This auto repair shop is neither more nor less honest than others. However, in this case the name should have been a warning sign. Overall my experience was not a good one, but not quite aweful... It started on the right foot, "free" keurig coffee and friendly enough mechanics and owner, but that is until they hook you, and then the real "fun" begins... Of course at that point you are no longer in the shop when they call you a few hours later with more repairs to be made, because of course there is always a good reason to do more. The gist of it is that any mechanic can tell you that most parts on your vehicle must be replaced if he looks for parts to be replaced. I should have walked away, but needed my car for a road trip. They got me for roughly twice what I could have spent elsewhere, because they ended up replacing more parts than needed. Note: their labor rate is also roughly 15% to 20% higher than other comparable shops in the area. Their parts multiplier ×3 to ×4 retail prices for the exact same OEM part... Dont be fooled by the "better" parts marketing gimmick... This is so easy to verify in todays connected world. Fool me once shame on you... Fool me twice? Not going to happen... I will take my chances elsewhere next time if I need an honest mechanic. Follow-up: As I expected the owner is on top of things, he is well trained and understands the importance of replying to comments recounting a not so great experience. Of course his first move is to skillfully attempt to dismiss my review by aluding that he does not have a record of my visit. The problem with that reply is that one can easily see that he has used that line before with other reviewers. Does he really expect everyone to believe that all the 5-stars reviews are real, but the "not so glorious" ones are not? Really? So many emphatically written reviews... Can anyone really trust all those raving 5-stars reviews to be legitimate? As I said my visit started on the right foot and the mechanics and owner were friendly, except for one of the supervisors who ended up being quite rude. However, his rudness was not the issue; what I cannot tolerate is to be taken advantage of, and then dismissed as if it did not really happen. You will notice that I dont mentioned the rude supervisor by name as a coutesy. Reviews are a very important component of decision making in todays world. Shame on the owner for trying to dismiss the below average reviews.

I had my rear brakes fixed here. Great experience. First we took a ride to determine the problem (i didnt know what was causing the loud scraping sound). Then they hoisted up the car and removed tires and wheels. Then I was brought out to the garage and shown the problem and given a comparison between my rotors and a new roter, they did the same for brake pads. They did the same with the brake pad. Heres what I liked. They kindly greeted me, explained what was wrong and what work needed to be done. They had a comfortable sitting area with free sodas, coffee, a desktop computer (for surfing), wi-fi and TV. They gave me a ride TO and FROM work, for free. They offered me a great price for my brake service with free roadside assistance for a week (free for 1 week after car repairs). I met a lady there who had been coming there for 13 years and refused to take her car else where, they treated her like family. The gentleman at the front desk (who gave me a ride) was very friendly, we actually bonded. They gave me a fair quote on the other repairs I needed, which they physically pointed out to me in the garage. They made repairs same-day as promised. They made me feel confident I was getting the right repairs done given that I was a bit low on funds (i needed both front and rear brake pads and rotors replaced but they told me my front rotors still had some miles on them but my rear rotors were so bad I was cause more costly damage to my car). They used quality parts for the repairs and the work the did was great!! Im definitely going back for the second round of repairs :)

GET A SECOND OPINION. I went to honest1 after reading the reviews. Excited to find a mechanic that seems trust worthy. I needed to get my breaks done on my 99 buick lesaber, with only 86,000 miles on it. I had owned it for a year. My front breaks were sqealing so I knew I needed the pads replaced. Afte they inspected my vehicle. They said that I needed new pads and roaters on my front and I needed to get both my drums replace and pads on the back. Plus they said my rear cylinders were leaking on both my back breaks. They showed me my front pads and my back dirty back breaks, they never showed me where the cylinders were actuly leaking and kinda rushed me out of the garage. They wanted to charge ~960 for parts and labor. I didnt feel right about their diagnoses, or their price. I called around and got some quotes. I found a local machanic in dunwoody (Wade auto) that said they would give me a free inspection and they were 80 dollers cheaper (to replace my front pads and rotors). They said that there was nothing wrong with my breaks at all and that my car was still on the orginal break pads it has been driven so litte, all i needed was new pads. They said my front rotors, rear cylcinders, drums and reast of the breaks were perfectly fine and in great condition. They just needed to be cleaned. I saved 700 by getting a second opinion and a lot of Time. Please inform yourself with all of your avalible options and never settle for a first opinion on anything. If you dont feel right or feel the price is to high dont be afraid to look elsewhere, its your car and your wallet.

MY SUCCESS STORY WITH HONEST-1: my AC stopped blowing cold air, and I brought my car first to some other shops that I doubt they even checked my car (and charged me around $100 just to supposedly "check"), and then claiming that I needed to basically change the whole AC system, and it would cost me around $1500 to do so. This didnt seem right to me, so I started looked around again for a hopefully honest shop to get a second opinion, until I found Honest-1 based on their superb online reviews and honesty philosophy (plus their claim of handpicking the best car mechanics around). I have no words to describe WHAT A GREAT DIFFERENCE they are! First of all, they were super courteous and nice, they were happily able to receive my car right away without the need of scheduling an appointment, I was not charged for the AC check-up, I was offered free drinks and snacks (and free wi-fi), they brought me back home in their shuttle service (I live 4 miles away), I was contacted back fairly quickly, and I was explained that I only needed new freon on the system... thats all, just freon! (just a very minimal reasonable fraction of $ from what other shops were asking for). They fixed it immediately (I have very cold air in my car again!), and I was also thoroughly explained about all the plan forward to make sure I dont have freon leaks and things alike. Im definitely sticking with Honest-1 for all my future car repairs. Thanks so much!!!
