NOT WORTH THE $$$ I went to Elgin carwash thinking it would be a noticeable difference from your typical gas station/3$ car wash ,Im ok with paying a extra when it comes to quality and tipping accordingly however I was entirely wrong. I paid for the works carwash __ The Works $19.50, 22.50 with hand scrubbed wheels Traditional Wash (Traditional includes Interior Vacuuming, General Wipe Down of Dash and Door Panels, Fresh Water Machine Wash, Hand dry at $11.5). ... With (4) Floor Mats Shampooed, (3) Coats of Simoniz ULTRA SHine wax, Simoniz Clear Coat Sealer Underbody Cleaner and Rust Inhibitor, Tire Dressing The Works PLUS Add Hand Scrub Rims ^^^STRAIGHT FROM THE WEBSITE^^^ I paid the extra for the hand scrubbed wheels at a total of 22.50, because I have after market wheels and I wanted them to look nice. Upon returning to my vehicle I was sooo disappointed the floor mats were barley wiped the "HAND SCRUBBED WHEELS" looked like they hadnt even been washed let alone "HAND SCRUBBED" there was still dust and a sticky spot left of the dash. Not even sure if the interior was vacuumed because it was fairly clean when I brought it there. Still dirt and salt spots on the exterior. So long story short I planned on giving some elgin car wash gift cards for xmas and possible bringing my other vehicles there in the future. Wow was I wrong. After this experience I wouldnt go back with someone elses money. Unfortunately I was VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED..

We had our SUV detailed at Elgin Car Wash in October 2007, but found the car damaged when we went to pick it up. They had removed paint from the running boards when trying to remove a shoe scuff (they said they had mixed gasoline and some other chemicals and then buffed it, but it went right through the paint). They also ground thru the paint and plastic on the drivers side mirror with the edge of the rotary buffer. They apologized and tried to fix it. They did okay on the mirror, but they used the wrong color paint on the running boards. The owner was very unpleasant to deal with and was unresponsive to trying to resolve the problem (multiple visits required, did not return calls, kept you waiting for long periods of time, etc.). I would not recommend Elgin Car Wash to anyone based on our experience - poor quality and service.

Charging more & providing less at a slower pace. They used to be very good, but have gone down hill since the change of ownership. There are new charges for the (not previously under priced) car wash. It appears they have cut staff. And, some of the washing products that were previously included with a given wash are no longer being used. They didnt change the menu, you can see soap not being applied where it used to(over the past 4 years). Most recently, when i arrived, well after they opened the door was down. I called and was told they were open, but understaffed and would open the door momentarily. After an 8 minute wait I left. Im guessing theyre counting on the fact that theyre the only wash in the area keeping people coming in. But, I would suggest leaving the car dirty or driving someplace else, youll be much happier.

My first trip here since the new owners, and what a horrible experience. I paid $15 for a car wash which I paid additional for the white wall tires to be cleaned. Three of the four white walls tires were moderately cleaned with one being left dirty. I watched as the car went through the wash and did not see one drop of soap just clear water. The guys who dried the car off never even touch wiping off the door jams. To add insult to injury I took a while being the 3rd of 4 cars there. Nobody knew what they were doing. The new owner seemed disconnected and preoccupied with something other than running a car wash. I used to get my car detailed at this place but Im not taking the chance. Would definitely not recommend taking your car here.

Place was horrible.... I spent 27.50 bucks on the best package and it sucked first they clean my chrome rims with there dirty a%# rag so my wheels have nasty looking streaks. Than for "the best" package I expect at least the cup holders/center console to be wiped but nope still dirty... And the mats were supposedly clean but there still wet and DIRTY...Just a sucky place I knew I should of stuck the the car wash in Cville you pay $15 get a 5 day rain guarantee... And you get free vacuums you got to do it yourself but damn way better than this place... Ill post pics

Desides to give them a second chance because of the improvements being made to the exterior. And the lady at the counter said "theyll fix anything you find wrong". But I shouldnt find things this obvious. Like fingers from gps, still on the windshield, right side upper corner of windshield still dirty, cup holders still have crap in them, back door jams not cleaned. Left without tipping. And I shouldnt have to call them back to fix it.

I took my dads pick up truck to get just the outside clean. He had a rubber band closing the hood of the pickup back part because he had his construction tools there. When done, we stopped about half a mile from there because the hood opened up and we noticed that the band was cut and two of his tools were stolen. When we turned around and demanded his tools back they had the audacity to kick us out.

The new owners are horrible business people. They are very short-term focus and not customer friendly at all. They refuse to honor the packages bought under the previous owners. I had to explain to them that when they buy a business, they buy the entire book of business including debts and obligations. Safe to say I will no longer go to this car wash and neither should you.

BEST PLACE EVER! Im beyond happy with this place, the customer service and job performed was phenomenal! Honestly, I dont understand where the previous bad comments are coming from because they do an AMAZING JOB! Best detail Ive ever seen, my car looks brand new! Already started to recommend to friends & family! :)

This place is horrible, I came in and ask for a hand care wash and they still wanted to put my car threw the Machines. So I had to get out and tell them again when my car was done I still see a lot of soap mark everywhere worst car wash I ever been too waste of 30 buck never again!!

New owners have no clue how to treat people! This business was built by reputation...the reputations been quality and its no longer that! Its now your everyday, basic, lower than average wash!! Better off spending 5/6$ at any gas station....sadly

Worst wash ever. I still have bugs on my windshield even after the guy redid them. Paid for a tire shine and they acted as if annoyed to put it on after they forgot. Not sure who these new owners are but I will not be back. Thanks but no thanks.

Been getting car washed here for a long time now new owner wont honor the car wash punch card I have two of! Very bad way of continuing business plan. I have 200.00 in paid value that is useless. I will be washing cars some other place now....
