I went there a couple time and every time I got treated very rudely and ended up not giving them my business. First time I needed to get the error codes pulled from my car (and then get them to fix it if it would not be more expensive than the value of the car). I was expecting that to go smoothly since they advertise pulling the error codes for free (it takes them 1 minute and just requires plugging an handheld computer to the car) and other Meineke had already done it for me in the past few years. However the manager got very rude about it and requested I would make an appointment for next week despite me being the only customer in the store at that time... I simply ended up going to the next Meineke down the street where they pulled the codes for me in a minute and for free. The second time I tried using this Meineke, I needed to get my the oil pressure switch replaced (no diagnostic needed). The manager quoted me "at least $270, if there is nothing else to be replaced" (which was $170 for the part and $100 for labor). Finding that a bit steep, I went to the dealership 4 miles away, bought the part for $22 (was $17 online but did not want to wait...) and came back to Meineke, ready to spend $100 to have them install the part. The manager agreed to do it, but still for $270 despite the fact I was providing the part...!!! Once again I ran away, went next door to Car X, where they replaced the part for me in 15 minutes and did not charged me anything since they found replacing the part so trivial! No need to tell you I am strongly discouraging you to bring your business to this Meineke!! If you go there regardless of this recommendation I suggest you make sure that the quote you get is in line with the kind of work they will do to your vehicle... J.

I was a manager for this location, the owner Fred is a crook, he actually owns both locations in Naperville on East ogden and west ogden. Let me tell you why you should stay away from this place. This man Fred cares nothing about your car and more about your money. For the 3 months I managed this 1032 e ogden location we were told that when a customer asks for a synthetic oil change to bill them out for it and put a synthetic blend oil in the vehicle. This is the only oil that the two locations in Naperville have, a synthetic blend, not full synthetic nor conventional oil. Also if youre vehicle takes one of those new paper cartridge filters I hope you werent expecting that to be changed cause this was another thing advised by the owner that we would charge you for but not change. I felt guilty doing these things to peoples investments(vehicles), at the time I needed a job and thought I could make a change at this meineke. To add the icing on the cake, as a tech in the automotive field all shops work on a standard rate to charge people, its called "book time" well like everything else at these meinekes that doesnt apply, he will charge you what he wants and half the time is not even what needs to be repaired on your vehicle. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT BOTH MEINEKES IN NAPERVILLE ARE OWNED BY FRED ZALA, EITHER LOCATION WILL FIND A WAY TO SCREW YOU OVER!

Do not use this company. They are completely unprofessional. Our car was supposed to be ready the following afternoon but was not. did they bother to contact us? No. Then it was supposed to be ready the next day by 5pm. My wife went by to pick up the car and was told it would be another 15 mins or so. An hour and a half later they finally told her it wouldnt be ready until the following day. Gee thanks. Then the two seedy looking mechanics tried to convince her to let them give her a ride home. Yeah right. The next day my wife contacted meineke to make sure it would actually be ready this time so as not waste more of our precious time. Only instead of apologizing for the delay she was screamed at by the mechanic who tried to convince her it was our fault that the repairs took so long. Needless to say we will not be giving meineke any more of our business and have already contacted the better business bureau as well as meineke corporate.

They fixed our muffler after haggling a bit over the price and me threatening to bring it to another shop that offered me a better price. I was happy with the repair and the price at the time. However, within a week, we developed a leak in our transmission, and power steering. NEVER had issues with those things before. Brought the car to a different place for those repairs and they said in addition to those issues, one of our hoses was clean cut, like with a knife or scissors, not wear and tear. We obviously cannot prove anything, but it sure feels like there was sabatage. We will NEVER go back and I will scream from the rooftops to avoid this place to everyone I know.

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE A PLAGUE... They diagnosed my car gave me an estimate; then in the evening he tells me the price twice the diagnosed amount. The next day when I go to pickup my car, he gives me the bill of $100 more. And when I test my car after the repair is done... he threatens me to call the cops if I take the car out of their place... SERVICE SUCKS, no timely delivery, NO HONESTY... I learned my lesson hard way... but never ever will I step in here again...

We were in the area visiting family and noticed the car making a strange thumping sound. A mechanic at Meineke drove it, thought it sounded like a drive shaft problem and took a good look at it. Turns out it was just a loose lugnut on one of the tires and were charged nothing for their troubles! Very nice people, a great relief to find it wasnt a $1,000 problem, and were very happy we can continue our travels.

i am new to Lisle & visited Meineke for a broken exhaust & oil change issue. Mr Erik proposed a long term solution for the exhaust and a short term workaround as an alternate. Mr Erik understands and values customers requirements The Oil Change and the over all inspection was completed and observations on the vehicle were reported. Very Honest & High on Customer Service

Twice they diagnosed a front end problem as bad rotors, then a bad tie-rod and 2 years later they figured out it was a control arm and tie-rod. Then, in addition to all the wasted effort on the rotors, they charged me more than $400 more than I expected. They will promise you anything.
