Joe Anderson(the owner) is very friendly and professional. Exceptional quality work, customer service, and pricing. Hes also straight forward with the work he does and answers any questions you might have. I brought in my 97 red Mustang with the original paint still on it with some damage on the right side door, right side panel, and a decent sized chunk taken out of the front corner of the hood. Quality: 5/5: First of all, the car being 21 years old definitely showed a bit of age since the paint was the original coat and had faded over time. I chose a deeper red color and was amazed at how the car looks now. After the body work and paint job, the car looks immaculate: they took out all the dings and dents, and also had the door replaced with a new one. The entire car shines and looks amazing. I wasnt proud of the way it looked before, but now it doesnt even look like an old car anymore. My Mustang looks like it came straight out of the factory and hasnt touched since 1997. All the exterior damage has been fixed, including the chip in the fiberglass hood (which we were told by other shops couldnt be fixed or patched without replacing the hood for upwards of $1500+). In my opinion the red paint looks better than the original and stands out more than any other red car on the road. Price: The quote he gave us was very reasonable, which included a full paint job, replacement door, right side panel repair/replacement,and new headlights to replace the original factory lights which turned milky over time. I chose the priciest of the 3 paint options, which included the extra clear coat and layer of paint(which by comparison to other body shops was a great price especially for the quality of the paint job). Joe was able to install new lights for a price cheaper than the amount I would have paid to do it myself. Overall, I had a very positive experience and I definitely plan on taking my car back to this location in the future. Im very satisfied with the work Joe and his people did, and Im referring my friends to this location in the future as well.

Joe, the owner, was very friendly however, the experience was entirely awful. I brought my 2008 Honda Civic LX from Rabun County. The clear coat and paint were fading on the top and sides. I had quite a few dents that needed to be fixed and also a new front bumper. As an extra, I asked to have my color changed to black. After keeping my car for two weeks, Maaco called and said my car was ready for pickup. I paid approximately over $2100 for the job that was done. I was a little too excited having the color changed and didnt take a closer look. After all, Ive no experience in detailing. Now that Ive had my car back, Ive noticed bubbles under the paint and the color isnt the dark black I had asked for. Also, the dents were left untouched. And for some odd reason, someone in their shop decided to disconnect my grounding wires from my system in the trunk. They also managed to break the fixture where my tail light goes. They didnt let the paint dry on the inside of the trunk before shutting it and now Ive got fuzz stuck to my car. I asked HDZ Auto/Detail of Otto, NC to take a quick glance at my car and they said the paint will probably last a year or maybe less. Needless to say, as much as I paid to have my car painted and free of dents, I am very displeased and will not ever go back nor refer anyone. Yes the owner was friendly, but that is not what I paid over $2100 for.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your best not to listen to any ludicrus reviews you see on here! Joe is by far the nicest guy in the Maaco industry! Ive had 3 cars painted so far, the first was at another shop and their service was ok, but the last 2 cars I had painted with Joe at Maaco and he is hands down the only guy Ill trust with my car! With me being a college student on a budget, he was very up front and honest about what he was doing with my cars. He never tries to over sell me with options I dont need, actually opposite: he helps me make the choices to do body work and small stuff myself to save me money! The results of each job were amazing!!! My last paint service only cost $400, but I have people asking where I go! They assume Im spending over 1000 because of the quality of Joe and his teams workmanship! I wish I could post pictures on here to prove his quality!!! As for who I am and why my opinion matters, I say this; I am a 4th year physics and mechanical engineering double major attending UNG and then Ga Tech in the fall. I am not an idiot by any means, and I give you my word when I say if you need any body work done, go to Gainesville Maaco! Thanks! David

Please do yourself a favor and go to Maaco in Gainesville. I cannot recommend them highly enough. The quotes that I received from others was so horribly high and Joe (who is a perfect gentleman) with his reasonable quotes, lets you believe that there is still fair play in this world. Since his quote was so much below the other Collision Repair places, I was afraid that the work was going to be shoddy. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The work was outstanding. Most of the collision experts said I would have to replace the door, but Joe did such a good job, instead of thousands, (one quotation was for 5000$) my bill was only in hundreds. Simply unbelievable. If you need collision repair and painting, please go to Maaco Gainesville and you will walk away from your accident smiling like I did! Thank you Joe!

BEWARE: request a complete estimate PRIOR. their package options posted on the wall are meant to be misleading and they will not volunteer additional charges. I felt there were bait and switch tactics used. We were charged additional $900. over their package promotion....after we went to pick up the vehicle - no mention of that additional expense during several prior phone conversations. Sadly, our paint job is less than top notch with a bumper panel full of surface blemishes in the paint. We requested their 5 yr warranty package. would i recommend them - no, try another Maaco. How hard is it to be up front and honest...........................

Just picked up my 1965 Ford F100 from Maaco in Gainesville, GA today. They did a fantastic job! I am so pleased with how it turned out. The work was performed as discussed and at the price discussed - no hidden charges, as other reviewers have posted. Cindy was very patient, helping me pick out my paint color, even with a change of mind. Joe was great to work with and genuinely seemed to care about my truck and that I was happy with the outcome. The price was very reasonable when compared to other shops. I would definitely use Maaco again and recommend them to others.

I am a car dealer and do a lot of business with MAACO in different states and I can tell you this one did the poorest quality of work I have ever received. Owner is a nice fellow but I will have to pay someone else to fix there work. Car has no gloss and looks uneven. Called MAACO and they could care less. Be careful and do not pay until you get a good look at car. Mine was covered in dust when I picked up and now I know why, to hide the awful paint quality. I will be informing everyone I know to avoid this shop.
