I had to bring my vehicle back to this Midas because the service they performed about a year earlier was done incompetently, and needed to be reworked. (According to another service shop that examined my vehicle.) I wish I had never gone back. An employee left the premises with my vehicle and was gone for an inordinate amount of time. (Which was totally unnecessary to start with - I told them exactly what the other shop said. All they needed to do was a visual examination.) When he finally returns, he starts to pull into a stall, then backs up to pull into a different stall, and hits another vehicle with mine. I am sitting on the outside bench, 30 feet away, watching the whole thing. When I run over and tell the guy he just hit another vehicle, he denies it. I head to the entrance of the shop, and I have to yell at the manager 3 or 4 times to get her attention because she is looking at something with another employee. The manager says I didnt see anything because I was on my phone (a lie - I was not on my phone, I was watching the employee and my vehicle from the second he pulled back in) and that she was watching the whole thing and it didnt happen (another lie because she was totally engrossed in something else at the time, proved by the fact that I had difficulty getting her attention right after it happened). I ended up calling the police to file a report. Fortunately there was not much damage. Just some marks on my bumper. But I could not believe how I was treated. They blatantly lied to me while they accused me of lying. Why would I make wild accusations for no reason? It was unbelievable. The icing on the cake was that it turned out the other vehicle belonged to another Midas employee. When the cop shows up and collects information on the involved parties, turns out the employee was some kind of criminal with a warrant out for his arrest. Nice. Bottom line - I will never go back there and I would advise no one else go there. But now I have to find another Midas to see if they will correct the problem from the poor workmanship I received at this location to start with. Too bad I cant give it zero stars.

i have a 2010 caddy CTS i took for an oil change . The staff were really nice ppl but the work was not great .. after having my car back and driving it over the span of about 25 days or so I started to hear some noise and just yesterday my check engine light came on. I look at my oil dip stick and I have nothing in the oil pan.. i called in to have my car looked at and the staff told me to bring it in. They lift my car and lord behold my car had tons of oils all over the bottom of my car !!! They did not put my car together right and I am the one that is going to have to maintain my car more often due to there mistakes. My lawyer was there too to here there statements so we will just go from here.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I havent been here in a while and years ago the customer service wasnt the worst but it wasnt the best. Another customer received an expensive quote that he couldnt afford, I sat here and watched Billy and Sarah not only found a way to get him a cheaper quote (by only performing necessary work) but gave him a ride back to the mall and informed him they would pick him up when the work was completed. When it was my turn, they simply took the heat shield off, explained why I could go without it and pointed out other worked suggested for FREE! The customer service was simply amazing! Billy, Archie and Sarah provided friendly smiles and GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Had my brakes fixed here. Had to return TWICE because parts were left loose and caused horrible rattles. Even though I had recently gotten new brakes on my other car (somewhere else), since i was up there i figured id have them take a look because i had a very slight squeek in the brakes. They told me it was the brake hoses. I decided to wait and go somewhere else because of the issues with the first vehicle.... Well when I came to pick up the second car, the brakes were entirely gone, nothing like when i had brought it in. Cant prove it, but you can guess what Im thinking they did since the brakes were new and didnt need replacing. Do not go here...

This is a bait and switch operation. I took my truck in for a muffler. They said it needed all kinds of other work also. They gave me an itemized estimate for the muffler and the other work. I told them I just wanted the muffler. When I got the bill the muffler was suddenly much more expensive than the estimate. They said that original estimate was only good if I had all the other work done also. I pointed out that this was illegal by Illinois state law but they stood by their unethical and illegal policy. I had to jump through hoops with the credit card company to have the charges reduced to the original estimate.

My wife called Midas and was impressed with Billys patience and professional attitude. She said Billy listened to her and made her feel like a valued customer even though we hadnt been to Midas in years. She dropped off the car and Midas gave her a ride home. She raved about the professionalism of Midas staff. When we went to pick the car up I was just as impressed! Midas gave us a complimentary oil change and fixed a problem with the remote start. It only took a few minutes and the total was much less than the estimate! We have four cars to maintain and will definitely be back!!

I had an awful experience at Midas. The Fairview Heights store had no idea how to fix my car. A timing chain repair ended up costing me 14 days without my car when it should have only taken 1.5. The general manager was rude to me. I ended up having to take my car to the dealership to be repaired. They took photos as proof of all the mistakes Midas made on my car, causing my car to break down repeatedly with my toddler in it. Very unsafe and I would never take my car back there

Called for an appointment after I got a quote the previous day. The phone was answered by a "Debbie". She put me on extended hold, then came back and told me to call all another line and then hung up on me. When I called her back she made an excuse of needing the phone line because some "old lady" was screaming at her and denied hanging up. Debbie was rude and unprofessional, not fit to be a counter person anywhere. If this is the Midas way, I will walk elsewhere from now on.

Didnt put oil cap back on engine. Blew oil . Brought it back to them. They didnt refill the oil. Motor blew after leaving the and the manager is twisting words and saying that its not their fault. We had a bad motor. Took it to minekie the month before and had oil change and it was just fine. Threaten to call cops. Called corporate waiting on a response back. Manager called again trying to get us to pay them to fix it.
