My wife works about two blocks from the Firestone on Bloomingdale RD Glendale Heights and unfortunately when leaving work discovered she had a flat tire. Because she was in a hurry on her way to night school, she stopped and asked if she could pay to have someone put on her spare (figuring she would have me handle a permanent fix later). An employee named Sal told her he could not help her and that she must buy a replacement. He never even offered the option to patch the tire and then before even inspecting the car, proceeded to quote her 2 front (high performance) replacement tires along with an alignment she did not need. He did not itemized anything before hand and told her the price would be $360 and included a "free alignment" when actually he just rolled everything into a single number to show her and lead her to believe this was her only choice (The store carries several less expensive and suitable tires for her Ford Focus). My wife already late for school forked over the money and had the work done. Forget the fact that I looked online and found the store offered several less expensive tires that would have been fine, but the 2 front tires on her car were only about a year old and the one with the flat probably could have been patched!!!! Only after the work was completed and the bill showed the itemization, did she see that she was actually charged for the "free alignment" at which time Sal told her it wasnt "free" it was included in the price he quoted her. My wife was taken advantage of because she knows very little about cars and was in a desperate situation. I called the store that night and spoke to Sal (who said he was the Service Manager after I asked to speak to a Manager), but he refused to offer any disount or any resolution. His reponse was that he "picked the tires that he would have purchased and included the alignment because she asked to have the job done right." I gave him an earfull, but it did little good. My wife has now told everyone she knows to stay away as have I. BEWARE, do not expect them to be be upfront and honest to those needing help. Apparently, they target those with little automobile knowledge by using confusing and shady sales methods. We wont be buying tires Firestone again.

My review is based on a few different experiences. My first encounter with this Firestone was on a Sunday afternoon when my brakes went out on me. The mechanic that helped me filled up my brake fluid for me since there appeared to be a leak. He was very helpful about what the problem could have been with the little time left of this establishment being open for the day. I have gotten a few oil changes here as well, never had any problems with my Yukon until I went to a different location and all of the sudden I have an oil pan leak....strange... My last experience is the reason why I would never recommend this particular Firestone to anyone...I brought my truck in to have my rear brakes done. After a few hours I get a call that it was done. I go up there to pick up my truck and I notice my Wendys frosty card is missing out of my cup holder (petty I know but I pay attention to whats in my vehicle at all times). I get home and see on of my rim caps is missing too. I had all four when I bought my truck and obviously all four when I brought it in for repairs. I call up Firestone and ask them about it and they give me the run around about how they put the rim caps back on...if it was sealed back on...why is it gone? The person I spoke with said he might would look around and give me a call back. Still waiting for that call....whomever stole my rim cap and Wendys card...I hope you are pleased with yourself.

I have to say that for some things they do try to over charge, and always say your car needs SOMETHING else, but i have to admit whenever Ive taken my cars i got good service. I recently took my 2013 accord, and they accommodated me on a better price than Honda Schaumburg and other local shops for my tires and other services. I guess it just depends on who you get. Like everywhere, you get the lazy ones that just wanna get their weekly paycheck, or you get the ones that actually care about customer service and help you out.

Customer service is frustrating. I brought my car in for a diagnostic and they werent able to help at all. And to make them sound professional, they made up a story that it my car needs an engine rebuild. And I know about cars and engines. And they said the engine is trash and couldnt even explain why. And a typical engine rebuild costs about 6K. Stupid people. They should just stick to changing brake pads and maybe oil changes. Maybe not actually

Ive been here twice once tonight and once year ago and there is always rude service. This time they brake my tire pressure sensor and they charge me 6$ for tire scrap when I only did balance rotation and changed two wheels... where do I left any scrap if I took shells whit me ? Very poor customer service and service skills... its not worth to lose your time here

By far the best service Ive had with auto care. I needed new brakes and a few other parts and everything was done so quickly and efficiently. The manager, ado, was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was patient with the millions of questions I had and the repair went as smooth as could be with no issues after. Would definitely recommend and will be returning! :)

I made appt on tuesday for thursday at 6pm for basic wheel alignment. I came there on thursday before 6pm just to hear that theres no appt made and technician is already gone for the day. That was extremly unprofessial as well with customer service. Avoid that place!

Charles was honest and upfront. I appreciated how quick his service tech looked at my tire issue and especially how fast it took to fix the issue. No runarounds ay all. Will be back!
