If it were possible, Id rate them with zero stars. We dropped my wifes minivan for a rear brake job and an oil change. They came back with an estimate which included replacing the rack and pinion steering (claimed leak from rack) plus various fluid flushes for a grand total of $1795.00!! The rack replacement was quoted at $893.95. I found 2 online for less than $280. I had to argue with them to leave off the "rack repair" and just do the brakes and oil change. I figured about $100 for the rear brakes and about $40 to $50 for the oil change, and out the door for about $150, plus or minus. The total bill came to $533.47!!! Without explaining to me prior to authorization they went ahead and replaced the rotors-no explanation! They charged $99.99 for a brake fluid flush! On top of this they charged us about $20 per quart of the "high mileage oil" ($99.12) without telling us and without any indication of who the oil manufacturer is. I just changed the oil on my F-150 this past Saturday and paid under $7 a quart for Valvoline MaxLife High Mileage oil from Advance Auto Parts! There is absolutely no way any of this pricing or behavior is justified. Just to reinforce this experience, I had stopped by this same shop to get an estimate on a 60,000 mile service for my F-150. They would not tell me what they charged. They claimed that to get an accurate estimate they needed my truck in the shop. So, they have never performed a standard set of services on the best selling full size truck in history? They dont know what these prices and costs are for standard services? Ladies and gentlemen, this is clearly a case of unethical business practices. We gave them an honest try to be our local auto service shop and apparently they do not need our business. If you choose to ignore my warning here, at least be sure they spell out for you everything that they intend to charge you BEFORE authorization! Buyer Beware!

My van was brought in for "rough idle" and after over $1500 in repairs it still has a rough idle. The idle speed was increased to make the problem appear a little less obvious but NOT corrected. I was then told that it need another $1000+ in repairs and they did not know if that would resolve the problem. The manager was polite and personable however the bottom line is that the van was brought in for a problem. They replaced the motor mounts which they said was the cause of my problem and performed a decarbon procedure and I paid over $1500 and still have the same problem. Even though they said the motor mounts were obviously bad the car was missed diagnosed and I was charged for a repair that DID NOT repair the car. Repairing the van for the original problem should have been the first priority and then if they noticed something that should be addressed that should have been my decision. The van was brought in for a specific problem and not some other repair. In any reputable business then customer is charged for results - not "what ever is visible" - that is the customers decision. Charge me for repairs not non-results. NO ONE ever said that the motor mounts are bad so we should replace them, pay $1500, and well see what else it might need. I was NEVER told that the motor mounts might not fix the problem. Fix the problem first then discuss with the customer any other recommendations you have. This is not acceptable. I personally do not buy the argument "well it needed that anyway". "That" is not what I brought my van in for. I still dont know what I have to do. I guess I will have to explore other options.

The most horrible experience, I have ever seen with an auto repair shop. Called them to find out if they can diagnose my Mercedes a/c blowing warm air, was told the diagnosis was free to start with. After the Diagnosis, I was told the problem was from a bad leaking valve ($40), with labor and vacuum and recharge and tax will total about $350, which I accepted to fix the problem. They told me it will take about an hour and I waited at the shop for almost 2 hours before I was called, and I taught the car is ready, but instead they told me the entire a/c unit has clogs here and there and will have to be replaced at a cost of $3500 in order to fix the problem, which I declined. They forcefully charged my credit card for $430 adding about $90 to the estimate they initially gave me, for supplies which was not in the estimate and was never approved , all these for work they claimed they performed even though the problem was not fixed. I felt scammed after I recalled a few years ago, that I used this particular shop for a different diagnosis on a valve body problem, which they told me that multiple parts were bad and will cost several thousand dollars to fix, I felt I needed a second opinion for an exorbitant amount and went to the dealership only to find out from the dealership that they misdiagnosed the problem and only one part was bad which I paid the dealer $1400 to fix.

This place used to be really great, but I think they have different management now because the last couple of times weve been really dissatisfied and have witnessed other people upset as well. Im being generous in giving two stars instead of one. Look all over the store and they claim how great their customer service is, but when you listen to how they talk to their customers its clear they only care about their $$. It used to not be that way and really set this place apart from other commercial shops, but now Im just trying to finish the last of my oil change packages before I stop coming for good. Last time I went for an oil change I was the only person in the waiting room. The guy who checked me in informed me I might have to wait a bit, but he didnt inform me that it would take an hour and a half just for an oil change. I guess he didnt know four of his employees got coffee and two others smoked cigarettes while I was waiting for my oil change. So sad to see this place go down hill cause we really liked it, but we wont be going for much longer.

Having been a guy thats worked on my car for years, i encountered a problem that i just couldnt tackle.....a blown motor. I took my car to service street to have the motor replaced. Within 45 of driving my car the oil pressure light came on, my car was over 1-1/2 quarts low on oil. I also took the car in WITHOUT a check engine light on the car, and received it back WITH a check engine light. In the process i had to have my catalytic converter replaced. I ordered a bolt on direct fit catalytic converter and attempted to put it on. What i found were bolts that were rounded off on my exhaust manifold. THE ONLY POSSIBLE way this could have happened was when the motor was replaced. Service Street denied ANY responsibility, couldnt fix the problem because they didnt have "the proper tools", AND havent returned ANY of my calls from their customer complaint line. DO NOT walk, but RUN away from this location. They simply dont take responsibility for their actions when they are CLEARLY at fault.
