Just had an awesome experience here. Came in late on a Saturday afternoon with what I thought was a minor issue that I needed to get fixed quickly in time for a road trip. Meineke quickly figured out that the issue I was concerned about wasnt actually causing the symptoms I was observing. At that point, they could have easily cheated me and sold me an expensive fix (that most places would have recommended). Or they could have just made some reasonable assumptions about the issue and do the repair that would work 99% of the time. Instead, they kept at it and managed to actually track down the problem to what was an unlikely source (even in retrospect not at all obvious) - and then worked super hard on a creative fix to get us on the road that same day, which meant we were able to leave for our trip on time! For all of this work, they charged a rate that was more than fair. Overall, a really outstanding customer service experience - I would not hesitate to bring my car back here for service or repairs!

I pulled up the other night when my PSI reading was low and without skipping a beat, the tech hopped over the chains and started filling my tires. This is only my 2nd time here and he remembered me as if I came by yesterday. I was very impressed. My oil indicator light was on and I asked what the price would cost to fix. The tech told me he doesnt do quotes as he is just a mechanic but that he would be happy to send me a quote if I provide him my contact info. He sent me the quote as promised and it was cheaper than the other place Ive been going. I made an appointment and brought my vehicle in this morning. The staff is some of the friendliest Ive experienced. They seem to really care about saving you money while making sure your car is taken care of. Very impressed by this place and so glad they are conveniently located.

If you stop by this location and they tell you that you need a major repair, make sure you go somewhere else for a second opinion. We were traveling to Chicago when our air conditioner quit blowing cold air. We stopped at this Meineke location (Downers Grove, IL) to have it looked at. After their "free" A/C check we were then charged a physical inspection fee. We were told that the compressor was completely shot and it HAD to be replaced. Fortunately we did not have enough time to wait for this service because after driving back to Nebraska in 95 degree heat with no air conditioning our dealer let us know that the only problem with the A/C system was one leaking hose, and not a $1000 compressor. GET A SECOND OPINION.

This is the only place I will have my car serviced. Ed Mosca, the owner, was honest, took me without an appointment, fixed my car while I waited and showed me the work that was done. This is after I had been to a car dealership, who recommended. More work after they had "fixed it" less than a week before, and recommended I buy a new car. After Ed took care of me, my car is purring and running like new. It is refreshing to meet an honest person performing excellent service to customers and to their car. I highly recommend Ed Mosca in Downers Grove at Meineke.. Thank you.

All the guys at Meineke in Downers Grove who work here are great! Great customer service! The guy at the front desk is kind and welcoming. He explains everything very nice and clear for me to understand. Well, I do ask him a lot of questions and he did not seem annoyed at all. Also, the other man thats fixing my car was very observant. He checked all over my vehicle and told me about my windshield wiper problem. nice! These guys are all hands down great people and know what they are doing!

We wasted almost 2 hours for a break estimate and when he was finally done it was almost 600 dollars. He said since we were waiting so long he would be generous and give it to us for 550 dollars (after he quoted us around 300-400 on the phone). We said no thanks and went to the Meineke in Lombard where they only charged us 330 dollars out the door for the same service and parts!!! Please shop around before you waste your time here!!!

Paid over a thousand dollars to get my car fixed and boy!, Ive been calling and setting up appoinments so they can fix my car the way it should be a year ago. I wasted my time and money on this shop. The manager doesnt even want to talk to you about several issues that they need to fixed. All he care about is get your $$$$$ so he can impress his boss (owner). Thats bad!

First off, theyre open on Saturdays! We would have been spending the rest of our road trip with no AC in the middle of August. They helped us quickly, gave us a great price, and had great customer service. Very friendly and privately owned. Would definitely return if we were back in Downers Grove and had car trouble.

Went in for a free oil change on Veterans that they offered Vets and nothing but awesome experience! They had a friendly staff that went above and beyond to ensure it was an awesome Veterans Day! Was able to get a much needed oil change that I was intending to put off till later, and the service was great!

Jeff the manager took great care of us. We got a serpentine belt replaced 4 months back and it frayed. They stayed late to make sure it was done properly for us! Would be 5 stars if they didnt keep banker hours.
