Those other bad reviews are EXACTLY RIGHT!! Ive been going here every few months since I moved to Clayton County 4 years ago. I swore I would never go back after last June, I was getting my sew in on my birthday and my stylist got in to an argument with the stylist next to us!!! There was a lot of cussing and name calling and the young guy that was supposed to be running the shop just sat there and watched!! My stylist said they put the other lady out of the shop because she kept messing up peoples hair! He said he didnt wanna get in the middle because when the cops came someone had to be alive to tell the story!!! My hair finally got done, I think I shouldve got a discount for having to go through all that mess!! I went about 5:30 on Valentines night and I called before to see if they could take me and they said "yes, come on" When I walked in the lady said Im sorry were closed we just forgot to lock the door and I told her that I called and whomever answered said to come on. She had the nerve to ask me who did I speak to.....like that made a difference!! All I know it was a young girl and she was there and it probably was the lady I was talking to but neither would admit to the one that answered the phone!! I wouldve appreciated an apology and well give you a discount if you come back since we made you come for nothing. Then this same lady had the nerve to say "I thought you was calling your ride.?" when I tried to talk to the stylist who got thrown out for messing peoples hair up!! I LEFT AND I AINT NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS UNPROFESSIONAL GHETTO AZZ PLACE EVER AGAIN EXCEPT TO DRAG PEOPLE OUT IF THERE AND TO CUSS THEM OUT!! I WISH I KNEW WHO OWED THIS FRANCHISE BECAUSE ID TELL HIM THAT HE NEEDS TO BETTER SCREEN THESE PEOPLE BEFORE HE HIRES AND NOT HIRE THESE GHETTO AZZ BITC*** THAT HE HAS PUT IN HIS UPPER RIVERDALE ROAD SHOP!! HE CLEARLY DOESNT KNOW WHO HES HIRING WITH NO LICENSES AND NO CLASS AT ALL. I HATE THAT OUR BLACK PEOPLE HAVE TO ACT LIKE THE THUGS WHITE PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT WE ARE!! THEYLL NEVER GET MY MONEY AGAIN AND I HOPE NO ONE ELSES EITHER!! THIS LOCATION NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN....I might consider the school IDK!!! Darlene that said she had good service....I guess it was just your lucky day. What I have noticed is theres a different group of stylists every time I go so either they dont stay long or they just come to work when they need some money and when they feel like it!! What kind of job is that.....dealer?

Ok, I went in for their 50$ sew in special (open only, closure is 75$). I saw the billboard on I-75, and I decided that if it was horrible Id just accept the loss, and if they did a good job it would save me a fortune in the long run. First off let me tell you the bad; It is a ghetto shopping center salon that looks like a ghetto shopping center salon. The decor is terrible and everything looks like its seen slightly better days. Also people are right about the awful customer service (at least on the phone). I called and asked at least 5 different ways for the guy who answered to give me a recommendation for a stylist and he just wouldnt. It was like a parent asking to choose between their children, they were all described as "equally good". Even when I asked objective questions like "well who has the most experience" or "who gets referred the most by their current clientele".....nothing. Then the line started "breaking up" then went dead. Regardless of the bad impression over the phone I kept driving (mainly because I was almost there). So I get there and look around at the sketchy interior, and kinda started to have second thoughts, but a stylist came up and introduced herself as Tia. Now her hair was actually really pretty so I started to feel better (nothing worse than a stylist with jacked up hair saying shes going to "take care" of you). The rest is pretty short and sweet...1.fast service ( I was in and out in under an hour and a half total). 2. While guy on the phone was annoying she was very pleasant, she knew how to make polite conversation, but also when to shut up (she wasnt trying to be my instant BFF or asking me crazy personal questions). 3. GREAT FINAL RESULT!!! Apparently she has been doing this for 9 years (theres another Tia there also with a different amount of experience....she may be good too but I have no idea). Its been about a week and still feels tight and secure, but not at all painful. Also the coverage and profile is flawless. I had to curl my hair a little more in the front, but Ive never left a salon and not gone home and fixed it a little to get it "just right". Sorry for the long review but heres the summary: Overall despite the unsatisfying phone call, and unattractive location I wish I could give this place 10 stars because the efficiency, and quality of work for the price was AMAZING!! I will be back! {I am also posting this review on Yelp! so if you see it twice I am a real person, not a bot}

Worse service ever on Tara Blvd!!!!! The lady that did my daughters head never introduced herself and the way she was pulling on my daughters head, I’m pretty sure she was angry about something. She tugged and pulled so HARD she made my 16 year old cry, which is not normal because she’s far from being tinder headed. As I sat there waiting I looked around to see if anybody else was having there heads yanked like my daughters because this was her first weave so I wasn’t familiar with the process. No one else was tugging on that string the way that lady did. One lady was so gentle, her client was falling asleep and she looked amazing after words. I guess after she notice my daughter was crying and the look of anger I had she stopped pulling so hard. Which was good because my daughter was about to walk out with an unfinished head of hair if it continued. As for the way the hair looked. IT WAS HORIBLE. I could have done a better job myself by watching a few you tube videos. You could see the tracks even though she didn’t put all the hair I gave to her in. Now this was curly Remy hair, not straight, but you could still see the tracks. The track in the front was so lumpy she couldn’t even put a head band on to cover it because of the noticeable tracks. And she had a big duck beak poking out in the back of her head. Her head was hurting for a weak but I still had to sew some pieces back with in 2 wks because some of the track was coming off. PLEASE if you go to this shop be careful who you chose. Sit and watch the stylist and see the ending results before letting anybody do your hair. It’s time consuming but worth it because you might end up with the incompetent person who did my daughters hair.

Very disappointed in Touched by an Angel Hair Salon in Decatur, GA. I decided that I wanted to give the Touched by an Angel hair salon in Decatur a try. Their ads all looked very professional and Courtney (manager or receptionist-not sure) was very nice on the phone. I arrived at their shop and thought hmmmm, that should have been my cue to leave. My husband was driving and did not want him to wait, so I signaled that I was okay and he left. Well it was my turn, they took me to the back to a room that could not have been more than 6X8 in size. There was a shampoo bowl, a sofa table and a kitchen chair. You know I am looking around for their license, it was there; they were ligit. So Im like, I am here now may as well let them wash and roll my hair. After all, how hard is it to mess up a roller set. Not hard at all if you have enough rollers. She got about a third of my hair rolled and said they were out of rollers in the size I needed. How does a hair salon run out of rollers on one customer? I was the only one there getting a roller set, everyone else was getting weave. She called Courtney who stated that he did not have any money to buy any rollers. I asked what my options were and they had nothing to offer. I politely asked her to remove the rollers she had put in, brush my hair to the back and got up and left. Wish I had read these reviews before wasting my time. I try really hard to patronize small business, but I need them to help me by giving me a reason to want to patronize them. Suite 20 Salon on Candler Road in Decatur is AWESOME! They have great prices and service. They never run out of rollers.
