I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO ANY REDFORD AUTO LOCATIONS!!! THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONALS AND CROOKS!!!! These reviews are all fake because they give people a $6 discount to write a GOOD REVIEW. They are Basically buying their reviews on here!! DO NOT GO BY THE GOOD REVIEWS!! I was NOT happy at all with my service. I took my car and I spoke with a guy named Ali that claimed he is the owner and he stated that he was a state certified mechanic. I was referred by one of his employees, which is a good friend of mine, the issue I had with my BMW that I thought needed a starter. My car was then towed to the shop and I told them to check it out due to it none starting. They charged me for a diagnostic and they told me that I needed a starter and I had electrical problems. So my bill ended up being roughly [$950] which was paid for. After the bill was paid, the employee stated to me, which will remain nameless, that my car never needed any electrical work and they replaced a starter that was not even needed. The only problem was that a main fuse was non functional. So I took consideration into my own hands and made a phone call to the State of Michigan, the State took action. They also only work under ONE license and that license is used for all the RedFord Auto locations by the name of Matt, that is illegal and I hope they shut them down because no one has money to waste upon lies. People have bills to pay and families to feed, thats why the uncertified owner of Redford Auto drives a very expensive vehicle by robbing people and taking their money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING THERE because you will have bad experience. So please everyone reading this respect my opinion because i do no want you to fall as i did. Thank god for that employee who was honest all along avoided me from moving forward and getting more service done there and getting ripped off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My car was down for a really long time because I blew my transmission. More specifically, my girlfriend blew the transmission. We saved for a very long time to get it fixed - she got rides to work for almost eight months until we could afford to get a used transmission put in. We thought the price was reasonable and called a tow company to get it to a place on the East side. The tow company suggested we take the car to Redford Auto because it was closer and they did great work. Not only did they match the price, the service was unbelievably professional and I got a longer warranty for the work than I would have going East. While that was great, thats not the kicker. They really do guarantee their work. A couple of weeks after the Great Flood of 14 (anyone from Detroit knows what Im talking about), my transmission started acting up again. I called Redford, desperate. I asked them about the warranty, and they allowed me to bring the car in. There was ... water in the trans. Warranty doesnt cover it, of course. Instead of sending me away and forcing my family to be out of not only a car, but our minds for another few months (did I mention that we have school age kids?), they did everything that they could. The car is RUNNING!!! The transmission is smoother, and we now have some time to work on getting another vehicle without not having transportation. Thank you, Ali! Honest, solid guy,

Horrible. Never again will I go or recommend anyone to go here. I went here December of 2016 and got a used car inspection for my Grand Prix, $40. I went back in July and got a used car inspection on my Charger, $40. I went back today, August, and got another used car inspection on the Grand Prix so I could sell it, they tried to charge me $60. The bald guy with the glasses claimed the prices has gone up since last year, yet JUST having the same inspection on another car of mine two months ago for $40, maybe Im lost somewhere. Going back up there after have dropping it off, the same bald guy told me cash only. AGAIN, I WAS JUST HERE TWO MONTHS AGO, AND PAID WITH A CARD, THE SAME AS BACK IN DECEMBER. So I had to leave, go to the bank and come back. After getting the inspection for $40 (I was going to leave and go to Michigan auto tech and repairs next to car tunes on Telegraph) it came back with 5 new things wrong with the car. The car has been sitting in the garage, not driven, only started a few times a week, the miles on the car to date, matched the miles the last time the car was inspected. Theyve made it such a hassle to get simple things done, Ill never be back. Ive recommended this place to a lot of people before, never again.

You should know that they have a sign hanging in the lobby offering a discount on your next purchase if you write a review here. Now thats not to say that these reviews arent accurate, but you also should know that in order to receive the discount you have to bring a printout of the review to their location for them to view. So if I were going to bring this in for a discount and for them to read, lets just say I might write a kinder, gentler evaluation. Considering the above, you might conclude that the ratings may be, how should I say this, a little skewed. However, you could look at this in the opposite way. Being that any company encouraging you to document their service on Google is definitely proud of their customer relations, realizes the importance of good service and obviously has their company mantra based on the proven theory that businesses that treat customers properly thrive (IE Amazon, Apple) where-as companies that treat their customers poorly eventually close.(IE Sears, Target) My review? Politeness 5.0, Courteousness 5.0, Workmanship 4.0, Listening 3.0, Communication 2.0. Most importantly though, will I go back there to have my vehicle serviced? Absolutely Yes!

I sell medical equipment across a multi state territory and put a lot of miles on my Audi.Today I was heading back to Columbus, OH after my last appointment and my fuel pump malfunctioned leaving me stranded. I have to be back in Columbus, OH for a 6:00am flight tomorrow morning. Initial call to Redford was at as 2:30pm The 5 Star rating will be qualified by the following points of extraordinary service provided by Nate(and Staff) at Redford: - Nate had a qualified, decent and respectable tow service get me to his shop in 40mins. - The guys checked my car out immediately(before others in line) and told me that it simply cant be fixed by 6pm. - Since Enterprise Rent-A-Car never came to "pick me up," he recognized the situation and offered to drop me off. - We loaded all my equipment etc. into his SUV and made it to Enterprise just before they closed, but I realized my computer bag was still back in his lobby. - He DROVE BACK AND PICKED IT UP FOR ME!!! Listen, Im making my flight to FL with my family because the gents at Redford were aware and courteous. Thats all anybody asks for especially during a critically time sensitive situation. Call em up NOW!

Havent been in here in about 2years (Oops,Unfortunately LIFE happens& things are beyond yr Control ).Nonetheless, Im Glad Nate & The Staff still Treated me with Respect either way & were concerned as far as why I havent been back to have any further services. I brought my car in for Brake services & they were PROMPT re: my Free inspection, Educated me on what was actually the problem this time around. GRATEFUL For Repair Guys who truly care about their customers and the type of services they need,as opposed to Dealerships who barely educatE about Anything you are not aware of AND ,Only bleed you Dry with charging an Arm ,Leg & Newborn child for the payments.!! Its going to cost some pretty pennies for the Services, BUT I have UNSHAKABLE TRUST & FAITH that my God shall supply All of my needs ,according to his riches in Glory in Christ Jesus. Thank You Nate & Staff for A1 service as Always! !:-):-D
