicemail only. Ive never smelled anything like this stench before. It was like "dead something" smell. I wound up reloading the boxes & going to another PS location where they gladly exchanged our boxes. They also smelled the same horrid smell & apologized for our experience. Cant believe a business would even stay open without resolving this issue & poor Shawn having to smell this all day too!!!! They should be ashamed of themselves!!

Update- I had this unit for 11/2 years and just ended my contract because I dont need it any more. Steen checked me out and was very professional and friendly. Over the time I had the unit, I saw a few spiders in it but no ants, roaches or rodents. There was also no water damage. Everything in the unit stayed as dry as a non-climate controlled unit can provide (I never noticed any moisture). I got a storage unit recently. The place is clean and appears to be safe - reassuring that Gwinnett police patrol on-property periodically. Shawn checked me in - she is wonderful. Her attitude was extremely possitive and her manner was very friendly. She handled the whole transaction professionally.

Dan was amazing! My mother recently lost her home and we needed to move her stuff into storage quickly but we werent trying to spend too much. I was skeptical about the size if the unit he said I should get because I thought it was too small. This guy must be a Tetris master or something because I got everything in there with room to spare! Thanks again Dan, Im definitely sending my friends your way should they ever need a unit!

I appreciated Shawns professional and outgoing attitude. She explained the paperwork where it was easy to understand. I felt comfortable signing and understood just was expected of me. The grounds and the facility were very well kept. I felt my possessions were in capable hands. I just wished that would have had some carts available to carry some items. But I would still have left it at that facility with Shawn....cart or not.

I came to this location because it was close to where I live and I needed a unit fast! Shawn showed me a unit right away and I rented it immediately. She was extremely professional and even if I lived further away, I would have picked this location just because I knew she was here. I am so sad to know that she will be working at another PS location...everyone wants Shawn to work at their PS location! She is awesome!
