I generally never leave reviews, however the consistent incompetence at this post office is mind boggling! I have had the displeasure of being stuck under them for 2 years now because of where I live. It all began with packages that were not received, which generally would be the worst thing that could happen...but wait...theres more! So not receiving packages became somewhat of an umbrella for an array of issues i.e. packages that were returned, wrongfully delivered, and/or damaged. I have had multiple packages returned to sender from the post office. Per the website, packages that were unsuccessfully delivered are held for a few days before being sent back to sender. Well thats not the case here! My packages have literally been sent back the very next day after delivery attempt! I have had multiple packages sent back because this location was unable to PRINT my entire address for the carrier so it ends up coming back as insufficient. How is this my fault again? ..but I get the attitude when I call as if it is. Now per the companies that I purchase items from, my entire address is not only on the confirmation emails but is also located on the tracking info through USPS website. How this continues to happen is beyond me. I now have a running total of 5 completely different excuses from this location as to why this happens..oh and heres the kicker...not one apology! FEDEX and UPS seem to not have this issue, nor any other USPS location for that matter. The carrier continues to refuse dropping off packages to my front office that has a secured mail room in my community and where they know me by name. Its ridiculous. I have filed a former complaint and will continue to research all avenues to complain until this location gets it together! Its not rocket science! You read a name, A FULL ADDRESS, and deliver! This is coming from someone who knows the internal process of the post office first hand! Do better!

Tired of people losing/stealing our packages. Obviously at fault of the postal carrier. Stop lying and marking packages as delivered when they are not. You mess with peoples hard earned money, then leave the phone off the hook so we cant resolve the issue. We shouldnt have to be reduced to trolling the Post Office on the internet, but at this point, theres no other option. Weve had so many packages go missing, Amazon has flagged our account, and refuses to refund us anymore. You sent us someone elses IRS bill. Really, you messed up an IRS mailing? Replace the Postmaster at this location with someone of competence. Our next step is to contact the Attorney General. For Shame. By the way. I dont appreciate threatening phone calls. If anything happens to me or my family, this is evidence of motive. ps. The first step is considering your community over yourself. Thousands of peoples well being and trust are on the line. Number 1 means nothing without respect. The way this office conducts business, leads one to believe the Post hates its community. Thats a Top-Down problem. Bad Management. One person caring more about a paycheck than the people shes sworn to serve.

I lived at the same address in Charlotte for a year and a half. Halfway through my living there the post office for my address was changed from the USPS Granite St location to the Quality Dr location (both off Westinghouse). Mail for the whole family was continuously misdelivered, they lost packages we sent out even though they were in UPPS Priority Mail boxes! They lost sent money orders and checks all of which had to be voided and sent from other post office locations. Now that Ive moved, my mail is not being forwarded and is still going to my old address more than a month later. Voicing concerns in the office didnt do anything. Filing formal complaints got some attention and the delivery worker asked me what the problem was, I informed them, then a week later they gave us all the mail for a house two houses down. And now that I have been in a new home I have received NO FORWARDED MAIL at all. With no resolution. While the former did destroy a few pieces of mail (one came back to me bent in half and covered in coffee), everything I sent or ordered came to the correct address. I just hate it for anyone still living in the area.

Worst customer service... just as all the other reviewers said. I would leave 0 stars for this specific office if that were an option. My visit to this office started at 8:45-- much after the opening time for the office-- I walked up to the counter where a man was standing and appeared to be working. He rolled his eyes and told me that he wasnt working yet and couldnt answer a question for me. The lady who walked up immediately after me was helped by him. He sent me to the door where a manager was standing talking to another employee who slammed the half door in my face. I rang the doorbell and the manager answered. I explained to her my problem and was told that there was nothing she could do about it. I had spoken to her 3 weeks earlier and she ensured me that my mail would be held by the carrier but she never passed the message on to the carrier. She then suggested that I use facebook to message my friends rather than waiting for mail. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL service.

We moved here from Virginia in June, we have had repeated problems with our mail which has prompted my wife and I to make numerous trips there: 1) our mail was not being delivered at all to our mailbox, but was being held. 2) the delivery person put our mail in the wrong box; which we found out that most of that was because they had subs delivering mail to our community. 3) we had packages where the large package key was left for us to get it out of the large package box but the package was never left in the actual bix. 4) now today we find out that they have been sending mail back saying that our mailbox is "undeliverable". I have lived in 5 states and over a dozen cities...the Steele Creek Post Office is by far the worst I have ever been subjected too. And in such a short amount time, is just mind numbing.

Worst. Customer. Service. Ever! I currently have a package that was marked delivered, THAT NEVER SHOWED UP AT MY DOOR OR IN MY MAILBOX. I have been living in 28273 for the past year. I have had the mailman take packages back to the station and never leave a notification in my box. So the package has sat at the station for a week waiting for me to pick it up. I have had counter workers at the station yell at me and tell me to get my mail from somewhere else. They cut you off when you try to speak. I have complained to managers and nothing has changed. I just got off the phone with one of the managers and I actually read her some of these complaints. This place is terrible. A direct reflection of the leadership. The USPS needs to be shut down if they dont want to do their jobs. I AM OVER THIS PLACE!
