To be employed by the USPS one had to take and successfully pass an exam. Is this still a requirement? This location has some of the most incompetent people working. They lack professionalism, they lack customer service skills and they lack the skill set needed to be successful on the job. Every month there seems to be a different courier on my route. He/she rushes through sorting or simply cant read b/c I get mail thats addressed to my neighbors all of the time. Ive had mail opened and taped back. Ive had mail sitting at my neighbors house for 2 weeks and I could go on and on. The most frustrating to this day would be that our mailboxes at the apartment complex have been falling apart since 2010. The boxes have been broken into, mail stolen and lost for the pass 6 months. USPS finally came out to replace them, but they are still not in working order! There is a sign posted for residents stating to go to the Abercorn Post Office to retrieve your mail, but when you go and ask for it they tell you they dont have any for you! Where is the mail for the residents that live at The Cobblestone Apartments in Georgetown? This is a HUGE issue! Residents are looking for time sensitive mail, bills and money! Identity theft is real! We need our mail and we need answers NOW!

I took a chance on this post office because it was closer to my new home than the one on Eisenhower. I took the reviews on here with a grain of salt and truly wish that I hadnt. The service here was awful. The only upside is that I didnt have to wait long, however the disrespect came shortly after. The woman (whose name I wish I had gotten) all but rolled her eyes at me when she called for the next customer. She made me tape up my husbands care package myself, which no other personnel had ever asked of me. She tried to tell me that my customs forms were wrong (hello, Ive done them several times and they were right), and she didnt know how to enter the overseas address for where my husband is deployed. I can only hope that he actually gets this package. I was made to feel small and like I was an intrusion on her time. Im really sorry that I was making her do the job that she gets paid for. If you do nothing else in your life, DO NOT GO HERE. 0/10 would not recommend. I will definitely be going back to the office on Eisenhower where Im treated with respect and my package is handled with the care it deserves.

Poor delivery. Lost packages that never went back to the sender. Too numerous to count the times delivery was supposed to be "delivered" and a note left in the box with no attempt. I check tracking numbers and know when to be home for a package delivery. Its inexcusable to simply stick a "delivery attempt" notice in a box without ever attempting delivery. Its also inexcusable for this to happen again and again and have to stand in long slow lines to get packages that should have been handed over to me. Ridiculous. Options were "poor-fair." Theres nothing even "fair" about this post office. *I get other peoples mail ALL the time. They acted completely disinterested when I tried to get that straightened out, so I just gave up. If they cant even try to be efficient, why is it my job to help them do theirs? Cannot WAIT to move out of this delivery area!

I have been to this post office about twice a week since I moved here 4 months ago and I must say it is always a pretty good experience. I even called once about an issue with previous residents at my address and they were super helpful on the phone which is unusual for a post office. People giving one and two stars must have never lived in a truly urban area because out of all the cities I have lived, this post office is one of the best. I have never had an experience with an employee that was anything less than nice. People need to calm down with their high expectations of people who work government jobs.

Terrible. I have had 3 packages now marked as "undeliverable". The tracking information said delivery was attempted at 2:30. I was home from 1:30 to 4 and nobody came to my apartment door. Also, the mailman obviously did not try to deliver because he instead left the notice in my mailbox across the apartment complex. Sometimes I dont even get the notice and the package ends up getting sent back. Im convinced the mailman is just lazy and doesnt even attempt to deliver the packages but instead gets everyone to drive to the post office to pick them up.

The WORST post office Ive ever had to deal with. If you have an option, stay as far away from this piss hole as possible. Ive been haggling with this office for two weeks about needing a key to get into a parcel box because the mail carrier didnt leave it in my mailbox. The customer service is piss poor as I stopped the mail carrier and asked if she could just open the box for me. She refused and said Id have to wait until she was at my mailbox. I left for a few minutes, came back, she made eye contact with me, and drove off.

On 3/14, I requested for my package to be left at my door and the postal worker refused. I made another set of arrangements for the package to be redelivered on 3/16 and it was never done. I called and spoke with someone who informed me that my package would be redelivered on 3/23 and it was never done. I wish that no stars was an option. The phone line is constantly busy therefore I am unable to get through to anyone. This is THE WORSE customer service imaginable. I just want my package!!!!!!

Tried three times to get a letter routed to a destination handled by this PO. and 3 times it came back with a different reason. Took a photo, emailed it to the intended recipient, and they took that to the PO and asked why it wasnt delivered. The address was correct, as was his name. No answer from them. Seems this branch needs some refresher training and Quality Control. Where is the Postmaster General when you need one? UNREAL !

Horrible service inside and out. Customer service representatives sighs very loudly as each customer enters the building. My packages are never delivered by postal worker and I have to chase them down the following day to see when I can pick them up. Also, my family moved and did a change of address. Well, for some strange reason my former neighbors mail is now being delivered across town with mine. This servicer really sucks.

I was expecting a package with signature confirmation, so I stayed home waiting the package. The mailman never showed up and decided to leave the note in my mailbox. To top it off, he noted the account stating that he came to my house and nobody was available to sign for the package which is a complete lie! Thats the 5th time this happened! Whats the point of paying extra to receive packages if youre going to do your FKING JOB!

dont call before hrs., whoever answers doesnt want to help. Couldnt get rid of me fast enough. Never passed on info to delivery person. Called at 10 and lady was great. Why isnt the online forward start and end enough,?? Why have a form online if the PO doesnt get it or doesnt see it.,,,,,not happy. Lost my meds last spring due to this, paid 100.00 for meds I never got and had to re-order.
