Whoever answered the phone on 3/14/17 is very rude. Viola was her name i believe. I asked why my tracking info stated acceptance by beaufort usps at 430am then at 730 it says it went back to georgia. She gave me a rude attitude and got even more rude when i asked why it went back. She said it hasnt even been accepted by beaufort. Then why does my tracking say it has been. Even amazon tracking says it has been accepted by carrier. Just rude and incappable of being nice. If you hate customer service that much go do another job somewhere else. Im sure the post master wont even care about the review. Everytime i get packages delivered to my address it always says undeliverable as addressed. Then magically i call and within the hour the carrier is redelievring the package. 4 times in the last month this has happened. Just lazy people and rude people.

Rude!! Wow. Refused to take a package because it was dated For the previous day ( they were closed that day). I took it back and pointed out that Ive shipped tons of items with labels marked 2, 3 and even 4 days earlier. The guy gave me a ration of **** telling me he was going to call all the postmasters in Savannah for taking late packages. I told him its not a problem, that Id get a new label and he continued to press "well let me just explain why." And wouldnt shut up about it. When I finally just said Id ship it UPS and walked away to avoid an argument he kept on pushing this nasty little attitude. I think its also worth mentioning that every time USPS has lost items on me its gone through this post office

Weve lived in Beaufort for a few years now, and the downtown Post Office has been great to us. Despite the sometimes-long lines for service, the staffers have been polite, friendly, and have helped us save the most on our postage. Its true that many of the staff have deep southern accents (which can be difficult to understand for those not accustomed to hearing them), but their information to us has always been correct. Our residential carrier also acted heroically when he was first on the scene of an auto accident in our neighborhood. He helped attempt to save a veterans life. Thats a person were proud to know.

The best post office Ive ever been to. Ive lived all over and make weekly post office trips for work. Every post office Ive used before has been the usual skit of grumpy employees, frustrating misleading information, and even missing packages. This post office is so different. The staff are always so sweet and friendly. If you need anything they take the time to help and do not make you feel like a bother. They were even making Donald duck voices for my 3 year old when she got antsy and had her smiling and giggling. I love making p.o. runs now!

They are inconsistent with their delivery times and unapologetic and even hostile to customer concerns about mail not being delivered, mis-delivered or even delivered days after it was supposed to be delivered. They are setting back advances in our country towards stopping racism by decades by being belligerent, under educated, and impossible to understand over the phone. I do not say this for any reason other than what others have said to me that were definitely not politically correct.

I have only lived in Beaufort for less than a year, but I love going to the post office on Charles St. The staff members are very friendly and efficient. Even when theres a long line of people waiting to send packages, everything moves along well. Its also a very convenient location with plenty of parking.

They "lost" one of my packages, and when I tried to talk to them about it they kept saying it was "on its way" for over a month. Also, they keep giving me the wrong mail. My number is clearly stated on both sides of my mail box, but I never get the correct number.

All the folks here have always been pleasant, efficient and professional. They have a new service for PO Box holders thats sends you a text or email when "youve got mail". Saves trips in from Ladys Island to an empty box.

I put in a stop mail for while we were on vacation. When we got home the mail box was full and some of it was wet. I did not put the stop mail on line, I did it from the main office in Beaufort. Thanks for nothing.
