Superb. I think that’s the best way I can describe my experience with Prodigy Teks. When I inquired about my dinosaur Macbook (unibody late 2008 aluminum) my MacBook began to slow down. I would try not to save anything on there to keep it at a decent speed. I could not upgrade from Snow Leopard iOS without affecting the memory and possible glitches. So trusting that Prodigy teks would help me, I had the convenience of the drop off service and hoped for the best. So, my macbook is running like new. I am ecstatic that I do not have to purchase a new one anytime soon and can continue to load programs like Indesign, Photoshop and Premiere with NO LAG time between functions and still play Spotify music at the same time. I can now facetime, iMessage and text non-iphone users from my macbook which is a current feature of the newer macbooks. I am on one of the most current iOS for my macbook and running faster than before. I could not recommend Prodigy Teks enough. I am sure that they faced a great challenge when they met my Macbook but am glad they did not give me the run around, did not say “no, theres nothing we can do” and instead were able to extend the life of my macbook for an extremely reasonable price.

I am very happy with the quality of ProdigyTeks service! My laptop had a damaged HDD and I was not able to recover any data by myself. PridigyTeks specialists did recover all the data and none of it was damaged! They also changed failed HDD for a new SSD. I was very pleased when they took my suggestion regarding new SSD and installed the one I picked. They also reinstalled Windows 8.1 and put all drivers needed which saved a lot of time for me. But what is most amazing is the price for the whole service! They gave me 50$ student discount so it was even more affordable! If you are looking for data recovery, windows reinstallation, new hardware and great service with all mentioned being less than $250 then ProdigyTeks is your choice!

I recently called ProdigyTeks because I had a terrible virus on my laptop that I use daily when I work from home. I was unable to do anything on it. I called ProdigyTeks and spoke with Paco about my issue. He assured me that he was confident they would be able to repair the laptop and restore all of my files. That same day, I was able to drop off my laptop and by the very next day it was as good as new! He was able to restore all of my work files, pictures of my children and it worked faster than before. When I had an issue connecting my external hard drive to a new computer Paco came to the rescue! For months I had worried I had lost hundreds of family photos and videos but no one I reached out to seemed to have an answer. I called Paco and used his services for my boyfriends computer. He was able to unlock the computer because we didnt know what the password was. He was able to add all types of programs and even added more memory to get the computer to work properly. I have used Pacos services for a few years now and he is the only person I allow to work on anything to do with computers. He was able to reset my computer and get it working for me the way it was. It is great to have a company in the city that will come out to you if you cannot make it to them. I highly would recommend using this company for any computer issues.

Living in Chicago, sometimes you get lost in the big city feel and forget about the small businesses that made this city what it is today. Normally, I am not one to leave a review, but this is a must. As a graduate student, I rely on my laptop EVERYDAY. Just my luck, the day that I have a final paper/project due, my computer decided to get stuck on the lock screen and I couldnt get past it. I gave ProdigyTeks a call hoping they could give me an appointment and was actually helped right over the phone. Its very rare to find customer service like this in 2013, and I would highly recommend it.

A deception is what it is. This is not even a real business location. They rented a space off some host and make it a drop off location. When asked to meet with computer repair shop owner for repair analyze, reception have to make a call and patch me the phone, and even the estimated turn around time is disappointing, 5 to 7 days. That reception clerk said this is a common practice in the city, people just "rent" a title with them for business address. As everyone knows the cost of parking in downtown Chicago is horrible, dont waste your time to go here, its just a drop off location.
