I would very strongly recommend not using this company. My fiancé and I picked our venue, wedding dress, florist, dj and photographer on the first try. We are the complete opposite of high maintenance. We emailed a few caterers in order to find what works best for us. We heard back from most but the problem with this specific vendor is that we could not stop hearing from them. We were told, only by them, that we cannot waste any more time as our wedding is in only 9 months and that they are too busy and demanded that we meet in person and talk. The emails were very much passive aggressive and our contact decided for an unknown reason to CC our venue contact onto each email. When we finally announced that we are not interested in doing business with them, they yet again CCd the contact and also informed us that they feel uncomfortable talking with us through email (something that not a sinlge other vendor or business has had a problem with). As an adult and someone who works in marketing and communications, I have never in my life had an adult to adult business interaction that has been this painful and unprofessional. I strongly recommend that couples and overall people stay away from this company or at the very least away from Christina. Update: we are now being harassed with phone calls regarding this very honest review.

I am the director of a national conference for women. I work with a lot of caterers nation wide. Not only is North Island Catering one of the best I have ever worked with, they are hands down the best value in the business. When youre planning for 300 people, you need great food at a great price with excellent service. I got all three with Allen and his team. The food was great and the price was exactly what I needed, but there are not enough good things to say about Allens customer service. Hes a kind man with an interest in making the customer look good - and he did just that for me! Dont look anywhere else in Chicago - North Island is the right choice!

We had our daughters baptism with over 120 people and we have nothing but the best things to say about Allen and Chris and their service. It was the first big event we have organized since our wedding and they really made the whole process go so smoothly. We determined the menu and Allen was able to make suggestions based on whats fresh and available within our budget. Everyone loved the food and had a really great time. They were also able to take care of some final details that I had unfortunately overlooked and I am so thankful they did. Thank you for your help North Island Catering team! Allen and his team were phenomenal! There was great communication from the planning phase all the way to the end of our event. We hired them for 6 meals over 3 days and they delivered quality every time. Allen and his entire team were dedicated and always wanted to be sure that we were satisfied. We had challenges with feeding 250 people, but Allen and his team were up to the task to discover new ways and make sure everyone had a positive experience. North Island Catering has yet to disappoint. Having used them many times for special events for a 501c3 nonprofit, their food is always delicious. Allen, the owner, works closely with our staff to ensure that the experience is as positive as possible. As a nonprofit we are always within a tight budget, their willingness to work within our budget while still providing quality an an abundance of food is exceptional. They are a 5+ star company for excellent customer service and quality of food!

We used North Island for an office lunch and everyone was so happy and commented on how delicious and fresh everything was. We went with the taco bar, and Allen set everything up swiftly courteously. I felt the price was extremely reasonable as well. I always prefer to support a local family business over a large corporation whenever possible, and I would absolutely use North Island again in the future.
