There are few things as rare in this world as an honest and caring auto repair shop. Howard Auto Body & Repair is that shop. Antonio Espinoza is the owner. He is also the first person you will shake hands with then you walk in the door. I will send anyone I know to Howard Auto Body & Repair with the comfort of knowing that Antonio will treat them as though they were part of his family. My first estimate was at Midas on Grand Ave. downtown. They quoted me $2400 to fix my 1992 vehicle. After I left there, I felt my car was in far worse condition than when I dropped it off. I then took it to Fair Muffler and Repair on Broadway in Rogers Park. His first quote was $300. When I agreed, he said “well, maybe up to $400, let me look up the parts.” When he came back, the quote was $900. I left and stopped by home to look online for shops. When I got back down to my car 20 minutes later, my brakes had bled out. Until that moment I had no problems with my brakes. While it may have been one heck of a coincidence, I couldn’t help but feel as though they had messed with my car. I drove it with almost no brakes to Howard Auto Body & Repair. My friend had recommended me to them. Antonio saw that I was very stressed out and upset over the days events. He took a lot of time out of his day to explain everything to me in full detail. He took me in the shop, showed me what was wrong, explained how the parts work. He took the time to calm me down, and make me feel very comfortable with leaving my car there with him. They did the work in the same day, staying late after hours to explain the work that they had done. Antonio went the extra mile, and then some. I honestly felt as though he was treating me the same way that he would his family. I know what most people in this industry are like. I have a very good judge of character. Antonio’s bottom line is not about large profits, his biggest concern is customer service and customer perception. Sitting on the comfortable couch watching television as they worked past hours to finish the job, I listened to Antonio talk to his employees. How people treat the people that work for them is a very good gauge to measure character. Antonio talked to this young man as though he was his son. It was then that I was sure I had found a diamond in the rough. An honest and caring auto repair shop that you can trust.

These guys are the best!I wish we could give 10 stars. We bought our car used a Hummer h3. The dealership screwed us over and it had it problems. We took it several times to the dealer and they nebwr fixed the mess they sold us.I woke one morning to my car dead. So out of panic my husband called them.They were up front the whole time about price and time.They towed it and spent a few days fixing it as the problem was hard to detect. Yet because they took the time. It actually got fixed and for far less then we ever spent at the dealership.They also kept it for the whole day and drove it and to make sure everything was spot on. Something the didnt have to do at all but yet they went the extra mile to make sure I would not end up with a dead car again.We will never take it back to the dealer and have an extended warrantee there.I trust these guys. We plan on staying in Evanston a while and they have won us over for life.I was reading threw how others talked about how they felt like they were being treated like family and thats how we felt.I feel so much better knowing that they are there to fix anything.Thank you so much for your awesome work!!!

This place is the best! This was my second experience here at howard auto body. The first time they fixed my side mirror on my Galant. That was a few years back. I recently got into an accident (not my fault) with my honda cr-z so i thought Id give them another try. Super friendly and helpful staff. I had yet to deal with the other persons insurance company, and Frankie, one of the people that works there took it upon himself to explain to me how the insurance process works and even called them for me! He helped me hash out all the details with the insurance company and get everything squared away so they could start working on my car. They did a great job again this time fixing our bumper and lights. The crew here went above and beyond what I was expecting. They even washed my car! Knowledgeable, friendly, and reliable. Definitely recommend this place, especially if youve been in an accident and dont know how to deal with insurance, these guys will lead you in the right direction.

Howard Auto Body Shop saved my baby Jenny (Jeep Cherokee). I had a small collision on a rainy night and I didnt know where to go. I was recommended this shop by one of my best friends as he raved about what a great job they did for him. I originally spoke to Tony (The Owner) on the phone and explain what I needed. He right away told me to bring Jenny in and when he saw what was needed he made his recommendations. He totally put me at ease about the whole process. To make a long story short Howards Auto show is all about their customers. They want to make sure you are 100% pleased with work so they do all possible. Staff is great and friendly. This is a family owned business and they are all so professional. They have a customer for life. I have and will recommend my friends to them if they need any body work or car work period. Thanks Howard Auto Team!!!!!

They do an amazing job here! I had hail damage and they worked really hard with the insurance company to get my vehicle done as fast as they could and they did an excellent job! My car looks brand new from their paint job and the quality of the work is exceptional!. My car was detailed inside out and it was 10x cleaner than when i brought it in!. The customer service is exceptional. They picked me up from the red train stop and stayed late so i can get my car. They made sure I was happy and satisfied with their work and even touched up my broken bumper and an oil change for free! Would recommend this place to everyone. They have auto body service as well as mechanic service. Its really far up north but its worth the drive.

My vehicle wouldnt start one morning so I had it towed to Howard Auto Body. They said the problem was a bad fuel pump. After the repairs were made, the bill paid, and assurances the vehicle was running fine... the vehicle was back at the shop within an hour. They told me there was a big problem with oil compression and the engine would have to be replaced. I couldnt believe my ears. I asked Antonio the owner how something as significant as this could be missed during the initial inspection, and before I paid for the other repairs... he tried to explain and said that fixing cars is a process. With Howard Auto I think that the process he was talking about is how much money we can squeeze out of the customer. Avoid this shop!
