Ive been through a lot in life. I consider myself a strong person. That said.......I would personally like to congratulate the Deerfield, IL POST OFFICE for bringing a man to his knees over a Passport application! I have never, in my life, been treated so badly by anyone, anywhere! Apparently Postal workers are one in the same, as it took two more stops before someone decided to help me.........by referring me to somewhere other than a Post Office. I landed at Vernon Township, they were gracious, friendly, interested. My photo had to be retaken (because Deerfield POST OFFICE damaged the original two!). They even got me to smile under the stress. I was done in under 15 minutes. KUDOS! My passport is on its way! AND DEERFIELD POST OFFICE You suck beyond words. As it turns out,

We had to get a PO box to actually receive our mail consistently. We frequently received other peoples mail at home, and this wasnt remedied despite written and in-person complaints. Mail that was sent to us would be returned to the senders despite using them using the correct address, the same address that was on all of the mail we did receive. Ive never experienced that problem anywhere else. Since switching to a PO box, we havent had these problems anymore, which suggests to me that it was purely an issue with the carrier---but one that management failed to address. In the post office, employees have always been helpful otherwise.

Like a lot of post offices, depends who you get. Theres usually long lines here, but some staff are super helpful and some do nothing to help the stereotypes about postal employees. Everything Ive send from here so far has made it to the destination, so theres that.

Best Post Office I have ever visited, all employees have great attitudes. They must love working for the Post Office because they always have a smile on their faces when dealing with customers.
