December 2014 - I brought my SUV in for a whole list of repairs. It took a couple days longer to repair the car than we originally thought. (It was the middle of winter and a huge snowstorm hit, leaving them short-staffed.) Even so, I felt the time needed to complete all the repairs was reasonable. The work was decent, the customer care was excellent, and the were prices average for everything except the tires. In the future, I will probably get my new tires from a company that specializes in them I needed 5 tires (including the spare), and I was charged $275 each for General brand all-seasons, which were way over-priced for what I got because they are really noisy on the highway whenever I go above 60...which is always. (I log a lot of highway miles for work, so I may have to replace these prematurely because of the noise.) I could have gotten higher-quality all season name-brand tires that are speed rated for about $30 less/each from a place a few miles down the road, and even cheaper at Sams. May 2015 Update - both seals I had replaced have blown. The alignment and tires are still good, but Im pretty disappointed that the transmission and oil seal only lasted 6 months. (The transmission seal blew on the Tollway and I had to get towed because all my transmission fluid leaked out.) We moved to another state in January, so bringing it back to have them re-do it is out of the question; Ill be eating the cost to have it re-done by a local mechanic. Needless to say, Im less-than-thrilled.

I took my olds alero their about a week ago when it stopped on the express way . My moms boyfirend has taken his cars there so i thought it would be fine oh i was wrong. They called him back saying i needed a fuel fillter and that it was going to be $400 for the part when i got this fixed a year ago with my other car and in total it cost me $400 . So i called autozone,carquest, and Napa the highest price I found for the part was $270.00 and at auto zone and carquest it was $249.99 !!!!! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM AND I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAR BACK . In the end they let me buy a part from Autozone and said they would fix it for $178.00 and then charged $198,00 and swore they never said 178.00 like I just made it up or somthing do not take your car here.

Dropped off car with a TYPED list of items to repair. Said they could have my car for 3 days. After a call everyday for 3 days, 3rd day they went over the list and priced parts. Getting car after 4th day!!!! 50% increase in prices of what Napa online charges from where they stated they get parts. Also more was "broken" on my car outside my list which means they looked at the car, (most likely not and made up stuff) and didnt complie any prices until the 3 day!!!!! . I wont be surprised if items they said were broke are now broke after getting the car back that I know were in working order or had no symptoms of being broke. Total scammers!!! NEVER AGAIN with them. Will follow up when I get the car back.

I have an 89 Mustang LX 5.0, that was not shifting correctly. I called and spoke with Jeff...after calling several trans shops. Everyone else had told me that I needed a rebuild, which would be costly. Over the phone, Jeff was able to diagnose the actual problem and offered a solution. I brought my car in, his diagnosis was correct, he fixed it on the spot and only asked for 5.00! You do not find this level of tallent or honesty these days! Auto Tech will get all of my business from this point on!

Brought my 1950 Buick in for brake work. Got it back and manual transmission would not go into second gear. A young guy who professed to not knowing much about adjusting linkages gave it his best shot. Real nice guy. Driving it home would only go into second 15% of the time causing many problems. Very dissatisfied at this point since the car shifted fine when brought in. Taking it back Monday. I will post another review whether or not they fixed the problem.

I have been waiting for a jeep soft top to be installed for months. There was an issue with the parts ordered. Johnny the desk guy has the worst customer service I have ever seen before. He will hang up on your. All after making excuses as to why the job is not completed and place the blame on the customer. The job was paid in full and still not completed. I wouldnt recommend this company as long as this guy works there.

I have been doing business with Auto tech in Bolingbrook for years. They have worked on all my vehicles including my motorhome, and have always done a first class job for me! Brian went out of his way to correct a problem, and was even willing to work in the rain to fix it, but I wouldnt let him! Got it fixed when the rain stopped. Great customer service, nice people to deal with, five stars all day!

I have used Auto Tech and Transmission for many years for all of my vehicles including our RV. The guys have always done a great job and take ownership of any issues that come up. Had an alternator replaced that failed later and they warrantied the replacement with no fuss. I highly recommend Auto Tech and Trans for any repairs you may need.

This place is awesome. Fair and honest service is all I ever get from these guys. Half the time I have been there they would offer advice on how i can fix it myself to save money and time. I cant speak for why some others have had problems, but for my experience I wouldnt go anywhere else unless I had to.

We have taken at least 5 different cars here over the last 10-15 years. Everyone has always been friendly and given us great service and been honest with us. I recommend these guys to anyone who needs work done on their car.

If you want to leave your vehicle for 5 day, twice in 10 days..pay over $500.00 and still not right..this is the place..called them and asked why it cant be done right...and was asked what needed fixed...really...

i bring all my vehicles here for service. they fix it right the first time for a reasonable price. just as important is the fact that i dont drive away wondering if i got ripped off.
